AGV K3 Helmet - Silver

The K-3 is near the top end of the AGV entry level range. GP-tech lines and Valentino Rossi replica helmet graphics make this the ideal helmet for young riders and fans of the racing world. The only full-face thermoplastic model in the agv range, the K-3 is the perfect choice for riders in search of a safe, high-quality helmet with attractive design at a modest price. The K-3 design is inspired by the latest AGV developments starting from the Stealth, S-4, and Ti-Tech and continuing with the Blade/Blade LX and GP-Tech that have so clearly and distinctive defined the company’s style. This makes the helmets immediately recognizable and distinguished from all the other proposals on the market. In the same way, the differences with the helmet that the K-3 has replaced are equally evident.

Excellent For Price: Vents Have Problems The fit is good and the quality of the interior and exterior are excellent. Sizing had me as a MED but I went LG knowing AGV runs small. I kept the LG but ordered XL cheek pads for a perfect fit. The visor change is truly easy even after owning this several months and doing over 100 visor changes. It is light for it's price range and does not buffet. The vents are extremely effective for this price range..too effective. The top vents bleed a noticeable amount of air when closed, which is undesirable in the winter months. Also the chin vent is so effective that you can see daylight through it. When it rains, droplets hit the mesh screen and burst into the helmet with a shock. Having to keep it closed means visor fogging though, something this helmet is a bit worse at than the average. I added a Foggy Respro mask and problem solved. This helmet works in an upright riding position and full tuck. Naked bike (SV650) and touring (Triumph Tiger with 3 different height screens). I recommend this product but caution against it for year-round riders who do not want to wear a balaclava...the top vents and visor fogging are a serious annoyance. February 18, 2014
Couldn't be any happier! I bought my K3 helmet with so many doubts, but, my choice turned out excellent. I haven't used it much, so i can't really tell about noise and durability. In terms of looks and style: it's perfect. Very aggressive looking! I'm very happy with it. Best Regards February 9, 2014
Great Helmet I bought this helmet after having a scorpion for a while. I really like the weight and feel of this helmet I highly recommend this helmet. January 14, 2014
Good hat for the price! I've only had this out for a few short rides so far...so i can't say how it is on long runs. The fit is a bit tight in the cheek area for me, but not uncomfortable. It looks great and feels light. Ventilation is very good. The only 2 cons i can find are that the wind noise is kinda high and the chin curtain falls out easily. I glued mine in but i think a little tape where it fits into the liner might work. December 31, 2013
Fantastic looking helmet with a nice SNUG fit. Just opened the box and took a ride with it. Love the brand because of its awesome value from a small price. Everything feels really nice and fitted to my face, but i must say that the cheek pads are a bit over zealous. My cheeks and face feel just a bit too much cushioning for my liking. Could just be personal preference . Overall i love the product, i love the price, and I would highly recommend it to a buddy. August 15, 2013
Great entry level helmet for the price. I've been using the K3 for the past six months. This was my first helmet and as I stated earlier it's a great entry level for the price. So let's start at the top. Bang for the buck: For the price i've found this helmet to be remarkably well equipped. It does Its job well but begins to show Its entry level stature once you get into the details. Style: From a sport rider perspective I think this thing looks grate. I got mine in matte black and if you can be leave it was given a number of compliments on its sinister look. Comfort: I have an intermediate oval head so fit tends to be a little more straight forward. The physical fit is good with no annoying pressure points but this helmet falls short on interior lining quality. You really start to KNOW you're wearing this especially after you've been sweating for a wile. I upgraded to a Bell RS-1 witch really contrasts how much higher quality materials (especially the ones touching your face) can make. Protection & Durability: This helmet has a plastic shell and is of corse DOT rated so it's certainly safe. However if you're going to go off and get your self a big powerful sport bike this "entry level" helmet mite be a little to entry level. The helmet has held up quite well over the past six months. I've put over 3,000 miles on it and it still looks and feels great. I don't know if this is an issue of the plastic shell or the matte finish but it does scratch very easily. Personally I'm blaming the matte finish :-p Air Flow: I haven't had my RS-1 long enough to do a good comparison or had enough experience to give a solid answer here. Personally I'd like a little more air flow but wile riding unless it's incredibly hot out and I'm not stuck in traffic the thought doesn't pop into my mind often. Features: Well this baby is pretty plane jane if you ask me. From the out side the helmet looks more expensive then it is but once you have it in your hand or take it apart to clean it you can see it's just an entry level helmet. All the box's are checked but that's it. Fit: I measured my head and came in just over the large. So I stepped down to the large and found it fit's perfectly. Noise Level: At speed It get's pretty noisy in there. Moving my head around at speed it seems to be noisier in positions I would have expected it to be quiet. Weight: This helmet is actually quite light. Helmets higher up in the food chain actually get a little heavier. Shape: like I said I'm an intermediate oval so perhaps my feedback here is pretty worthless. I left the slider right in the middle. Vision: As this is an entry level helmet chances are this is your first like me. It took a little time to get used to not having extreme peripheral vision in any helmet but when you get right down to it this helmet offers really good all around vision both laterally and vertically. My only gripe is wile in some more sporting positions on the bike I personally found vertical vision to be a little restricted but maybe that has more to do with my hight and junior riding skills then the helmet. All in all it's been a great experience owning the K3. It's served me extremely well and in retrospect I think it's funny how when i first got it I couldn't see how you'd possibly need anymore helmet then this. Well, put 3000 miles on it and you'll be ready to move on to something with more features. I guess that's why it's an entry level but worth every penny. August 12, 2013
