Keeps me cool!
For reference, I'm 5'10, 145lbs, super asian skinny+long torso/arms, barely a chest, and broad shoulders. I'm a shmedium in all jackets/shirts and this was no different. Size 50 fits my shoulders and arms right, but the 48 fit my body better, so I zipped up the 48 and wore it til it fit. The arms are a little short, but I wear gauntlets so it didnt really matter. I guess it came down to personal preference. I recommend trying it on somewhere first.
Someone told me it doesn't breathe enough, but I think they were standing still because at speed this jacket becomes a personal fan. Can't comment on protection since I haven't come to it, but for what it's worth, I feel safe.
Lastly, every jacket comes with the stupid foam padding, but please do yourself a favor and replace that. I stuck a medium Bionic Air insert and it feels at home.

Great jacket!!! I would highly recommend this item to everyone!
I picked up the black/white jacket, it looks great feels great and I get tons of compliments. The only advice I would give is to go 1 size bigger than the size chart. I'm 6' 195lbs and I would say about an athletic build. According to the chart im a large but i decided to chose the XL and it fits perfectly.

Perfect warm weather jacket
I have to admit, I wish I had gotten the equivalent Rev'it jacket. My friend got one, and LOVES it. But I got this, thinking I would have enough money for a solid winter jacket. (I didn't)
This thing is great above 55 degrees, but below that and it gets... chilly. To ride around in the chilly 30 degree air here near D.C. this winter, I had to layer up with windbreakers and hoodies underneath, which was a very tight fit. But I got it done. In warm weather, this thing is amazing!
I rated it's features as average, because you can't zip in any sort of insulating liner. But that's most likely because it's a very sport oriented jacket, that already fits very snug. No regrets, I love this jacket.

Love this Jacket
So I needed a good leather texas spring/fall/most of the summer jacket for long commutes. I wanted leather because of its superior abrasion protection but needed airflow that did not compromise the protection. This jacket has it. I have swapped out the back pad with a back protector, swapped the elbow armor for better more comfortable elbow armor but left the shoulder armor in place.
It flows a good amount of air will all armor in place. I have not tried the inserting chest armor so I can't speak to how that affects the air flow but I would guess it will not affect it all that much because of the perforation scheme - there are very few perforations holes where the chest armor would sit. So for an air flow idea - I was riding in jeans (levi's) and the jacket. My upper body and lower body felt the same temperature wise and air flow wise. So it feels like you are wearing a jean jacket.
I went along the lines of the chart measurements and the jacket fits very well. Not too tight and not too loose and it looks GREAT! It is a hugging fit - not tight - comfortable. Keep in mind it is leather and will break in over time.
Now let's talk about looks - this jacket looks freaking awesome on. Nice cut. I decided to get the black and white version for viability after dark. Heads definitely turn when I'm wearing it.

one word, Awesome !!
Really love this product from Alpinestars. The fit is perfect and the quality is impressive. It gives you a really safe feeling on the bike and the perforations breath well. Good for track days and for daily use.

Great looking jacket for the street rider who is safety minded
After 2 years of riding I decided that it was time to upgrade to gear that will offer a bit more protection. I'm from the Metro Atlanta area so it gets hot and humid here pretty early into the spring riding season. So I needed something that would breath well but still offer excellent abrasion and impact protection.
I ordered the size 48euro/38us and it fits fairly well, maybe a touch too long in the sleeves but still well. I'm a short guy right at 5'4" but have a 38" chest and 32" waist. Which according to A*s sizing I should be about 4" taller for it to fit the best but it's a good compromise.
The elbow and shoulder armor definitely feel substantial. They are CE rated so they should hold up well in the case of an unwanted get off. I did order the one size fits all Bionic chest guards and a Medium Bionic race back protector (the kind that snaps in below the collar) but unfortunately I don't have enough torso length for the race back protector to clear the 360 zip on my short length size 48euro GP plus leather pants. Was going to exchange for a Small Bionic race but the only difference between the Med and Sm is the waist adjustment length. Shouldn't be a problem for a taller guy but just thought I'd mention it in case a short guy like myself out there is looking at this jacket. I've returned the Bionic race for a Bionic Air insert which is still CE rated so it should be good to go.
As you can probably tell from the video review it's a good looking jacket. Not a super race cut but definitely sporty in nature with how it's pre-curved. It's not a cheap jacket by any means but the quality of the leather and the features are on par for what you're paying. I would definitely recommend this jacket!

Spring/Summer/Fall Jacket
First off, for the price, this is a jacket that you'd expect to get.
I'd recommend this if you live in warmer climates. Colder climates, not so much because you won't get as much use out of this as you'd like. The airflow is surprisingly very good. So in warm weather, very very good jacket. In colder weather (relative to California...40-50*F), you'd want to wear base layers and a sweater. If you're living in some where that snows, you shouldn't be looking at this jacket for year round use.
The jacket fits very true to size. So follow the revzilla sizing instructions and you'll be fine.
I love that you can expand and upgrade the back/chest padding. Probably not necessary for local commute riding, but perhaps will look into it for higher speed rides.
Fit and finish is superb. And the jacket is so comfortable I can easily wear it just walking around if i needed to.

Great jacket, great service!
This jacket is very well put together and appears as though it would definitely hold up in an off (God forbid). Starting with the fit; the chart for this jacket is spot on. However, if for example you have a larger than average chest for your build order the size for your build and not for your chest, as a) it will eventually break in and b) if you don't the mid-section area will be too large. I'm 5'9", 155 lbs and 38 chest; the 50 has just enough room for comfort and movement during street riding/ commuting, which is all I'll be using it for, and the armor sits in the correct positions. However, if I wanted a race suit for the track or something with a no-compromise, super-technical fit I would order a 48. this jacket looks much better than the pics can portray, and there is LOTS of perf, which is great in this year-round hot climate. The customization in terms of the fit and the options for armor etc also make this jacket a great deal of value for the money. What made me feel even better about it is that I originally ordered the wrong size and Revzilla exchanged it for me with no issue whatsoever. Three thumbs up for the service guys!
