Once again 13 months is all it take for HT pants to start leaking . I ll see if re waterproffing works . Frankly 6 times I bought firstgear and 5 times then end up being sent back for warranty. 4 of them were TPG products . Warranty is no issue but the fact that they fail is. second pair of HT pants failing. 1 was from seam opening up . 2) zipper coming lose. At these pricing it s not worth it . Rather spend more cash now then latter. First gear sucks . November 18, 2015
Nice overpant I wasn't sure what to expect in this price range. Seems like stuff is either cheap or Klim-type price. These pants are very good and I am satisfied with the purchase. Easy on with the full zip legs. Everyday riding pants that don't take forever to put on or take off. October 12, 2015
This pair of pants are a great value . I would recommend them. I wore these pant for the BMW rally in Billings Montana and they were great. I did the iron butt challenge --1000 miles in 24 hours--and drove thru thunderstorms and high winds. They stayed dry and performed flawlessly. I would highly recommend them. July 27, 2015
Great for commuting I wear these overpants every day for my commute to and back from work. They're warm enough to keep my warm in the early morning, but not to hot for the afternoon return trip. Great fit and top notch quality. June 1, 2015
disappointing 1.) A recurring theme with this brand - the forms were not correct. In other words the material is not shaped correctly before sewing them into the garment. These are over pants. I'm a pretty normally shaped, fit guy. They fit over my pants completely normally at the waist and all along the legs. But at the hip (buttocks), they are FAR too tight. The result is smashed dude parts and wrinkled dress pants. 2.) Warmth and waterproofing - these were perfectly fine. 3.) Quality - poor. Another theme with this brand. They use good materials, but the craftsmanship is poor, so seems have a tendency to pull loose. The webbing behind the crotch zipper ripped loose while removing the pants after about 3 months. 4.) Ease of use - Compared to the pants I was replacing (from Joe Rocket), these were much more difficult to put on and take off over other clothes. a.) the side zippers do not continue very far up the legs. b.) the inner liner never stays snapped into place and slides freely within the outer layer, out of position, c.) the (relatively) tight rubber band at the bottom of the inner liner holds onto your socks, holding the inner liner in while the outer layer slides off. I recognize that this is probably an element designed to help with weatherproofing, but I noticed no improved all weather performance relative to the pants these replaces. I would not recommend this brand. I bought the pants, a jacket, and gloves, all from this brand. All three demonstrated similar issues. Good materials, poor design (as in, the forms for the material were not shaped correctly, not as in the visual design), and very poor craftsmanship. April 19, 2015
Great pants I used to just layer up prior to going out for a ride. Now that I live where the temps are from 30s to 70s year around and rains a lot, I wanted something that would keep me warm. These pants are well worth it, I order my pants size and it fit snug at first but broke in and it's very comfortable. Knee pads are adjustables and easy to get in and out of the pants. April 5, 2015
Great Riding Pants I wear these over my jeans, and with a pair of Sidi Apex boots. The 32s fit me really well (5'11", 150 pounds, athletic build). Someone complained about the location of the knee armor but I was able to slightly reposition it on the velcro that holds it in place and now the armor lines up perfectly with my knees. The legs unzip all the way up and the removable liner automatically opens as you unzip each leg, so I've not had any problems putting them on over my boots. Although they look great in black, I would have chosen a lighter color if it were available. It would be cooler in the summer where I live (AZ desert). February 3, 2015
Well made, but poor design These pants are huge..! Very baggy and not easy to don on/off even with shoes, let alone riding boots. Not the best choice for the daily rider/commuter... too cumbersome. My main issue though is with the knee protection. The pads hang low and the top of the pad sticks under the knee making walking uncomfortable. When on the bike with knees bent, they cover the knees but are far from comfortable. They're worth the money but consider spending more and getting a more ergonomic design. January 26, 2015
