This jacket is exactly what i expected its well made well ventilated fit well out of the box and now ive been wearling it for a few weeks its feeling like an old freind. I brought this becuase i needed a jacket that i could wear in the extremes of summer and not expire in the heat and as its full leather its bombproof i can take it to the track or im confidant going for a scratch in the hills.

I was originally looking for a good textile jacket for hot weather since I live in Florida. I stumbled across this jacket and for the price it was just a litle more than what I was looking for but for a leather jacket compared to others I have seen I thought it was a great value. It comes with great protection in the shoulders and arms. I see a lot of people talking about the back protection, but to me, I don't race so I don't see the need for more protection in the back and I feel the leather is adequate enough to protect me from road rash if i i were to fall or crash which is what I was looking for. I bought a size bigger than my measurements and the jacket fits great. Jacket is stylish and and goes well with normal street clothes. For the price and protection I am very happy with my purchase and see this poduct lasting for a long time.

I am 6'0", 175 lbs, slim build. I wear a 40L suit coat. I ordered the 42 for a little extra space and the extra arm length. It fits perfectly. The quality is all over this jacket. Everything looks and feels like Astars took their time building this.
I am on the highway for about an hour and a half total on a work day. So far this is a perfect jacket for the 65-90 degree temps I'm seeing. With a sweater under I might wear it down to mid 50s. If I was doing mostly city riding I would adjust the comfort range to 45-80 degrees.
I got it in red since the Hurt report data shows bright jacket colors significantly increase rider visibility/conspicuity to other drivers. I was worried I'd look like a construction pilon, but it looks pretty pimp.

Indy Jacket is an excellent jacket.
I live in FL and bought it for the heat here. Leather is very soft and light compared to competitors. Breathability is OK, you need to reach speed for good airflow. For a leather jacket it is excellent.
Armor is comfy and it fits snug. I am 6' 160lbs with a 39" chest and 32" waist and I wear the 50. Fits like a glove.
I definitely recommend this product. Alpinestars makes quality.

Was debating between this jacket and the GPR and was happy I chose this one. I was looking for a perforated leather jacket for the summer that could also be worn off the bike without screaming racer. The Indy jacket fit the bill with only subtle logos on shoulder and chest. The jacket provides plenty of airflow when moving at speed and didn't feel hot at all riding in 80-85 degree weather. Only complaint is have to spend more money to replace the back foam with bionic air back protector. Im a short 5'5" with normal build and the size 38 fit perfect.

I'm 6'4" my chest is 42 and my sleeve length in shirts is a 36. So in this jacket, it seems like I'd be a 52, but will the sleeves be long enough? I worry about going any larger than a 52 because of a loose fit.

@NewbieDoo.. depends on your jacket size. Im a 54 EURO and considered tall. The sleeve length is definitely accommodating. The inner-arm panels really help with the sleeve comfort as well.
