rain suit came in the nick of time i live in n.e.fla and we had a big storm earlier in the week .my rain suit came on monday, wore it on tues and weds.i got dumped on tues- big time ! rain suit worked great.dry as a bone.im 5'10" 190 lbs and wear the airglide 4 jacket from olympia-xl and alpinestars oxygen air overpants-lg.ordered a large rain suit and it fit well.it was kinda tough getting the rain jacket on over my riding jacket.it worked better for me to put the rain jacket on over my riding jacket first .then put it all on as one.an xl rain jacket would have been to big on me.pants-no problem.the only con i have is the (don't know what they are called ) little plastic closer things that are used to tighten the waist drawstring up are pretty much useless.i just tied mine.that needs to be upgraded.i ordered the hi viz yellow and it is hi viz ! BUYER BEWARE! This is not a rainsuit! The Alpinestars Quick Seal Out Two-Piece Rain Suit looks great and fits perfectly. It goes on and comes off very quickly, and the air flow is what you would normally expect from a rain suit. I have used mine several times in very light rain, and it doesn't keep me as dry as I would expect from a rain suit. Don't get me wrong, my clothes are not getting completely soaked. They're getting slightly damp and the inside liner of the rain jacket and pants are damp as well. I am not talking just about the collar or cuff areas. I'm talking all over. The best way I can describe it is how the inside of a camping tent feels after a rain storm. Unfortunately, it was not until after I used the rain suit that I realized that it doesn't work. Hence, I still need to purchase a rain suit. Unfortunately, I cannot return/exchange this one because it had to be used before I could see if it really worked. I don't blame Revzilla for my situation. They don't manufacture the product ... they sell it. Before purchasing this item, I read all of the reviews that other customers have posted and expected that my experience would match theirs. Obviously, it did not. I would not recommend paying slightly over $100 for a rain suit that does not actually do what it's suppose to, which is keep you dry. September 11, 2014
Color me hi-viz impressed I bought this suite ahead of a recent trip to Tennessee, and had the opportunity to wear the suite for about 150 miles of the trip in a steady downpour. All in all, the suite kept me dry. Put on, sintched up the neck, adjusted the straps and rode for about 150 miles. I took it off when I got the the hotel and I can report that I was dry. The suite did its job quite well and was a great purchase. August 25, 2014
Love it. I'm 6' 193lbs and the large fits perfect. I have not yet worn it in the rain so I can't speak for it's protection or air flow. I would guess from the way it's made the protection will be great. With all the Velcro and elastic snug cords the fit is perfect. Although it packs very small you can put it in a gal. zip lock bag and squeeze the air out of it and cut the size down another third and keep it clean. I bought the high vis yellow. I'm not a high vis kind of guy but if I ever want to attract attention to myself it would be on a motorcycle in the rain. August 11, 2014
For occasional use this two piece is perfect I was looking for something light, small, comfortable but effective for those occasions when the weather radar looked patchy. When stuffed in their pouch they are both light and small enough to squash under the seat. The pants have enough room in the leg to wiggle my boots through and the Velcro bands up the calf help keep the flares tight. The jacket is comfortable and goes easily over the leather and the neck is high enough to stop drips down the neck. My only two criticisms, the leg length needs to be a bit longer and there is very little ventilation (ok in my climate but may be no good in high humidity) July 29, 2014
YES, it's hi-viz I hemmed and hawed about buying this in hi-viz. A few reviewers said it's not really hi-viz. If you think this is not hi-viz, you are BLIND. This was a great buy. I haven't tested it yet, but it's exactly what I was hoping it would be. Considering it's Alpinestars, I'm sure it will be great. June 22, 2014
Another great product by alplinestars great product and after 1300 miles trip, I had to use it a few times. It does the job and pretty well I may add. May 24, 2014
Does what you need it to. Not too fancy but pretty much perfect and priced appropriately. It packs up small, dons quick and easy, and keeps you dry. It fits over my other riding gear and the yellow is seriously bright neon! It doesn't breathe very well, but raingear like this never does. It flutters a bit at speed, but not too bad. I wouldn't want to ride all day in it but won't go on a trip without it! May 13, 2014

David H: Chose the high vis yellow to keep in my bag for afternoon storms in CO. Saw use three times in the first week and still going strong. Packs down small enough into the included bag to always have with me and has been completely waterproof so far. I have worn them in commuting traffic and long distance rides and have been completely happy so far. Aug 10, 2014

Jimmy Y asked: Hi, I use an Astar viper air jacket size Large. What size should I get to wear over my jacket? Jan 5, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Brett W: Hello. I've no experience with the Astar jacket, but if it's similar to an Icon riding jacket, i'd say X-large should do the trick. Pretty roomy, plus you have the cinch for the waist. The sleeves do not have that feature, but gloves usually remedy that.

Happy riding!

