A lot of jacket and features for the $. Two jackets (plus armor) in one. I've used in light to moderate rain--it kept me dry. I've used the complete jacket (outer shell jacket, inner mesh jacket and armor, and insulator lining) on cold 30 degree rides at freeway speeds for half-hour commutes...amazingly, the jacket keeps my upper body warm. Offers substantial abrasion protection. The complete jacket is fairly heavy...but during the winter, that's a good thing. The mesh alone (with armor), is much lighter and breaths well. Very pleased with this jacket.
Yes, I recommend this product.

With the outer shell on the jacket is very heavy. It's basicly 2 jackets you have on. The fit is execlent and you really don't notice all the weight. Also, it's a bit of work to zip on the outer shell. All in all, I like it a lot. Just as a mesh jacket I like it better than my A-star mesh. It has a better fit for my big shoulder over a European cut A-star.
Yes, I recommend this product.

For the price, I don't think you can beat the flexibility and options this jacket provides. It's 3 layers in one, good for almost any weather condition!
I haven't used it in pouring rain yet, but it held up no problem in a drizzle, keeping me completely dry.
Minor complaint: when using all three layers, the jacket tends to bunch up at the front of the neck, and when going at highway speeds, can be uncomfortable.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I got this jacket because of the 3 season functionality. The inner jacket is perfect for days when it's hot and humid. I'm in Indiana and it seems humidity is inescapable. Barely notice the jacket is on when I'm moving. The shoulder/elbow/back protection is excellent and really flexible with your movement. The outer shell of the jacket definitely keeps you warm on those cool mornings or nights. The only problem I had was that I ordered a medium and it was a little small. On the sizing chart it says a medium is a 44" chest size, but on the jacket itself it says it's a medium with a 42" which I can definitely feel. Overall though, I'm definitely satisfied with this jacket and would recommend it if you're in a place that has a wide range of temperatures.

I love how flexible this jacket is. It is definitely a 3 season jacket. With some thermals on, this jacket could even be stretched to a 4 season item.
It has a zipper to attach to a pair of pants, but unfortunately for me, my pants zip in the opposite direction and the zippers don't match up.
Overall, I am very happy with the jacket.

Bought it as my leather jacket was too hot for the summer. The Tour Master Jacket initially seemed heavy at first, but when taken down to the mesh for the summer it works very well, great ventilation and armor protection. The workmanship looks good and it is well made. As it is starting to wear in, I think the outer shell will work out fine for the colder weather with its liner. The system seems to be comfortable, but is taking time to get used to as it seems bulky - but other jacket systems my friends use have similar concerns. Liked it enough that I got one for my wife who knows more about clothing than I, who tore mine apart and wanted one!
Yes, I recommend this product.

I was looking at the Flex 2 in a bike shop, and the salesman said that it was a nice jacket, but that the zippers were not very good.

Since zippers are so important,, this has caused me to worry about buying the Flex 2 jacket. Are the zippers a problem?

Answer:
Hi lowflight,

I haven't had any issues with the zippers--they are molded plastic zippers (standard fair for most medium to high quality performance wear).

I'd say go for it!

Answer:
I found the zippers to be pretty good. The waterproof ones in the vents on the rain layer seem airtight. The zippers on the main jacket have nice pulls that are easy to grab with gloves on. My only zipper issue was with the ones that attach the rain layer to the main mesh layer at the cuff. Once you have them zipped the bottom end of the zipper tends to separate. The separation doesn't go very far and the attachment remains secure but it can be a small nuisance.

Answer:
I have owned a TourMaster jacket and did have to replace the main zipper after a few years. However, I can't say I'm too surprised considering the amount of abuse I put on the jacket! If you are looking for the best zipper construction - look for products that advertise YKK zippers as they are considered to be the most durable. Most REV'IT! products, for instance, use these zippers.
