The good stuff. I purchased this item else-where, but would like to give my take on it. I've used this from everything to hiking 8 miles, packing clothes for a weekend away, and of-course, it's main use as a commuting backpack. The straps are very nicely padded, the straps for holding a jacket under the bottom of the bag have been used IMMENSELY, I cannot stress how many times I've used those to carry an extra "hoodie" to work without clogging the main compartment I use for my lunch. The included rain cover was a nice addition that I removed, and should probably reinstall. I've used the padded "sunglass" area in the smaller compartment a few times as well. One of my favorite features is the hold-down for the extra length of the straps so they are not flopping around in the wind, smacking everything. I also am a huge fan of the removable waist strap, which I've never felt the need to use. The chest strap has been plenty. The only complaints I have is that firstly I wish it had the clip on shoulder strap system featured in the other models alpinestars offers, that looks useful. And I also wish there were no side cinch straps on the main compartment, it doesn't open far enough to make any use out of them. July 22, 2014
Great riding pack Bought this backpack mainly to commute with before I bought side bags. I put gym shoes and my uniform in it. Occasionally I put my laptop which is a 15 inch ultrabook. I have also discovered how to carry an extra helmet on the back of it by using the side clips. June 10, 2014
A stars backpack I purchased this backpack mainly for school and work purposes and it caries every thing I need with no problem. The rain cover is very nice in the Nebraskan weather especially because it can be 98 then 75 and rainy in 30 min so its nice to have that always with you. The jacket straps/ holder comes in handy more than I imagined also I find myself using it all the time. The laptop pouch fits my laptop which is huge because I have had problems with bags not being big enough for it and its nice to be able to carry it in a more protected pouch. There is also plenty of room for a laptop 2 college books and 3 college notebooks plus in the main pouch and still enough room for the smaller pouch for my wallet phone and ipod at one time. The material is kind of odd in the feel it feels weaker but you can tell its rather durable at the same time. The adjustable chest strap is very nice as well and I found my self re attaching the lower strap so the pack stays on tighter at interstate speeds. Overall the bag is great for the price. May 8, 2014
Great look and works well This bag is great. It has enough space to carry the essential items I need, plus the inside cushions for electronics work well. May 5, 2014
great bag for riding. Great bag. Does not move around when riding at higher speeds April 28, 2014
Best commuter backpack I have ever owned. It is just big enough for books and laptop for my school commute. Also the jacket holder is a life saver when it gets hot. Smart buy. April 21, 2014
Solid Backpack Got this about 3 months ago, no problem or complaints to date. Haven't had to use the waterproof pullover but bit seems to perform as advertised. Laptop slot is highly valued as it is my commuter bag. Not very technical but will do perfect if you're just in need of a decent riding pack. April 14, 2014
Light and Comfortable I haven't had this back pack for too long so if there are any updates and edit with a comment. The main features I bought this back pack over others were because it was light, not overly huge, it has the straps so I can roll up my jacket for storage and it also has the built in rain poncho to keep everything dry. So far I am very pleased but we will see how long the stitching last because it seems to be very light material. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised. April 7, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Steven P: This is a great backpack with no frills attached that is just big enough for my daily needs (laptop, books, etc.). I was tired of big bulky bags that had way more than I needed, and this fit the bill. Jul 28, 2014
kendrick c: Its a good bag overall. Apr 21, 2014
Ying T: nice and affordable Mar 16, 2014
Evan F asked: How water resistant is the bag? If I'm carrying a laptop any water could be bad news. I see in the video is has a rain fly, but if it starts to rain am I going it need to pull over and out it on, or is the bag water resistant anyway? Jul 14, 2014

james b: Mate I'm yet to ride in the rain, but I would say your would need to pull over and cover with rain fly. The material itself is waterproof but I think you would have a problem with zip, water could seep through.
Hope this helps

Yendis B: I have yet to ride with it in the rain. However, the texture of the bag feels as though you would be fine for a short period of time. The bag is solid, I like it alot. Jul 15, 2014

A shopper asked: is one of the shoulder straps detachable so putting the pack on over a jacket is not as difficult? Nov 12, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Kevin C: It's not detachable but it can be loosened up quite a bit. I have an Alpinestars Atem jacket and I just adjust one should strap all the way out to put the bag on and then sinch it up after I put it on. Nov 12, 2013

jamieson h: No the straps are attached. That's one of two negatives to this bag. Other is it needs to be a little bit bigger. Other than that it's a great bag I wear to work all the time Nov 12, 2013

Maxx L: No, but you can easily adjust the straps to make them large enough to easily put over a jacket. Nov 12, 2013

A shopper asked: In the previous question you stated it does not have the option to carry a helmet? but in the product info it says "built in helmet and jacket carrier? which is correct? thank you Oct 1, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
JEFFREY G: Its not really designed for a helmet. You could use one of the straps to hook it through a helmet but it seems like it is designed for a jacket. The helmet would dangle from the bottom if you chose to attach it to the back. Oct 1, 2013

Yendis B: At the bottom of the bag it has straps to connect other items. You could roll and attach a jacket no problem, but not a helmet. Oct 2, 2013

A shopper asked: is the helmet carrier just that dongle thing or does it have a cover? Mar 24, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
PandaSlapCat: The helmet just dangles, the pack is just under being big enough to carry a full-size helmet inside. Jun 1, 2013
Reply to PandaSlapCat Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The "dongle thingy" keeps the rain cover in place. It does not have the option to carry your helmet. Mar 27, 2013