Donna L: Jimmy - I have the Viper Air in Large and also wear the Astars Quick Seal Out 2pc suit in Large. It fits great over your gear and goes on quickly when the rain hits. I'm 5'10", 175lbs. Hope this helps. Chris Jan 5, 2014

HOWARD B: measure your chest size with the viper jacket on and then look at which size the waterproof one best suits this new measurement

and then go one size bigger so you can move around in it

Arian O asked: Does this product have waterproof pockets? Jul 31, 2014

Clayton C: No it does not. I have had this suit for approx one year. It is small and lightweight and packs easily. I live on Maui in the rainforest sop this thing gets allot of use in the winter. My only complaint is the lack of something to tighten around the wrists I solved this with Velcro straps or rubber bands. The wrist elastic was a bit large. Though admittedly I am a smaller person. David R: No, the product does not have any pockets. I keep stuff in the pockets of my riding jacket, and if it is raining, everything remains dry when I wear the rain jacket over the top. I highly recommend the Jacket. It is hi-vis so you really stand out on dark winter mornings and evenings. I wear it all the time in winter as it is also very windproof. Regards Dave. Aug 1, 2014

Andrew C: Yes, it is waterproof. I've worn this suit on several long trips, through downpours. And it performed very well. Everything underneath stayed dry. That said, I'd strongly encourage anybody to also purchase waterproof overboots. Even when your core is dry, if your feet are soaked and cold it can be miserable. Jul 31, 2014

A shopper asked: would this fit over motor cycle gear? I am considering buying the Klim Rally Air and wondering if this would fit over it Feb 23, 2014

Ray M: I wouldn't be able to wear this over my motorcycle jacket unless it was a size bigger. I would recommend sizing up by one if you're going to wear a jacket. I'm a smaller guy and wear medium...this jacket is a "just right fit" over my military uniform jacket when I ride...if I had my moto jacket on, it wouldn't fit. Apr 23, 2014

Miles F: The rainsuit fits over my alpinestars two piece leather suit no problem - I don't know how well it would work over a textile jacket- it does't have an enormous amount of room. Feb 24, 2014

Russ V: It should. I have a Coretech jacket and pants with armour, and the suit fits fine over them. Feb 23, 2014

Michael K: Yes, it is meant to go over full gear. It has some strategically placed Velcro to tighten it up so it doesn't flap around so much. Packs very tightly so I can keep it under my seat. The hi vis shows up well on a rainy day too. Feb 23, 2014

Daniel N asked: I wear a large A* t-gp r jacket. What size would you recommend so it won't be too baggy? Jul 24, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Ray M: Daniel,

Aloha! I.m a military guy living in Hawaii and use my rain suit A LOT. I normally wear a medium, but the jacket and pants are a "tight" fit just pulling over my uniform and boots. If you wear large...and will wear this over a motorcycle jacket...I recommend one size up (extra large).

For the medium rain suit I have...thee is NO way I could comfortably wear over my motorcycle jacket. Like I said...I'm a medium sized guy and don't have big shoulders or arms...5' 7" 160lbs and a 32 waist. It's a tight fit with just my combat uniform (Army cammies and boots). If I had to buy again I would go large for myself.

Hope this helps. Aloha Ray

scott m: L would be the correct size. HOWEVER, i would not recommend this product.

the first time i used mine
1. the reflective material on one sleeve came off in a huge chunk.
2. the waist cinch is too weak, and it doesn't work.
3. the closure on the included pouch broke.

This would be a good $40 item, but certainly not worth the price that A* is charging.

Douglas S: Hi Daniel!
I wear a medium jacket A* or 52 from BMW, and I choose a size M for A* Quick Seal because I wear it over the my A* or BMW jacket. Wearing this way won't be too baggy.

A shopper asked: I have an A* Celer jacket (EU 50). Would the medium rain suit fit over the jacket or would I have to go a size up to fit over the hump? Apr 23, 2014

Ray M: I own this Alpine Stars wet-suit and I would recommend you get a large if you're going to wear it over a jacket. I'm 5' 7" and weigh 155, and wear medium shirts / jackets. I wear this rain suit over my military uniform only, and it fits "just right." I don't think that I could get it over my motorcycle jacket without it restricting my ability to move my arms. I'm not a big guy, so this is my recommendation. Apr 23, 2014

flytheedge: Use the sizing chart and take your measurements. They fit a little big so wherever you fall in, order that one. If you need to order a size bigger or size smaller, so be it. It'll cost ya $10 to send it back and they'll send ya another one. No restock fees. :) Apr 22, 2013

RevZilla: The Alpinestars Quick Seal Out Two-Piece Rain Suit comes as a set, so we can't do any mixing and matching. You might consider the Teknic Jet Stream 2-Piece Rain Suit as it comes standard with a hi-viz top and bacl bottom. Or you can purchase separate pieces all together. Aug 28, 2012
