Skinny jeans anyone?
After discovering that my Mercury 2.0 pants were way to short in the inseam to wear, I found the Fly Racing Butane pants as a comparable item, with a slightly longer inseam. I decided to give them a go and found a great deal online. When they arrived I had to measure the inseam on the 40T that I ordered and they read 37". The pants seem to be of ok quality. I'm honestly not super impressed, but have limited options at this price point. I typically wear a 38"x38" jean, and after reading the reviews decided to try a size larger as I will be wearing these as an overpant, or at least that was the idea. It's a good thing that I did, because I don't think I'd be able to even pull on the 38". I haven't ridden with them yet because I have been tossing around the idea of returning them. After trying on the Fieldsheer Mercury 2.0 pants, I was a little disappointed with the quality of the Fly Butanes. The fit is very snug. Typically, this wouldn't be an issue for me, however, in the riding position (just sitting on the bike) these are pretty uncomfortable behind the knees. I would think this would have been considered by the manufacturer. I need a winter pant for commuting about an hour in weather, and I am not sure how warm these pants are going to end up being. Wearing them around the house I figured they would be too warm, but i haven't noticed that being an issue. I hope that after I wear them on the bike I decide they are ok instead of hating them because then I wouldn't be able to return them. I might have to wear them as regular pants instead, and pack my work pants.

Great value just a smidge short.
I'm 6'3'' with a 36 inch inseam. Best fit of the "Tall" sizes. Could use another inch in inseam. Great value and 3 season ability to ride. It's greatly appreciated to find TALL sizing.

Very satisfied
I bought a Fly jacket a few months ago and was very happy with it. I had thought about getting the pants as I try to ride my Suzuki Burgman as much as possible, even in temps as low as 30 degrees. With Fathers day right around the corner it was easy to convince the wife. They came in a few days after ordering them and I was very pleased with the quality, fit and style. Only small complaint is above 80 degrees they get a little hot. But I expected this so I'll live with it as protection is more important then comfort. I'd buy them again in a heart beat!

Good Value
I bought these pants with the Trekker jacket. A little tough to get on because of the short fly and rain gutter cover of it, but good protection in the knees and the leg zips are great. Not much venting. For sizing, I wear them over kakis with or without the liner.

All been said
Can't really add anything , as said , not completly waterproof , but not much is . An old pair of ( gortex I think ) waterproof overpants on top of these kept me bone dry for more than an hour in cyclonic rain . Wish the visor seal had worked that well..........

Fits and looks good
I went with a 32-long and I fit a 30-31 inch jean with a 34 inch inseam and it fits fine. The extra looseness at the bottom isn't noticeable as the velcro tightens everything up. Good pocket positioning but I don't think they're waterproof.
Be careful with the "storm-proofing" flap on the inside: I got the zipper completely stuck on the fabric within 5 minutes and had to get a place to fix it for 10$.

Nice pants.
Great build quality and a nice cool weather pant. Too warm for summer riding. Pants are a little snug in the legs with the liner installed. Not enough leg room to use as overpants unless you have really skinny legs.

Great for the Cold ~35 degrees
I mainly bought these pants for cold weather riding. With the thinsulate lining inside, I don't have to wear anything underneath and the pant's keep me warm. It's a straight cut all the way down and there isn't anything to keep the air off my ankles. So the only minor thing is that my ankles feel cold if I don't tuck them into my race boots.
They are slightly bulky, as most winter gear are.
(I'm 5'6" and bought them in 32 short)
