Very good gloves.
In a ~25 mph low-side fall I had zero hand damage. Rest of my body was fine, but hurting from impact bruises - my hands were unaffected.
Knuckle protection is tough, palm protection is very good for no-race glove. Didn't even scratch leather much in my minor accident.
Flexibility is okay, which is what you want, protection takes layers. They broke in after 5 -6 hours and are now adequately flexible.
Overall I'm very confident wearing these gloves.

Great looking glove, airflow is non-existing
I bought these gloves about a month ago and they felt a tad small, seeing as how I fit other small gloves, guessing I should have went a step up for the medium. That's my fault. They did break in well and I enjoy the feel of them. The leather is supple, which I expected no less from the Italians but the white really starts to "discolor" after just half a month. These being a replacement for my Alpinestar summer gloves though, these Essentials seemed to flow no noticeable air onto my hand. Being in this summer heat, with my jacket, and Ogio backpack really causes me to sweat, and in less than a month, the gloves are already in terrible shape. I don't think these will be terrible in the fall, winter, or spring, but the summer will definitely require something breezier. Gloves look great, will definitely protect me in a fall, but they just aren't what I was hoping for during these hot days.

No air flow - boo
If you are looking for perforation to provide ventilation this is not the glove for you. There are small holes but you can't feel any air flow. Other than that they are well made. At this project you should get a lot more protection though. I sent mine back and got the Icons, they're great for a lot less $.

Love them
Didn't want a full gauntlet just to go to work/cruise for a few hours. New to motorcycle gear but the difference between gloves and motororcycle gloves is real. Beyond feel on the bike (great) and protection (good) they are really well made leather gloves.

Fit: for reference, I wear a medium Mecanix work glove. the medium Dainese fits perfectly. They are a bit snug to pull on but they are shaped perfectly to my hand when on. I imagine the snug wrist is to help aid retention if pulled in a slide.

@100 miles: no issues, still love them

Simple but effective.
Like a lot of Dianese products these are on the expensive side, especially considering they come with fewer features than most other short cuff gloves from that brand. That being said, these are true to fit, and feel well made. They provide great tactile feedback, and don't restrict movement too much.

Great product.
This is my first pair of gloves I purchased, at first they were a little snug but after a few weeks they became more comfortable to wear. The protection on them is really nice.

Nice, but small
I tried on a pair of these today - though they fit well once I got them on, the opening to put my hand into the glove was much smaller than I would have expected. I had serious problems getting my hand into the gloves, but they fit fine once on. Sending them back to try something a bit larger.

Bit concerned about the synthetic suede palm. I purchased a pair of Alpinestars - Thunder Gloves last year and by the end of the season my fingers and palm were visible through several portions of the glove. The material just did not hold up to the hand-to-grip interface and made me question even the safety of it. Can i expect the same durability from this glove or will it live several seasons?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: My gloves are still going and I use them 6 days a week on my commute and weekend touring rides.
Are the gloves waterproof?
A shopper on Aug 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No its not waterproof, but I have ride in the rain two three times already, it hold up pretty good.
Does this glove fit the same as the Carbon Cover S-ST?
Gerard D on Jul 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yep, my gloves are the exact same size as my Carbon Covers. Nothing different other than the fact that my Carbon's are full gauntlet.
