Dainese Hybrid Shirt 4.5 5 6 6
Great summer hybrid shirt for use with other gear I bought this shirt when it was on clearance and I am glad I have! The shirt itself only has armor on the shoulders and elbows but if you are wearing a long sleeve shirt or other gear it contours well. It has great airflow and very comfy but can be a slight pain to get on the first time. Only thing I would caution is that it runs small. I had to get an XL and it fits snug but stretches enough to not make it uncomfortable. Aside from using it with other gear (chest armor, kevlar shirt, etc...) its a great shirt for summer riding. Only ok A bit pricy and the stitching in the bottom came loose quickly but it's a great protective product May 3, 2014
Comfy and stylish. Comes small. Order 2 sizes bigger. I am 5'11, 190 lb wearing size XL. April 21, 2014
Runs Small This product from Dainese is a clever idea and if you live in a desert climate like I do, then the need for air flow protection is paramount. There are days it's easily over 110 degrees for several weeks straight during the day and a jacket at those temps almost becomes unbearable, and arguably not safe due to heat exhaustion. I gave this 4 stars because: Cons: Runs very small. I bought a medium and it is literally painted on. The armor is very good, but I'm worried about the fabric holding it together long term. No back protection. Pro's: Amazing breathability Excellent armor I wear it under my Draggin Shirt that is made of kevlar, so have armor and skin/rash protection if I go down. As a point of reference the medium I got that is so snug on my 170 LB, 5.8 frame. I am actually ordering another one, but this time in an XL. I do recommend this product. Great quality product Was looking for a hybrid shirt for those hot summer days to compliment other Dainese gear. Looking forward to wearing the hybrid shirt once the weather warms up. December 17, 2012
great to wear on very hot days i needed something that breathes better and more comfortable and weighs less than a mesh jacket! this is perfect! i gave it 4 stars because it does not come with a back protector. they could have easily incorporated a G2 protector!!! as always Dainese makes top stuff. happy with the purchase. great price too. Parker F: Great protection under garment for hot Arizona weather May 3, 2014
A shopper asked: Hey guys, just wondering if the protection in this shirt is only the plastic shoulder pads and elbow pads? Is there any high density foam under the plastic on the shoulder or around the collar bone area? From the photos it just looks a bit light on in the shoulder protection. Looking to use this under a vented jersey with a roost guard and neck brace over the top for motorbike riding instead of elbow pads and the shoulder pads on the roost guard. Cheers. Mar 25, 2014

Wan K: There is foam padding in the shoulders and elbow the hybrid is super light weight and comfortable. Also the shoulder area does have some adjustment as well I wear the hybrid shirt combined with a dainese back protector . I hope this info helps you will be help with your purchase. Plus you can't go wrong anything dainese makes. Mar 25, 2014

Joseph M: Hey, there is foam padding under the elbow and shoulder pads but only for comfort. Nothing around the collar bone - I use it under street clothes when I don't feel like wearing my motorcycle jacket. The elbow pads extend to give extra protection for the forearm. Hope this helps. Over all I really like it. Mar 25, 2014

Parker F: Yes it's only the shoulder and elbow/wrist guards held together by some very thin fabric that has zero protection. I like it as I wear a kevlar draggin long sleeve shirt over it for great air movement. But order up a size or even two! I'm 5.8, 175 lbs got a medium and need an XL.... Mar 25, 2014

Chris O: I have this armoured shirt. There is no protection around collar bone. It's form fitting and the shoulder pads are just that. But they do feel like they would hold up well in a crash. Mar 25, 2014

nikolay n: Ya, there is foam under the pads. Overall it's a very fine light shirt with protection. I bought it for the summer; still did not wear it Mar 25, 2014

A shopper asked: I have an Icon Stryker Vest. In your opinion, do you think someone could wear this and throw the vest over top of it to provide chest and back protection? Oct 12, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Wan K: That's how I wear my hybrid shirt. First is my hybrid then a dry fit shirt and my icon Stryker vest over it. When it's cooler out hybrid , t shirt and hoodie then my vest. I hope this helps, The hybrid shirt is super light and comfortable you will forget you are wearing a armed shirt. Oct 12, 2014

Eric B: I don't think so. I love the Hybrid Shirt but use it with a seperate-piece back protector and sepreate chest proteector. I think the shoulder armor on thee Short will bee too bulky with the shoulder protection on the Icon Vest. Oct 13, 2014

Joseph M: I can't honestly say since I don't know what size or style the icon vest is. I wear it under hockey sweaters and hoodies but it won't fit under most of my jackets.
Hope this helps

Neil M: Yes,I think so. Maybe a little bulky in the shoulders. The shirt is very very snug. I would go a size larger. Oct 12, 2014

Kent S asked: Other Dianese armor I've bought runs very small; I normally wear a medium, sometimes a large, and I've had to go with an XL with them. Is this top sized like the rest of their armor? I'm 5' 9, 175 lbs. It looks perfect to match up with my rodeo vest, which doesn't have any shoulder protection, and these elbow guards look really good too. Dec 28, 2013

Brandon R: I got an XL im 6'4'' 235lbs its a little snug (due to Xmas weight) but it holds the plates in place nicely. I would say go with a large. My buddy is 6 foot 190lbs and wears L Dainese gear, fits good. It's a good alternative to a jacket especially in the summer. Dec 28, 2013

Eric B: This is sized pretty normally. I'm 6'1" 200# and bought a large that fits great. I usually have to buy XL to get long enough sleeves but the L has sleeves that work for me.

Great product.

Mark S: It does run on smaller end of the size range. The forearms have adjustable straps to tighten so you can get the arm/armor to stay in the right place if you size up and it's a little loose. Dec 28, 2013

A shopper asked: Is there another shirt like this with a zipper with out paying the premium price of the forcefeild line Oct 22, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The Hybrid Shirt is going to be the least expensive protective shirt that we carry, which does not have a zipper. The only 2 options that have a zipper are the Forcefield Pro Shirt and Forcefield Action Shirt, which are each more expensive. Oct 22, 2012
