Alpinestars Roving Backpack
Simple, solid backpack for a solid price.
Great backpack for sport riders who don't need to carry much.
My only complaint is the pack could be a little more comfortable (though maybe I'm just terrible at adjusting straps). Shoulder straps dig into my shoulder armor a little bit creating a sore spot even with both horizontal straps in place. I feel like the shoulder straps don't stay at their adjusted length sometimes, but nothing major. The material is a little thin, but that's to be expected a) at this price, and b) to save weight. Really glad a rain cover is included at this price (just in case). Good storage for such a thin bag, nice laptop pocket with a velcro strap so it's good for commuting to work/school (though the velcro strap is so long it doesn't feel like it's doing anything to hold the laptop in place).
If you want to get a bag to carry a few things around without feeling overburdened by a giant monstrosity but don't want to spend an arm and a leg, this is the way to go. Plus you get to show everyone that you're an Alpinestars snob even when your jacket is covered.

Great riding bag
This bag, although not big on space, looks great and does the job. If all you're carrying is a laptop or some books it's great.
I can fit a squishable pair of sneakers, shirt shorts and lunch into this bag, but that's about it. Small for a commuter, but gets the job done. Think it's worth it for the price. Looks awesome.

Nice bag, horrible zippers
I really wanted to like this backpack. So much in fact that I've purchased two of them. I originally bought the red version. I liked that I could fit quite a bit in it, it was lightweight, pretty comfortable, and the bottle holders, but the adjustable chest strap would frequently come loose from the shoulder strap and both zippers for the main compartment failed after a couple months. (Not at the same time.) I tried to make it work awhile longer (zipping it slowly would usually get the teeth to catch enough for it to stay closed), but had an off while wearing the backpack that put the final nail in the coffin.
I then purchased the green one back in March (six months ago). I have to say I prefer the colour of that one even though it has fewer accents then the red. About three months in, the first zipper came completely off the track in the main compartment. Keep in mind I don't usually stuff my backpack so I don't think it was caused by excessive strain. I just use it every day as a commuter. A month or two later, the second zipper stopped functioning. It takes multiple attempts at zipping the bag for the teeth to line up and actually zip.
It's a huge pain and at this price point, I think this bag should have sturdier zippers. It makes me hesitant to shell out for another AStars bag in the future.

Great backpack but overpriced
So just received this backpack and have been using it for commuting to college. So pro's: lightweight, looks great, very comfortable, stays in place, rain cover, strap management ( this is major if you have ever had to deal with straps beating you down the road), reflective, can hold clothing on bottom, easy to find anything inside of it, expandable, name brand. Con's: overpriced ( in my humble opinion), takes a long time to deploy rain cover, no helmet holder, small, lack of features. But overall Not a bad backpack I love it and don't like it in the same breath it's good in some instances bad in others. But for my needs it works just hope I don't need to carry anything large.

The bag fits very well and is the perfect size for me to avoid over packing. I bought it before a 750 mile each way road trip and it was very comfortable the entire way.

Worth the price.
I couldn't bring myself to buy a $150-$200 backpack, so opted for the Roving backpack. I like the fact that it has the side, mesh pouches on the outside of the bag which are perfect for water bottles or anything else you need quick access to. The fit and finish seems to be on par with what I would accept for a bag in this price range. I've only had the bag for a few weeks, but so far I'm happy with my purchase.
