AGV K3 Helmet - Silver
Fantastic looking helmet with a nice SNUG fit.
Just opened the box and took a ride with it. Love the brand because of its awesome value from a small price. Everything feels really nice and fitted to my face, but i must say that the cheek pads are a bit over zealous. My cheeks and face feel just a bit too much cushioning for my liking. Could just be personal preference .
Overall i love the product, i love the price, and I would highly recommend it to a buddy.

Great entry level helmet for the price.
I've been using the K3 for the past six months. This was my first helmet and as I stated earlier it's a great entry level for the price.
So let's start at the top.
Bang for the buck: For the price i've found this helmet to be remarkably well equipped. It does Its job well but begins to show Its entry level stature once you get into the details.
Style: From a sport rider perspective I think this thing looks grate. I got mine in matte black and if you can be leave it was given a number of compliments on its sinister look.
Comfort: I have an intermediate oval head so fit tends to be a little more straight forward. The physical fit is good with no annoying pressure points but this helmet falls short on interior lining quality. You really start to KNOW you're wearing this especially after you've been sweating for a wile. I upgraded to a Bell RS-1 witch really contrasts how much higher quality materials (especially the ones touching your face) can make.
Protection & Durability: This helmet has a plastic shell and is of corse DOT rated so it's certainly safe. However if you're going to go off and get your self a big powerful sport bike this "entry level" helmet mite be a little to entry level. The helmet has held up quite well over the past six months. I've put over 3,000 miles on it and it still looks and feels great. I don't know if this is an issue of the plastic shell or the matte finish but it does scratch very easily. Personally I'm blaming the matte finish :-p
Air Flow: I haven't had my RS-1 long enough to do a good comparison or had enough experience to give a solid answer here. Personally I'd like a little more air flow but wile riding unless it's incredibly hot out and I'm not stuck in traffic the thought doesn't pop into my mind often.
Features: Well this baby is pretty plane jane if you ask me. From the out side the helmet looks more expensive then it is but once you have it in your hand or take it apart to clean it you can see it's just an entry level helmet. All the box's are checked but that's it.
Fit: I measured my head and came in just over the large. So I stepped down to the large and found it fit's perfectly.
Noise Level: At speed It get's pretty noisy in there. Moving my head around at speed it seems to be noisier in positions I would have expected it to be quiet.
Weight: This helmet is actually quite light. Helmets higher up in the food chain actually get a little heavier.
Shape: like I said I'm an intermediate oval so perhaps my feedback here is pretty worthless. I left the slider right in the middle.
Vision: As this is an entry level helmet chances are this is your first like me. It took a little time to get used to not having extreme peripheral vision in any helmet but when you get right down to it this helmet offers really good all around vision both laterally and vertically. My only gripe is wile in some more sporting positions on the bike I personally found vertical vision to be a little restricted but maybe that has more to do with my hight and junior riding skills then the helmet.
All in all it's been a great experience owning the K3. It's served me extremely well and in retrospect I think it's funny how when i first got it I couldn't see how you'd possibly need anymore helmet then this. Well, put 3000 miles on it and you'll be ready to move on to something with more features. I guess that's why it's an entry level but worth every penny.

I wanted a reasonably price helmet for pillions and this fits the bill completely. Great value for money, well made and a good style. If you're looking for a good mid-range helmet, you'll be happy with AVG K3.

Great with visor down
This is a great helmet. 2 caveats:
If you crack your visor slightly however the face protection directs the air directly into your eyes unless you tilt your head unnaturally far back.
Second is if you ride with your visor all the way to the top it whistles a lot.
With the above said, would recommend this helmet to anyone who wants a great helmet at a pretty solid pricepoint. It's even really light!

I payed $115 for this helmet which was a good deal. It's made in china and looks like a racing helmet so overall I'm not too stoked on it. I ride upright and don't get the ventilation I would if I were tucked. For the price I'm happy. Ordered a size up and it fits my oblong head pretty well. It has a different approach to padding over the ears, so it's pretty uncomfortable pulling it on and off my head. If I could afford it I'd buy arai, but I'm happy I went with the agv on my budget.

Great starter Helmet
This is my first helmet that i bought. I have worn a few others and have to say its not bad for the price. It does fit smaller than its sizing range offers, which made me return it for the next size up. It is quiet and comfortable for the price. Also it is quite stylish, especially with the smoke visor... almost looks like the "Wraith", a lot of compliments on the looks. Don't expect a lot of extras because it doesn't have them, not even the ear pockets for head phones or speakers. But I guess that's what makes it quieter than most other beginner helmets. I would recommend this helmet for any beginner wanting a stylish, sleek look with a quiet ride.
