best summer jacket by far the best jacket for summer riding. great waterproof liner to carry when you need it. Comes with D3O protection so no need to spend extra to upgrade. August 5, 2014
Very Good, not great Water comes in trough zippers in heavy rain, but the jacket is very good, looks new after 5000 miles of dirt, sand and rain in a cross country trip trough Australia. June 30, 2014
Great Over Jacket I bought this to go over my bionic armor - the fit is just what I wanted, style is good and the wind proofing is excellent - I have not rode in rain yet but I am sure it will also be what I expect it to be - great - I liked the jacket so much I got the paints to match. June 9, 2014
excellent product good fit, warm, dry, comfortable, very nice jacket, April 22, 2014
Won't let you down I have owned this jacket as well as the pants for almost 2 years, I have ridden in some pretty heavy downpours in this jacket, and it has never failed to keep me dry. I recently crashed on the street wearing this jacket and came away with zero road rash. The jacket also survived the crash fairly unscathed. This is not the best in hot riding conditions, but not bad. There is no doubt that this jacket is pricey, but you can rest assured it will last a very long time, and won't fail you in adverse weather conditions. Well worth the price. April 14, 2014
Not to bad I've been wearing mine for about a year now. Only complaints I have is that the button on the collar is a royal PITA to connect with gloves on and the zippers are get hung up themselves quite a bit.. but I attribute that to the water proofing so, I get it. Great jacket in all honesty. April 8, 2014
Great Product Top shelf quality, especially if your body fits their sizing. Unfortunately my arms are too short. Klim needs to do a larger sizing variety, S - XXL is just too limited. If you happen to fit their sizing then this is a winner. March 31, 2014
Excellent dualsport jacket I bought this to replace an old Roadcrafter that was no longer keeping me dry. That's one thing they don't tell you about Goretex: it dies after a while. In this case, 7 years. My size is 44L and the jacket fits perfectly when worn over a shirt. The jacket is beautifully waterproof. I've only had it 2 weeks but it's been very wet, hard rain almost every day, and riding a naked bike for a 20 mile commute. This is why it got 5 stars for value; check out the price of any Goretex Pro gear, whether motorcycle or not, and you'll see this is on the low end; yet the fit and finish of the garment are first-class. I can't speak to its warm weather performance. Fit is a bit more trim than I would like. Bought it as a shell to wear over body armor during ADV touring. In this setup there is very little room to add an insulating layer, though an electric vest will fit. Then I bought the D3O shoulder and elbow pads for commuting and casual use. They fit well - the elbow pad position is somewhat adjustable via velcro flaps. With the pads in, I can wear a thin jacket, but even a heavy sweater is too thick, it leads to binding in the arms. Style is typical Euro chic. Protection is pretty good - to make it better they would have to add stuff like ballistic nylon, which would make it heavy and bulky - not my preference. As it is, the jacket is light and comfortable enough to be reasonable rainwear even if you're not on a bike. The main thing I don't care for about it is the basic black (or in my case black and grey) configuration. A bit more color wouldn't hurt and would add to conspicuity. Klim should take a look at their competitors - there are ways to make a jacket hi-viz without making you look like a construction worker or fireman. March 10, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Raymond C: This is a great water proof jacket I ever own. I live in a hot climate country but this jacket give comfort because of the Gortex breathable material.Just this jacket alone pairing with the traverse pants is all I need whenever I embarked for long distant tour.

One thing I love doing business with Revzilla is the customer service. Once order was mistaken sent to customer in Austarlia but Rezvilla swiftly fixed it.

RevZilla: The Klim Traverse Jacket does not come with armor. As a crossover offroad/adventure style jacket, it can be worn over an armored compression suit or with armor (available separately) inserted in the provided armor pockets. Oct 1, 2012

NZDualsporter: No armour per se, there are some soft, thin foam pads in the elbows but they are trivial at best. The jacket is designed to be worn over proper motocross armour suits +/- Neck support. Dec 3, 2012

Daniel G asked: Can this jacket be fitted with Klim's D3O Armor for Elbow and Back? May 14, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Casey B: yes

IMO, I believe it is better suited for a pressure suit though.

The traverse is a great shell goretex jacket, add in the above mentioned pressure suit and you're ready to rock

If someone is looking for a jacket more for commuting, sometimes getting off the beaten track, then I would go with the overland.

Casey B: Yes. IMO though, I think it is better suited for a pressure suit. If the jacket is for more of a commuting, occasional 'off the beaten track' ride, then I would go with the overland. That's why they made the overland. Traverse is a awesome gortex shell, where you can layer up underneath as you see fit. May 14, 2014

Steve W: Yes, I use the armor from my Badlands Pro in my Traverse. If I had bought the Traverse first I would not have bought the Badlands. Back, elbow, and shoulder D30 work well. May 14, 2014

Norman R: Yes, the armor fits in just right. Went to Alaska in this jacket and it got through some fierce rainstorms and cold spells. Kept me warm and dry (with matching pants). May 14, 2014

A S asked: I am considering this jacket to wear over the leatt adventure body protector. anyone run this combo? Do I need to order up a size or is it compatible as is? I am a large normally.. Thanks! May 5, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Rob B: I'm not familiar with the body protector but the jacket is very roomy everywhere but in the forearms. It's pretty tight in the arms. I ordered an extra large after trying on a friends large and I'm 5'10" and 175lbs. Love the jacket and great quality!!! May 7, 2014

Spencer R: Its a great jacket, but fairly snug figure hugging fit by design.
I wear mine every day all year around, in summer and winter and can get a North Face Nuptse underneath for sub zero days. Mines a medium and I'm a 40" chest if that helps.

Hugo Z: I would, I ended up using armour pieces from another Klim Jacket I have rather than using an O'Neal pressure suit underneath, which made the jacket fit too tight. May 25, 2014

A S: I bought it in my size, Large. Needs to go back for one size up if worn with the Leatt body protector underneath. May 8, 2014

A shopper asked: How many D is the Goretex? Just wanting to see how well this would hold up in a slide on pavement. Jul 16, 2012

RevZilla: The Gore-Tex membrane is laminated to the outer shell throughout the entire garment. The denier of the entire jacket is 840, both for the Cordura and the rest of the jacket. Jul 18, 2012

mark h asked: I have the klim nap sack and i would like to know if the traverse jacket will easily pack into that? I ride long enduros and would like to avoid a overstuffed heavy back pack. thanks May 13, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Andrew H: Mark H, sorry man, but I can't give you an accurate answer. I don't have the nap sack so I wouldn't know. Fits in my double helmet capacity top case with ease. I lay it in flat, fold the arms and just the top collar area in. I can then layer the pants and sweat shirt as well as heavier gloves in. The weather constantly changes on my 80 mile commute so I keep hot weather gear and cold weather gear with me on my KTM supermoto. May 15, 2014
