Buy it ...you'll look awesome in this!! Coming from my AGV K3 Basic this helmet is a definite upgrade. With a 59cm head the ‘L’ sized AGV K3 Basic was very tight on my ears and even after 18 months was still folding them over—inserting spectacles is doable for me but a chore. The ‘L’ sized AGV Grid by contrast appears by my feel to have a slightly less oval shape which suits my head a little better. The ear cutouts are a welcome relief and inserting my glasses after putting my helmet on is much easier albeit the recess for these is a little high for me—maybe my ears are low ;) In 30+ celcius temps here with 90+ humidity in Townsville, Australia during summer, the AGV K3 Basic used to make a big wet sucking sound when it came off my head—good airflow was not one of its better points but it’s a budget helmet after all. Whilst I CAN'T feel the air-flow across the top of my head with the AGV Grid, the proof of its cooling is evident by the fact that the top of my head/hair is dry when removing the helmet in the same summer temps. Only the back of my head just under the occipital ridge is damp with the AGV Grid—a testament to its good cooling capabilities. With the AGV K3 Basic I spend most of the year riding with either the visor up or removed completely as my face gets too hot to have it down. The AGV Grid by example I can ride around at urban speeds with the visor down all the time due to the better air flow from the chin and brow vents--except when stuck at the lights. Occasionally there is a noticeable whistle with my AGV Grid when moving into the 3/4 tuck which I imagine is due in some part to the vent arrangement but overall the helmet is noticeably quieter than my AGV Basic—a welcome improvement. External shell size wise, it is noticeably larger compared to my equivalent sized AGV K3 Basic which I attribute mainly to the external vent ridges running along the top of the helmet. I have been whistled at twice and received many admiring looks from female backpackers on the island where I live and whilst I would like to pretend that this was due to my stunning good looks I realise now that it is more likely the Sun & Moon graphics that are the cause of admiration and attention ;) February 4, 2014
Awesome looking helmet This is a great helmet overall. I absolutely love the graphic. My other lid is an Arai Corsair V so that's what I have to compare to. The AGV is not quite as plush on the inside meaning I can feel the hard foam in some of the padding instead of softness like I'm accustomed to. It's not loud by any means but not as quiet as the Arai. The airflow is very good but here again not as good as the Arai. I guess what I'm saying is that I'd buy it again but I wish Arai made this graphic in a Corsair V. September 30, 2013
Awesome Helmet! I was nervous at first to purchase this helmet because I have never owned an AGV helmet before. This helmet has amazing air flow through the two mouth front vents, however head position while riding determines how much air flow from the two forehead vents. Very light helmet! Pictures online do not do justice for the vibrant colors. Comes with helmet bag and tear offs. Also love that you can wash the inner helmet. Highly recommend. Best helmet I've owned. July 31, 2013
Awesome technology and comfort Bought this helmet after having an Icon Mainframe for many years. The airflow on this is amazing! At high speeds: I can turn my face around to look behind me, and the helmet does not start spinning around my head. It stays right in place. The comfort is unbeatable along with the look. Overall great helmet I never got to try the AGV Grid on and counted on it being the same as the K3 models. It however, doesnt fit the same. The front is allot closer to my face then I would like it but for someone with a rounder head shape as apposed to a longer front to back, It should fit great. The Graphics are awesome, Pictures on the internet dont do justice. A high quality job for sure. The padding is all soft and comfortable and the wind flows through it nicely. Feels really stable in the wind. Comes with 3 tear strips and a nice helmet bag. Overall great helmet, a little expensive but I would recommend it. March 5, 2013
Very light and great looking helmet! I bought this helmet a few weeks ago and I love it! It's a lot lighter than my other helmet and the graphics are amazing. The helmet seems to run pretty true to size but I have a little bigger cheeks and the cheek pads that came with the large are tight. I put a heavy book on them for a few days and that helped. I would definitely recommend this helmet but if you have a little bigger face go with the next size up in cheek pads. March 4, 2013
Love the colours and design helmet is superior in design. i love the colours. and the artwork. comfortable wearing it. December 4, 2012
Almost the same class with AGV GP-Tech helmet Love everything about this helmet. I have many helmets I seem to collect them like a woman collects shoes. This has to be my favorite so far. Fits my head perfectly, colors of the sun & moon grid helmet are amazing. They definitely take pride in their work and it shows. Quality is top notch. If anyone complains about price it is because they either one do not know what its like being in a wreck and seeing what a helmet can do for you or they are those straight line guys that only have a helmet because its law. AGV has a new customer for life if they keep this type of quality up. November 9, 2012

Scott T: 04-08-14 - I just ran out to the garage and checked mine. On the liner it does say made in China. The date of manufacture is 06-20-12. I am unsure, however, if that means the liner was made in China or the entire helmet. It does make sense that the fabric portion, at least, would have been subcontracted out to China or somewhere else. However, be advised the helmet does fit snug compared to other helmets I have owned in the past. I have gotten used to it and do like the helmet. You can't beat the graphics, that's for sure. People always notice the helmet. As long as they notice me on the bike and don't hit me or cut me off, I'm happy. Apr 8, 2014

Keith M: AGV was an Italian company that was acquired by Dianese in 2007 which is an Italian company as well. I don't believe these helmets are made in China. This is a great helmet and Revzilla is a great company to do business with. Apr 8, 2014

David J asked: Does this helmet (Grid) and the AGV GP-Tech use the same shield?

Oct 16, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
John B: I don't know if the AGV GP-Tech uses the same shield as the Grid. Revzilla has the face shields for AGV GP-Tech / T-2 and the AGV Grid shields listed as separate products. I don't have an AGV GP-Tech or an AGV T-2 so I can't say for sure, but I would guess that they do not use the same shield. Oct 16, 2013
