When it was first unveiled, the Bell Qualifier DLX helmet stood out amongst a hugely advanced crowd. The DLX in the title, as you might expect, stands for "deluxe," and that is indeed what you will be getting with this lid. From the time-tested Qualifier helmet that has been a staple of the Bell lineup, this helmet takes bang-for-your-buck to the next level.

One of the most notable advancements on this helmet can be seen in the inclusion of a Transitions Adaptive Faceshield. That’s right, you get a photochromic faceshield included! That is pretty much unheard of on an entry-level helmet and is a huge value added. For those who do not know, the Transitions shield works very much the same as the prescription lenses that go by the same name and have become so popular. As the ambient lighting changes around you, so too does the level of tint in the faceshield. Thus, riders do not need to worry about swapping out Dark Smoke and Clear face shields depending on the time of day/lighting conditions — it is an all-in-one option.

The second huge feature of the Qualifier DLX from Bell is that it is built to seamlessly accommodate certain Sena Bluetooth communicators. Because of the specially-designed recess in the helmet’s outer shell, the DLX can directly clip in — no alterations or special installation required. The folks at Bell didn’t stop there, however. If you are a rider who prefers the Cardo Q3, there is an adapter that can be purchased to make for a smooth transition. It's that easy.
