SIDI Vertigo Boots Videos

The Vertigo was created after an arduous 2+ year development period with lofty goals in mind. The boot had to push the technology of the sport road boot segment to an even higher level than the legendary Vertebra series. They are designed to be the best, no matter the cost. The Vertigo series of boots has achieved all that and much more!

Shock Absorbing Heel Cup: Three stage, shock absorbing heel cup molded in three different densities of plastic is one element that sets the Vertigo series apart from all other sport boots. This system offers a built in shock absorbing range of 3mm. The heel cups internal area is also fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for and extra level of comfort and protection.

Lining: Each Vertigo series boot is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to “breath” out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no mold build up in the long term. Additionally the inner ankle area of all Vertigo series boots are flly lined with Sidi’s own formula of perforated closed thousand-air cell memory foam. A totally breathable lining system.

Tecno VR System: The Vertigo series of boots are the only race boots to offer a patented Tecno VR adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design. With a simple adjustment of the Tecno knob the internal onofilament line will evenly close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit. A maximum adjustment of 5cm is provided.

Replaceable Scuff Pad: Option of either a ceramic or nylon toe scuff.

Air Vent System: Both the Vertigo Corsa and Vertigo employ an air ventilation system that can be opened or closed with a touch of a button depending upon a riders needs. This Malleolus guard on the outer edge of each boot also protects the small and vulnerable foot bones.

Composite Inner Sole: The composite inner sole of Sidi boots resists side to side compression offering greater protection compared to the leather inner soles that our competitors use. The insole features a removable arch support and will never lose its dynamic characteristics, even after months of intense use; it is water resistant and is designed to withstand high footpeg pressures.

Replaceable Parts: Every bolt on component of each Vertigo boot is available separately. Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash.

Lorica reg;: Boots outer is fully constructed with Lorica a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection. Lorica is also highly resistant to abrasion – yet it still breathes – with more than three million pores per square centimeter. Easy to maintain, Lorica doesn’t stain and can’t be scratched and offers, reduced weight, more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots.

Please Note: The Vertigo boots no longer offer a replaceable shin plate.

Awesome Boots The main reason that I got these is that I have larger calfs and needed something adjustable. These fit the bill perfect. Obviously Sidi is a premier brand and their products are outstanding. These are slightly narrow but that isn't something I ever notice once on. I have worn these on multiple 10+ hour rides in all weather conditions and they perform flawless in each situation. Great to have options to accommodate my situation. January 28, 2014
Calf adjustment feature needs work The only real negative with this boot is the calf opening is excessively large. Even when fully adjusted there was way too much room for movement. Also I would have to wear calf length socks to keep my calves from rubbing on stitching. October 16, 2013
Crash Tested Low sided on the track at 80mph in a right hander, went off into a sand dune, flipped backwards, and my left arm/leg slammed into the ground. In relation to the boots I sustained a fractured fibula in my leg where the beefier top part of the boot is located. Odds are good it would have been broken with a lesser style boot. Not to say that similar style boots wouldn't have protected me the same but the right boot I slid on for the majority of the "trip" has no major issues other than being scraped up. My feet and ankles have no injuries on either leg just the left fibula ha. No parts need to be replaced on the boots they are good to go. I love the calf adjustments on the Vertigo and if the Vortice is considered the next level of boot then no thank you. Way to many adjustments and takes my buddy 10min to put the dang things on. Nice boots I'm glad I went with these boots, the look and feel great when riding ! July 22, 2013
Very nice boot, reputation is earned To start these are my first boots, so take my opinions as they are. I really like them, they look great. on the bike I don't even notice them. off the bike they could be more comfortable but then thats not what they are intended for. Only complaint is I wish they had a 46.5 I had a hard time deciding between a 46 and 47. went with the smaller but if they were a smidge longer they would be perfect but thats me not the boot. again on the bike they are very comfortable. shifting is easy and feel is great June 17, 2013
Excellent boot I upgraded to these boots a while ago, and I am not disappointed. They are excellent boots. They have never once broken or prematurely worn. I wear them under my pants, and they fit nice and discreetly. I especially love the vent on the side. When I first saw it, I though it was a gimmick, but after riding, and feeling the cooling on my feet instead of just sweating, I was a believer. I found the sizing to be true to what I would wear in a normal boot. With these being just a slightly slimmer fit. June 2, 2013
Long-term owner, disappointed with durability. I've had my Sidi Vertigos for about a year now, and just about every little thing that can go wrong has. - Zipper pulls on both sides have broken off. I've had to replace them with keyrings, and will eventually replace them with new pulls. - The vents never slid open or closed reliably. The handle part of the vent on one side has broken off. - There is a spot of unprotected leather near the big toe that is gradually getting scuffed, and the toe of the sole is coming loose as a result. - The loop patch of velcro at the top of the zipper comes a little looser every time I remove the boots. - The tightness adjustment in the calves just loosens all the way by the time I'm done riding. If little things like these bother you, steer clear. May 15, 2013
Stylish boots Great style and provide excellent support. Had an embarrassing low speed fall at 1mph and landed on right side, boots took all weight of bike and not a scratch or bruise and did not feel a thing. Great boots great protection and stylish May 6, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
F S: I have some lower end Sidi Evo Tepor boots that have held up really well and I love, but needed some higher protection boots for my style of riding, and the fact that these boots have a vent but aren't perforated is the reason I chose them over the Sidi Cobra or Cobra Air. Apr 16, 2014

A shopper asked: Question about sizing... I wear 10.5 in DCShoes, my foot is 10.5" long (almost 4" wide), I wear size 10's in most shoes except DC's, but I noticed that with the Euro sizing, there is no thing as a size 10.5, it's either 10 or 11. Which do you think is best to order? (I know the return policy is great, but somebody with 10.5 DC's might point me in the right direction!) Thanks! Feb 2, 2014

Brian F: I'm in about the same boat as you. I normally wear a size 11 DC Court Graffik but most other shoes / boots I'm a 10.5 or a 10. I ended up getting the size 10 boots and they fit great. A tiny bit tight on my left pinky toe (I guess that foot is wider haha) but I have adjusted quite easily and there isn't much give in these but I only feel that pressure when walking, but not while riding. tommy h: I was u I would probably go size 11-11.5 (46 euro) ...As I do have these in the 45 size . There are tighter then they look ..I can deal with wear them all day of riding but took a 3 or 4 times to break them in .. so go the size up to give urself some room in comfort and for thicker socks in the colder days... A shopper asked: i got some dainese leathers and my oxtar boots barely fit over leg armour-alpinestar?,dainese? or sidi? Apr 28, 2011

Endoz: Alpinestars should fit, thats what i have and SIdi's were a struggle to get over the shin guard..had to ride the bottom of the leathers up a bit to fit and even then the zipper felt like it was going to go! May 6, 2011

Chris K: In my opinion, the Dainese Torque/TRQ lineup will have the most adjustability due to the velcro and rear-entry zippers. May 3, 2011

A shopper asked: what should I use to clean my boots? Oct 14, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Maria del R O: Hi. I got my boots dirty from mud and a little oil spilling from a leak on the motor. Use a nice fabrics shampoo on a damp cloth for an all around clean, then, use Orange Glo on the hard plastics with a toothbrush, clean it all with a damp cloth and let it dry. If you see some dull colors on the hard plastics, use a little bit of Armor All, avoiding the soles, of course. Been using my boots for more than a year and still they look awesome. Cheers. james N: You can use mild soap and water. If you really want them to look good after you clean them use an automotive "interior detail spray" just keep it off the soles as it can make them slippery. Oct 14, 2013
