Best bang for the buck!!! I got this jacket when it went on sale as spending more than $300 for a jacket to commute was out of my budget. I waited a week after the sale started and i am glad i pulled the trigger on time because they ran out of size 52 fast!!! It was a bit tight when it came in but it broke in pretty fast and looks cool when you're on or off your ride. The air flow is pretty good too, but I have only tried it at 90F here in Houston so its to early to tell. Overall a great purchase and great service by Revzilla!! April 12, 2015
great deal on sale I think that I literarily bought the very last jacket in size 52. I have been keeping my eye on this jacket for at least a month, but didn't pull the trigger. one day they were all gone and I keep checking back daily. when I saw one size 52 in black about a week ago I jumped all over it and bought it. was at work at the time. anyway as for the jacket itself I am very happy and feel very protected, but it is a little stiff and not the most comfortable. not bad, but not great. great looking jacket. I keep checking myself out at stoplights haha. there is no real special features and no liner in it. I love the airflow for a leather jacket and perf was the main selling point for me as I live in florida and need the airflow. it get a bit hot while stopped, but any jacket would. once moving it is sweet. I would say buy it but it is no longer available and I am very glad that someone returned (I think) the one that I got. I couldn't be happier even though $260 is a decent amount of money for me. I love it. thanks revzilla and alpinestars. April 2, 2015
Excellent jacket for the price Bought this jacket on sale. Great savings for a prime time jacket. March 30, 2015
Love this jacket! I am 5'9 and 145lbs. I used the size chart and all of my dimensions I had my girlfriend measure for me matched the size EU 48, except for the height, as I am 69" tall. The jacket fits perfectly, a bit short, but I am ordering the matching GP Plus pants and think the higher waist on those will make a perfect fit. After a few days of wearing the jacket, it is very comfortable to wear and feels very secure. All of the armor fits right in place. The neck line does push into my throat a tad standing up, but in riding position the jacket feels perfect. My only complaints are the side zipper pockets are a bit difficult to open with gloves on, and I wish it had the A* logo on the front instead of the full Alpinestars across the chest....and if all of the logos were black, too, that would be awesome. Also, I ordered the jacket with the free shipping option, and I'm pretty sure it was on my doorstep in less than 48 hours! March 13, 2015
Awesome jacket Very happy with the look and feel of the jacket but even more pleased with the revzilla customer service. Will definitely be back to buy more! March 9, 2015
Great price and full of feature I wanted to get a high end jacket but didn't want to pay 500 for one since i just got a brand new bike. So I found this jacket. Yes it may be a few season old but it still protects me the same and I think it looks great. So far i have had it out in hot and cold weather and it breaths well and will add a layer when you are chilly. The fit is a bit tight so i would go a size up. I am 6ft 185 and went with a 54. i can fit a thinner sweatshirt under it if needed March 2, 2015
question? I am not sure of its comes back CE protection...... February 24, 2015
Great Jacket Great Fit I love this jacket the size chart was spot on, It works great for hot days the perforation keeps you cool and on colder days you throw on a hoodie underneath and you don't even feel the cold. February 9, 2015

Coty B: this jacket is the most comfortable jacket i've ever worn. i've owned one before this that held up great during a fall. i will continue to buy alpine stars for life and use revzilla only! Feb 14, 2015
Quintin R: This is my second A-Star jacket and I love it. They do seem to run a size small. I saw it on sale and couldn't pass it up. Make sure you upgrade the back protector and you'll be good to go.

I've rode in 90+ degree weather in this jacket, with no problems. The air flow is great.

Jun P: I use a medium back protector(fits perfect) and the front pockets are about 7-8 inches from the deepest corner to the opening, enough to fit my hands, phone etc in. Hope this helps! Feb 2, 2014

Tim S: I also use a medium bio armor back protector for Euro Size 48 jacket (I should've read Jun P's answer before I tried and returned a small back protector ;p) Jun 14, 2014

A shopper asked: Have a 38 in. chest, but I'm 72 in tall... would the 48 work or should I go up? Have a pretty lean build. Sep 25, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Elan H: Not 100% sure. I would try and go to a local shop ad get fitted for one then buy here, thats what I did. The fit for me is tight/snug but im short and stocky. Oct 7, 2014

Chris L: I'm 5'10 230lbs and normally wear XXL shirts. This jacket in size 50 fits me nicely, so if you're lean, I'd guess a 48 would fit fine. Oct 7, 2014

Glenn S: I'm 69 in tall with 40 chest, I have a 42. It fits perfect. Conforms to my body well. The arm length covers my wrist. Oct 7, 2014

A shopper asked: Can i wear this jacket in rains ? Jun 2, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Stephan S: This jacket is made for hot summer weather. Alpine star therfore used perforated leather to increase the jackets breathability. The flipside is that it's not really designed for wet weather.

It will be ok in light showers for a couple of minutes. But anything longer will seep through the perforated leather and breathable parts of the jacket.

A shopper asked: What are the differences between this jacket and the GP-R? Sep 18, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
RevZilla: The most striking difference between the GP-Plus and the GP-R is that one is titled "Plus" and the other, "R." The other differences are a little more subtle. Other than styling, the arms on the GP-R tend to fit more snug than on the GP-Plus giving it a slightly more aggressive feel. Sep 19, 2012

Axel: I don't know all the differences, but key thing for GPR is it works really well in warm weather riding, because it has a lot of perforation in the front as well as the back. Oct 20, 2012

Harrison H asked: How much difference between this jacket and GP Pro leather jacket in summer - like hot sunny day 85F? I feel super hot when wear my GP Pro. My shirt is all wet after couple hours of street riding.

My A Start GP Pro leather jacket is in US42 EU52 and in snug fit. Should I choose same size for this jacket? 52 from the drop down list?

David A: I have the GP-R perf jacket and its much cooler while moving than full leather. The perf definitely works. I'm in Australia where its riding weather all year round. Its warm for 7 months and hot for 3 months in summer. I still use my vented textile for the summer months thou. Dec 23, 2014

Bryan G asked: I have the 50 and its pretty tight...Should i go with the 52 even though the sleeves will be a bit to long? Sep 23, 2014

Juan P: I would. Same problem I have with mine. Sep 25, 2014

A S asked: My elbow protector is sliding away from my elbow. It looks like it came loose at some point. How can I take apart the jacket and adjust the elbow protection? Jan 29, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Daniel T: The elbow pad seem to float into the pocket somewhat, mine did the same and I would just put the jacket on and push them into place moving the cushion from my wrist area back to my elbow Feb 2, 2014

A shopper asked: Hi
Im roughly 163cms tall just wondering if you guys would stock any smaller then 48?
Nov 22, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Justin N: These jackets do tend to fit a bit short when fitted correctly; remember they can be connected to suitable riding pants. So, if we're talking 48 euro size (approx 38" chest) then it won't be extremely long on someone with your height. Maybe a 46 would be a better fit, but I'm 5'9" and my 50 was still JUST long enough. However, eveyone's dimensions and proportions are different so nothing beats trying one on... Nov 25, 2013

A shopper asked: Would it fit me? I'm 6'3" and 182lbs, long arms. Sep 11, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Russell T: I'm 6'2" with long arms and weight close to 240lbs. Its a little tight in the gut for me so it should fit you much better. The length on the arms is perfect for me. Hope this helps.-russ Sep 17, 2013
