Good, but oddly shaped Haven't tried it in heavy rain, but was fine in light rain. Material is fairly heavy, thick, and plastic. Bag is very deep, but narrow, making it difficult to carry more than a book or two. September 24, 2013
meets expectations the back pack is well made and seems like it would be waterproof with lots of internal pockets, it just seems that the seems at the bottom are a little wimpy as you can see light through the welds in the plastic. I got hi viz and it is bright, it also has a reflective logo on it. September 9, 2013
Fits the bill for a newly naked dude Usually rely on my huge panniers and trunk on my Bandit but the new Street Trip is so fun. Still need to tote a laptop and rain gear much of the time and this bag is a great solution. The bag is long and narrow compared to some bags. It's comfortable loaded. The waist harness is just long enough for me to get around my jacket. I'm a 30 waist 38 chest. If you're much bigger you may need to get the tailor to extend it but It's worth it if you ask me. Felt good above legal highway speeds. The high viz yellow looks great in person. I'm psyched about this bag. Glad I found it. July 8, 2013
Good backpack Nice bag pack, Have yet to test in the rain. Material is very stiff. Would like to have more reflective stripes as it covers the reflective material on my jacket. Inside laptop/tablet pouch is padded and offers several pockets. Could use longer chest strap, as now i just ride with out it. OVERALL= Nice bag for he money and if it works in a rain storm then very much worth it! October 22, 2012
Nice waterproof backpack I live and commute in the NW and often have to deal with rainy, foggy weather. I bought the backpack mostly for the waterproof features, but also for the hi visibility yellow option. I want to be seen on those foggy days! I've been using the backpack for almost a month now and it definitely stands up to a good rain. The pack is well-built and comfortable when adjusted right. It's a bit taller (longer) and not quite as wide (thick) as other back-packs I've had. It carries as much volume as I need but because of the shape I sometimes have to pack stuff a bit more vertically (on top of other stuff) more than I like. Other than, it's a great, comfortable pack for commuting. October 20, 2012
Great overall backback. This backpack is very durable and has tons of room. I used for my laptop, charter and books with no problem. I also used it to tote my gym clothes (shoes, socks, shirt, shorts, water bottle, towel) and could not tell I was wearing all that stuff on my back. It is very aerodynamic with little wind resistance. I did have to expand the waist belt all the way to get it around my textile jacket (33 inch waist). January 25, 2012

Brittney S asked: Does weatherproof mean totally waterproof? I'm looking for a backpack that won't absorb wetness Oct 31, 2013

Nikolas L: Hello Brittney

I live in Vancouver Canada and it pours rain here and this is the best I have seen short of any air tight sealed cases. Even the zippers are sealed so you can put your phone in the outer pocket and rain won't hit it.

I have not dunked in in a pool so I can't tell if its scuba ready.....yet

David P: No, it means waterproof. It will be hard for any water to get in there under any real world circumstances. I live in Florida. It rains here. I've had no fears for any gear in that bag. Oct 31, 2013

Donna M: This is by far the best backpack I've had, doesn't let in any wetness through the fabric. The zips are amazing, seek really time and let nothing in. It's worth the money Nov 1, 2013

Mike C: It is made with a thick Polyester that doesn't absorb any water. I've used in a downpour and my contents stayed dry. I am glad I purchased this backpack. Oct 31, 2013

RevZilla: This pack is designed to work with laptops up to 15 inches. However, not all laptops are created equal so it is possible that a "small" 17inch laptop could fit. We would recommend measuring the dimensions of your laptop and then calling our customer service line, or calling Alpinestars at +1 (800) 438-2577. Either way someone should be able to confirm if your specific laptop will work or not. Jul 16, 2012
