Seams ripping prematurely
After one year of very infrequent use, the seam just below the zipper has come apart and is ripping down the right leg. The material is fraying in a way that is not repairable, so basically they are now useless. If you want spend nearly $200 per year on pants, then these are for you.

Good product, but I think they could do better
I actually really liked these pants, minus the part where some of the stitching failed above the thigh and crotch area.

The adjustable knee pads, hip protection and waterproof insert were great, but I had a couple of seams fail on me after a few rides.

Id certainly buy them again, if they fixed the stitching.

If you are considering to buy them, I think they are worth it, but I'd get them one size bigger (even though I feel they should should be fitted), so there is less stress on the seams.

Thanks RevZilla for helping me facilitate the warranty return.

Great pants
Excellent ventilation and they are pretty comfortable. The liner is removable so when the vents are open the air flows down against your skin rather than the exterior of the liner like the Overpants. The only negative thing I can say about these pants is that if you are built with large legs, you will need to buy a larger waist size for them to fit.

excellent pants
This is an excellent riding pants. With my normal size I can wear it either over the base layer or over jeans as well. Stops wind from blowing in in cold weather and for warm weather I can remove the inner layer. The knee guard also fits in my knees when riding. I can't speak for the protection as I haven't gone down yet and hopefully I don't have to test its protection ability. Overall, I am satisfied with this product.

Excellent Warm weather textile pants
Purchased these about a month ago. I ride in >100°F humid rainy NC and needed something that is waterproof and cool enough to not kill me at stop lights. This pant has performed excellently with only two minor flaws.

The waterproof liner is very difficult to remove when your legs are sweaty. If you are riding in the hot rain, make sure to be careful when taking these off.

Order these LONG. I'm 6'6", 170lbs and I got the Large Tall pant. These fit fine when standing but when i zip them to my jacket they ride a little high. Waist and length fit true to size, but remember these ride higher than your jean inseam. ORDER LONG!

Exactly what I was looking for
These pants are great. I bought them before I mad a 500mile trip on my Daytona 675 and I couldn't be happier.

I ran into rain that lasted ~2hrs and they kept me perfectly dry. After the rain let up I was able to take out the liner and open them up to let air in.

They are comfortable and I feel protected. Next test will be winter. ( In the South so a cold fall for you northerners )

When I ordered these as a large the pants legs were a little short for someone that is 6' had to exchange for the large longs.

A quality pair of pants...
Cortech's pants are a good product for the price. In retrospect, I'd have spent a bit more money to get a pair of riding pants that were a bit more stylish with a better over-all fit. Otherwise, and as with everything I've purchased from RZ, I'm quite satisfied with this gear. BTW, these pants run a size small. I generally wear a 32/34 waist, and my original pair were far too tight to be comfortable. Upon reorder, I got a pair of large/longs, and they fit nicely. I'm 5'11" 175lbs.

The pants fit to size and the knee armor adjusted as advertised
The pants fit well and are warm with the liner in. The weather has been too cold to test the air flow and how cool they are in warmer weather. The only downside is that one of the leg retainers for the liner pulled off when I took the pants off and there is no back pocket for a wallet or ID. They fit well and apper to have good protection.

Great commuter pants
Great pants. Use these on a daily basis to work, I matched them with the Cortech 3.0 jacket. When it gets hot just remove the insert and you get additional airflow. Very happy with them.

Great pants, but not over pants
These are great pants for warm or wet weather. However, do order them with the expectation that you can wear them over even a pair of shorts. They are definitely sized to wear over only a base layer. If you order with that in mind, you will be very satisfied.

Its a quality product. the legs fit inside my boots just fine. I wish they had stirrups so that they'd stay inside my boots while I ride. I don't see why I can't get a seamstress to sew a set in.
And its not Richard,... its Gumby Mamola..!

Do these pants have a stretch panel in the crotch?
Will C on Apr 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have my pair for about a year. NO stretch panel in these pants , though that is a great idea.

One thing to note on these pants, the interior of the knee area is pretty rough. The seams on the inside are not smooth and after several hours of riding (a sport bike in my case) the knees can get pretty raw.

Also, if you have a longer inseam, these pants are a bit short.
Are these designed as over pants or stand alone pants?
Richard C on Oct 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I don't know how they were designed but I don't use them as over pants. They work very well as regular pants and with the liner are good for cold days. Probably not suited to be overpants.
I assume the zipper only works w/ other Cortech jackets, not Fieldsheer, like I have. But, does it ship with another portion of zipper so it can be sewn into a jacket, making it 100% compatible with any jacket?
Fred N on Oct 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Every piece of Cortech or Tourmaster gear I have bought has had the extra flap with the zipper to attach to other brands. Unless they have changed them, it should have the zipper. I will say, if you have larger legs like I do, go with the Tourmaster version, it is a little looser fit
Will these pants zip on to my Cortech GX Air Series 2 jacket?
Daytona675Guy on Jun 17, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, there is a back zipper on the jacket for the pants. Love this gear!
Cortech GX Sport Pants. Are these mesh.? if the vents are closed, are they waterproof in any way?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The pants are constructed of a heavy nylon material. The vents do have a mesh lining. I have ridden in the rain with the vents closed and did not experience any seeping of water into the pants.
Do these pants vent? I'm looking for a pair to ride in 45-75 degrees that can vent when it's warm. Thanks.
Matthew B on Sep 18, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They have two vents, one on each thigh and have a removable liner. I have used the pant from 60 degrees to about 75 degrees and they were great.
hi, i bought a medium pair of this pants, and it didnt fit, i am 34 of the waist, what size do you recommend?
A shopper on Mar 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: I got a small in the Scorpion's, which is listed as 30-32". I'm 6', ~150 pounds, ~29" waist. The small fits quite well, and it's tight enough to allow me to just wear these pants if I want, or with a pair of jeans underneath, no problem. The waist allows for enough velcro adjustment to keep it snug. With a 34" waist... you might be okay with medium, but if you like extra room you might step up to a large. Depends on how stocky your legs are and what kind of room your looking for. Bare legged? (The liner's really nice on bare skin). Over a thick pair of pants? You decide.
My usual size is waist 32 inseam 36. That fits perfectly for a Levi's for example. Could M (Tall) fit?
A C on Jun 23, 2016
