Alpinestars Tracker Backpack 3.8 5 4 4
Great bang for the buck It feels a bit thin but has given me no issues. Its waterproof in the main compartment which is cool but the other pockets are all a bit small. The top compartment takes a minute to close each time but the trade off the keeping your stuff dry is worth it. Straps are comfortable, all straps can be tied down which is nice for riding. Surprisingly spacious too June 21, 2016
Great bag for the price. Nice ruck-sack style backpack. Waterproof material, roomy main compartment, with additional smaller compartments for easy access. There is a few silver alpine star logos on it, I covered mine with sharpie marker to subdue them. It does have a waist strap, but no chest strap, I personally don't use either so I dont care. My favorite part is all the straps have retainer bands to keep them from flapping in the wind. February 17, 2016
Where's the chest strap? Even the Slipstream has a chest strap for when you've got a full pack so you can cinch the shoulder straps closer together to free up your shoulders. Freer shoulders = more comfortable control over your motorcycle bars. Yet this is a LARGER pack than the Slipstream, and there's no chest strap? And there aren't even any typical holes or accommodations down the shoulder straps to add an improvised chest strap to the rig. Frustrating. On the plus side, it was pretty inexpensive, I do like the red, and the rest of the pack seems to be okay. It's a little weird that the laptop entry is on the side of the pack OUTside the compartment, with the not-water resistant zipper starting at the top where it's exposed to rain (no zipper garage and the top cover doesn't cover the zipper). Shouldn't the laptop case be inside the compartment, which would've rendered the non-water resistant zipper a non-issue? It started pouring rain here today, so maybe that's what's got me fired up about being critical in these reviews. I hope that's not the case. I mean, a chest strap on a bike/motorcycle pack should be kind of a no-brainier, no? October 13, 2012
Larger pack with a different style This is a pretty nice backpack at this pricepoint; I was considering the Ogio Mach 5, but didn't necessarily want to spend almost double what the Tracker cost. The main compartment is very roomy, and there's lot of areas in the pack for little stuff like an air gauge or small toolkit. It could definitely serve as a weekend bag. My only complaint is that the Alpinestars logo is everywhere. I'm not a big brand kind of guy, so that bothers me a bit, but I'll get over it. September 24, 2012
