Firstgear HT Women's Overpants
I bought these pants in 2013 so I figured I'd give them a long-term review. All told, I love these pants and they're now my go-to gear for any riding below 80 degrees. I've worn them hundreds of times over thousands of miles, and they look as good as the day I got them. I previously thought that FirstGear was a lower-tier company compared to others, but I really do like these pants and they feel very premium to me. They have a lot of extra material in the knee section so they never feel tight or impede movement, and they are generally very comfortable in fit. They also have huge zippers that make them easy to get on over some work slacks. However they are designed for colder weather, so they get pretty warm above 80 degrees. You can open the side zippers to vent a bit, but it doesn't work that well. Conversely, with the thermal liner in I comfortably rode to work all winter here in Ohio. Temps down to 20F were ok.
I rode 6,000 miles cross-country and back in May and hit bad weather almost every day. 9 hours straight of rain in Kansas and these didn't soak through the front, although the center of my butt was definitely wet from pooled water in the seat. However that only happened after about 6 hours, and these fared considerably better than any of my other fancy rain gear. Even my expensive Klim goreflexwhateverthehell jacket and Aplinestars "waterproof" boots were soaked through at that point, but the pants mostly held. If you could see the storms I went through, you'd understand how impressive that is.
The only downside is that they look reallllly dorky. My girlfriend says I look like I'm about to parachute into battle, or that I'm the marshmallow man. They have those big bulky knees and taper at the ankles, so they just look bizarre when you're not on a motorcycle.
Overall, great pant that will last a long time. Incredible piece of gear when you consider the price. Just understand that you'll look like a complete dweeb while wearing them.

So far so good
Good fit and feel hope I don't have to use the protection.

I'm a larger man so I was glad to see a larger option. It fits very well and the adjustable armor is great.

Product is as Described - Feature Rich w/out "Bling"
Having the physique similar to that of a "Troll", finding over-pants was a challenge, at least finding a pair that are not through the roof in price. Revzilla made it a whole lot easier with its generous return policy. Having “said” this, I’ve always appreciated the value that FG products bring to the market. The pants are well made, appear durable (though I’ve not had them long enough to rate) are easy to don and doff (side zippers help and are sturdy) and with the insulated liner “installed” are warm enough that I can ride in or around 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, my only complaint (of sorts): I currently have a 40-inch waist and 32-inch inseam (see Troll comment above), so in order to fit my waste I had to get a longer-legged pair. So, the pants bunch up some, are bulkier than I would prefer and have come into contact with external bits-o-pieces of the motorcycle, e.g. the front cylinder exhaust “header”. Though the header is shielded, I’ve smelled a brief burnt odor a time or two. I am reluctant to complain about this since the issue is really with my weight and not the over pants. Having said that, it would be helpful if the pants came in Troll-leg lengths. And as ALWAYS Revzilla customer service is exemplary. The on-line video reviews are also very helpful.

Excellent Cold Weather Overpants
I got these for cold weather riding and these pants do exactly what I had hoped, I've used them for a 20-30 minute commute at hwy speeds and they've kept me warm at temps as low as 32 degrees with only blue jeans underneath. I've also used them in temps up to mid 50's without needing to remove the insulated liner. The Velcro at the bottom of the legs helps keep the wind out and the full length side zippers make it very easy to get in or out of them with boots on. I found the sizing chart to be accurate and they are quite comfortable.

Very Pleased and happy with first pair of riding pants
This is a first time review from a first time writer..I purchased these riding pants in December when they were on sale....I have been wanting to buy them but just hesitant because of price....Friends of mine have the older ones and really like them....So, since I got a new BMW R1200gs (2016) I have more air and less wind protection, I got these with the liner......
The first pair I got had a snap bad so I asked Revzilla to change which they did without hesitation. In fact, ordered them done day and had the new pay the next afternoon....
Because my inseam is 29" and my waist is 37-38, I got the 38 Short.....These pants are wonderful. Fit great and after a small adjustment of the knees pads, they are perfect....
When wearing riding, the length is perfect. The legs fall right at the beginning of the boot and ankle....Knee pads fall right into place......
When walking around, they tend to drop down to my hips...I noticed there is a belt loop, but decided to get some Chum suspenders...Now everything is perfect....Perfect length, perfect waist and the ability to put on and off is facilitated by the ¾ length zipper.....The only thing that is somewhat bothersome is the zipper. It tends to get stuck on the material on the side of the zipper. (Reason for only 4 stars)....Other than that theses are very good pants and the liner make them perfect for weather temperatures down to 40F....The top of my legs and shins are not cold...Coupled with my 20 year old Kilimanjaro jacket and liner. I am warm......Sometimes is use my Gerbing heated vest. but after 20 years, things are beginning to get tight.........Hehehehe....Highly recommend...

Not a single bad thing I can say
I always worry about buying clothes or gear online due to fit, seeing the style, etc, but this one was a slam dunk for me. And it was even riskier since it was a Christmas gift. The sizing was spot on, the style is simple overall, but just how I like it. The armor sits in exactly the right place.
But the single most important thing, I haven't gotten a chance to go colder yet, but at 10 F, my legs feel absolutely nothing. It is pretty amazing.

Short length is way too long
I bought the Firstgear Kilimanjaro jacket, which fit like it was tailored for my size. I figured I would have luck with their matching pants in short length. I have a 28 inch inseam, so I figured that getting the short length of these should be fine. I was very wrong. While I got the short length version, waist was fine, the quality was excellent, however the length seems to be 4-5 inches too long. I figured I could have them tailored, but I am wondering if that is possible. As of now, the knee protection is covering my shins. It's a shame. I figured I was in luck when I saw these were offered in short length, but their short length is for folks who are about 5'8-5'9, not 5'4".
