SIDI Crossfire TA Boots Videos

Providing the absolute best in protection, feel and support, the Sidi Crossfire remains unchallenged as the finest off road motorcycle boot available. With innovations and features like the unique dual flex system and cam-lock buckle closure, the Crossfire TA is designed to give you the most comfortable and progressive riding experience possible.

Dual Flex System: Allows for easy movement forward and backward but is extremely strong side to side giving the rider the finest in ankle protection and long lasting comfort. The hinged, dual position, stitch-free upper is constructed from injection-molded plastic. With the exclusive Dual Flex system and the four floating, independent straps the Crossfire can provide each rider with a personal fit no matter his body shape or if he uses knee braces or not.

Adjustable Calf System: Sidi’s exclusive, patented, adjustable calf system allows the rider to adjust the diameter of the Crossfire boot at the calf. This system, along with longer upper straps, allows the Crossfire boot to accommodate riders with larger calves easier than any other boot now available. The Crossfire can accommodate riders with up to a 22-inch calf diameter 14 inches above from the bottom of their heel. The inner plastic plate is made of two different materials; a rigid one to support the boot and a heat resistant one to protect the rider’s leg from exhaust heat. All components of this system are fully replaceable and are available in a wide variety of colors.

Heel Detail: Three extended ribs are featured at the back of the boot to assist the rider in making upshifts with his heel when starting a race. Rigid, shock resistant, anatomically shaped heel for maximum protection.

Non-Bootie Designs: Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome; add to the boot’s thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the rider’s performance and comfort.

Buckles: Sidi’s exclusive cam-lock buckle system is acknowledged as the finest system on the planet. It must be as most of Sidi’s competitors have attempted to copy various aspects of it. The cam-lock buckle system incorporates a strap memory retention system. Adjust the straps once and they will be at the same position for every ride after that! No more readjusting for every ride or mid-day during a ride.

Toe Areas: The tip of the toe on the Crossfire boots are covered with plastic to protect the base material and seems against abrasion from brush etc. Plastic shift and brake lever guards on the top of each foot area.

Heat Shields: Each Sidi boot is equipped with an anti-heat undressed leather protection panel at the same height of most motorcycle’s exhaust heat shields.

Composite Insole: Sidi is the only manufacture to use a composite insole that is anatomically shaped to the rider. A cushioned liner is provided that can be removed if the rider desires a more roomy fit. Sidi does not use steel shanks riveted to its insole like most manufactures, details such as this enable Sidi boots to enjoy a multi year service life versus the competitors multi month lifespan as over time, a steel shank can deteriorate, rust and fracture exposing the rider to injury.

Lorica®: Every Crossfire TA outers is fully constructed with Lorica a composite micro fiber material created from strands less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. When injected with special resins, these fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the addition of better strength, softer texture, lighter weight and better moisture protection.

Lining: Cambrelle is a lining that, due to its particular polyimide structure, guarantees a rapid drying rate after the boot gets wet or sweaty. This prevents the onset of mold forming which extends the boots lifespan dramatically. The Teflon treated mesh panels in the rear calf area of the boot allow humidity to escape while the boot is in use.

