Frogg Toggs Original Pro Action Rain Pant
Way better than trash bags.
Well, they definitely keep my girlfriend dry, but the crotch is a mile too low, obviously not designed for biking or motorcycling. when you sit on the bike they have a tendency to hike up/annoy me when she ride pillion.

NOT waterproof, but packs light and small
I first was only in a little fog and with very minimal water on the jacket/pants it does not leak. However when in my first downpour, they leak very badly straight through the material. Reason being it is a "breathable" material and therefor can only hold water if back at a certain pressure. Unfortunately this pressure is very low since a rider on a seat has a pool of water collect around him, and it WILL go through to your pants.
I will be trying the nelson rigg 6000 suit and see how it goes since it has PU layer. BIG THANKS to revzilla for taking back the frogg toggs !

Works as advertised
The big problem with these is getting them on once it starts raining. You have to be in an area where you can take off your shoes to slip them on. This is difficult if you're already on the road in the middle of nowhere. That being said, these are cheap and work great if you put them on before you start your ride in the rain.

Does the job
These pants kept me dry on my commute to work. They are a great bang for the buck. I'm a short/petite gal so there was no way I was going to buy more expensive pants, knowing they will be too long for me. These work fine for my commute.

Good product for the price
I think that I am in line with other reviews on this product that it is a good value for the money. I bought a pair for my wife for a recent ride and then decided to buy another for myself just in case-and wouldn't you know it rained. They were fairly easy to get on and resemble a high density paper product so they are lightweight and comfortable. On first instinct you look at these (as our colleagues did) and think that they are very cheap and almost seem like they would disintegrate but I would compare their durability to trying to rip a Tyvek envelope-not easy. If you bought these for commuting every day or were taking a long trip that you were sure to be in some wet weather regularly, you might want to upgrade. For our purpose, they were "just in case" gear that don't take up a lot of space or add a lot of weight. When we got to the other end we were dry as a bone. The next morning my wife put them on again as we climbed down a mountain just as an extra skin with the temps in the mid 40's they helped as a wind barrier.

I gave these to my father for Christmas, and he hadn't used them until we went on a 1K mile trip. It somehow managed to rain on every travel day we had and these pants started leaking and falling apart on the second day. I would recommend them as an emergency only pant.
