Answer: 
I got a small in the Scorpion's, which is listed as 30-32". I'm 6', ~150 pounds, ~29" waist. The small fits quite well, and it's tight enough to allow me to just wear these pants if I want, or with a pair of jeans underneath, no problem. The waist allows for enough velcro adjustment to keep it snug. With a 34" waist... you might be okay with medium, but if you like extra room you might step up to a large. Depends on how stocky your legs are and what kind of room your looking for. Bare legged? (The liner's really nice on bare skin). Over a thick pair of pants? You decide.

large to wear without jeans or xl to fit over jeans. they have alot of adjustment in the waist. I am also a 34 waist and 33 leg
