Dainese Torque Pro In Boots 5 5 7 7
My favorite riding boot It appears that Dainese is discontinuing this particular model so my review applies mainly to the fit/size and the brand in general. I usually wear a US size 10.5E. The Alpinestars Supertech-R size 44 fits me OK but is slightly longer and narrower than a perfect fit for my foot. Dainese size 45 fits my foot perfectly! The Torque Pro In boot is the most comfortable boot I have worn while riding and is very nice to walk in. I like the appearance, feel and secure fit of the Dainese "boot in and suit leg over" fitting system. The lower leg is less bulky without sacrificing protection. The mating hook and loop patches attach the Dainese suit leg securely to the boot top. As usual, Revzilla customer service was superior and delivery was prompt. September 6, 2012
Great boots I chose these boots because they have Dainese's best features, and offer the best protection. I chose the Torque Pro In boots because I like the look of the "in" boots with leathers and they work well with jeans also. September 4, 2012
The fit is "spot on" Several reviews suggested that this product was narrow. I agree it is more narrow than my Sidi boots. But, it fits my feet "spot on". That is because I am an average width. I took the time to look up my foot size after carefully tracing it out on paper and measuring the length and width per references online. So if your feet are wide, this may require you to rethink the sizing (going up) or not getting this product at all. The return policy and the help that is available online and on the phone were both factors that helped sell me on using this company. I purchased these boots so I could ride to work and wear them there. These boots don't flop around under the pants like my outs. Unfortunately Dainese may claim that the in boot matches velcro on the inner part of the pants, but both the full race suit and the pants from Dainese, do not have velcro. Either they are wrong or the pants were made before the boots. August 14, 2012
Give it time to shape to your feet, but it a great boot. Get a pair ! I love these boots !! Very stylish " the boots looks dam good" on my on my feet. When I first put them on they was a little tight . I'm a size 10 and ordered a 11, because no 10 1/2 and still tight; I use dress sock with them......works fine. Yes get these boots, but check your size good. June 18, 2012
Fantastic Boot These are the best boot's I've ever owned very comfortable and work whether it's 30 degrees out or 90 degrees out. Would recommend to anyone. I live in an area where one day it's raining and the next it's 94 so having a pair that can deal with that is necessary and these do very well. December 12, 2011
Great boots! Awesome boots, lots of style and comfort, as well as protection. Very warm so really not a great boot for long distance summertime riding. For that, you really need a boot with air flow. Overall, an excellent product! August 8, 2011
New Favorite Boot for 2011. I have been riding these a ton this season. I like the in because they work perfectly with my Dainese suit, but also look great under a pair of jeans if I am cruising around town. I love having track level protection on subtly under my street clothes. The break in time was non-existent and they were extremely comfortable. The last thing was the sensitivity. I was very pleased with the level of feedback I got while riding. Sometimes track boots protection can make them bulky and less responsive. Torque Pro In - FOR THE WIN! April 13, 2011

Answer:
Dainese boots tend to run somewhat thin, as far as width is concerned. If you are looking for a boot that runs a little wide, we would recommend checking out the SIDI ST Boots (or other SIDI race boots) and the TCX R-S2 Boots.

Answer:
I have a pair of Dainese TRQ Race-Out Air boots. Although my boot is a different model from this particular model in question, I am sure that the sizing schemes between the two are extremely similar, if not the same.

In my opinion, I believe that the Dainese boots are on the narrower side. I have wider feet than the norm, I am a true 9US shoe size when it comes to sneakers and dress shoes. I went up one size up for my Dainese boots and purchased size 43 (10US Size). I am glad I did. Width wise, I fit just right. However, the length is a little longer, which is completely fine.

You have to understand that motorcycle boots do not have shoe laces to allow you to fine tune the fit like your regular sneakers do. You have to get a pair of boots that will fit you just right because there are no other adjustments to make to allow them to fit your feet.

My personal opinion is that if you have slightly wider feet, go at least half a size up for Dainese boots. They are on the narrower side. For me, I had to go one full size up to fit just right. Also, follow Dainese's size conversion chart because it is very accurate.

I know that the calf size is adjustable in both of those boots. I am interested if there is an additional difference in calf diameter between them.

Answer:
These boots have an adjustable section that covers the back of you shin in the Achilles tendon area. This section can be adjusted tighter or looser for people with different size legs or in situations where you want to wear the boots over your leathers.

Answer:
I have two sets of Dainese wear. One full race suit and a pair of pants. Neither have the matching patches inside. Either they are mistaken or the pants were made before they started putting velcro on the pants.

Answer:
This boot actually does have a shin protector, it is just styled differently for use inside a suit, vs outside. You might get slightly more coverage from the 'out' version, but the protection level is the same.

Answer:
I just got a pair of these..I had a pair of Dainese Torque Out's. The Axial Pro In's do still have shin protection, virtually the same as the Torque Out's if you are not wearing them under your leathers...and if you do wear them under leathers...most leathers will have shin protection leading down to the boot as well...so you should have good shin protection either way. Comparing these to my Alpinestar SMX's...the Alps have about an inch higher shin guard, but they are meant to be worn outside of your leathers....yeah, wearing a set of "out's" with jeans might afford you a slightly larger area of shin protection, but I don't think it's enough to shy away from the Axial Pro In's...especially when worn with leathers. They are VERY good/comfortable boots and have the best protective design that I have seen so far in a boot...in or out.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