SIDI Crossfire TA Boots 4.9 5 21 21
Definitely Pleased I purchased the SIDI TA for Adventure Riding over long distances containing 80% dirt or more wanting more protection than the Adventure model would provide. The quality and workmanship is fantastic. Though a bit stiff at first, walking around the house in them for a few hours broke them in nicely. I found the fit true to size. I am a size 10 with average width. The boot fits perfectly with both summer and winter socks. The boot further allows ample adjustment from the calf to the arch of the foot. Definitely the best off road boot I have owned. The quality and ability to replace parts was definitely worth the price. March 16, 2015
Great quality After reading so many reviews of the short break-in period and comfort, I guess I expected a freer ankle movement from the start. After I removed the upper protective panels so I could get to the main leather body of the boot (a very nice feature!), I conditioned the leather with Kiwi Leather conditioner / softener and a hair blow dryer. After the conditioning and a few hours of deep knee bends and ankle extensions, and now 1 ride, I can say they flex well for gear changes and a good brake feel, but still kinda awkward to walk in (compared to normal shoes). With that said, the quality of materials and workmanship is obvious. I have as normal of a foot as you will find and the boots fit very slightly narrow but correctly in length to my usual shoe size. The narrowish fit is actually comfortable and adds to the secure feel of the boot. Pricey, so that's a hit on the bang-for-tha-buck, but other then that, I like'em and would recommend them to anyone looking at top tier quality and protection in a MX boot. February 16, 2015
Great boots. I've gone though 3 pair of mid/upper range quality MX boots in two years - particularly hard on buckles. I decided to go with a premium boot - these Sidis are excellent. Great quality and fit. The buckle design is genius. They have been through many races, rain, mud and more than a few crashes - holding up beautifully. August 19, 2014
Sidi Crossfire TA Boots - size 9.5 Great looking boot. The fit is snug. I purchased a 1/2 size larger than my shoe size and it still is a very snug fit. The foot/toe area is very narrow compared to other brands (i.e. TCX). The uppers are adjustable, but if you are stocky like me they will need to be set to max length around ankle and calf areas. The uppers is very comfortable as is the whole boot when properly adjusted. The ball of the foot (bottom) will take a little getting use to as it in a little thin and the angle is forward. The break-in period is long. I have only had the boots for 2weeks and can tell it is going to take a few more rides before these loosen up enough to feel I made a good purchase. The quality of the boot is excellent and in-line with other brands of similar price. I originally purchased the TCX 2.1 Pro boot but unfortunately, they don't come 1/2 sizes and the size 9 was too tight with the inner booty. Comparing the two the TCX has more flexible (front/back/side to side) but the upper is very uncomfortable and sharp compared to the Sidi. March 24, 2014
Awesome boots!!!!! Boots fit true to size. They look awesome and very adjustable. I have always worn AStars now I will never buy a different pair. Yes their that good get them you will be happy. March 10, 2014
Killer Offroad Boots Construction and design: impeccable. Sizing: same as other Sidis. I bought these after an accident on the street where my foot was smashed and I wanted the best protection possible, which leads me to the following note. For people thinking about using this for street riding: I wouldn't recommend it-- tried using these on my Versys, but the boot (sole) is just too big to fit under the shifter and there is simply not enough feel for the constant shifting needed for commuting. That's not a dig at the boot itself, which is really a incredible piece of kit. If I ever get into offroad, this would be my choice as I love the welted, removable sole. December 13, 2013
Excellent product, provides comfort and it feels very safe Excellent product, provides comfort and it feels very safe July 8, 2013
Unparalleled comfort, protection, style and fit i have been out of racing for several years and just recently bought a new bike and new gear to go with it. I had some old boots that needed replacing and I decided to go with the Sidi although they we pricey. All I can say is that they are worth every penny. The were pretty much broken in after walking around the house and after one ride. Sizing was perfect for my foot, 11, and I was alittle nervous since I heard that the sizes run bigger. Not on my case. After setting all the buckles it fits perfect and very comfortable. My old boots were never this comfortable even after years of riding. Just about all the parts are replaceable and well made, a great boot. June 17, 2013

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Steven Q: I am replacing Sidi moto-x boots that I have really liked but your explanatory video sealed the deal. REALLY appreciate the video reviews. Oct 18, 2015
J F: I love these boots, the fit and protection, and the low-profile foot. Unfortunately, they were too tall for my short calfs. Also, the TA buckles were not as easy to use as the Crossfire 2s that my husband has. Jan 29, 2015
Richard S: I wanted the best off-road boots for the combination of protection while riding, manipulating the brake and shifter, fit, and comfortable (on and off the bike). These boots offer great value to me even if they do carry a top-notch price. In my 2+ years of experience with them, they're definitely worth it. Dec 11, 2014
Greg P: This will be my second pair of Sidi Crossfire boots, the first lasted me 4 years. Would not wear any other brand. Nov 28, 2014
Robert P: Best boots for my riding style Oct 19, 2014
Jason E: Quality and protection Jun 6, 2014
randy s: matches friends boots, referral, big fan of SIDI products May 21, 2014
William C: for more off-road riding and looks like good protection. I ride a BMW r1200gs, this bike is over 520 lbs. the added protection should be great. May 4, 2014
Tom T: save my feet and ankles from injury Apr 9, 2014
James S: Safety, durability, flexibility, low profile. Mar 18, 2014
Paul T asked: How large is the Toe Box on the TA model? It looks lower than the Adventure Gore-Tex which fits me perfectly. I am wondering if my 9 1/2 E (US) foot will fit in the Size 43 with room for my toes. I have a pair of SIDI Apex boots (SZ 43) which did a number on my left big toe nail... Dec 8, 2013

Adam S: I have both and I do believe that the toe box is smaller and much lower profile on the TA. Whereas there is quite a bit of room to wiggle the toes on the adventures and they feel more like commando boots. They are comfortable and look really good. That said I prefer the performance of the TAs and will use them whenever I will be pushing the bike hard such as off-roading. The toe box profile really allows you to get your toe under the gear lever quickly and they just perform better for that application. They take longer to break in than the adventures though and I would say are not quite as comfortable for long touring. I also had to get one size larger for the TA's than I have for the adventures. A s: I am on my third pair of SR's. If it's the correct length but just a little tight in the toe box, go to your local shoe repair shop and buy a boot spreader. they're about $50.00. If you can find an adjustable spreader even better. I like to spray the outside of the boot with lexol and keep it warm. Leave the spreader in place for a few days and you will have more room. Continue the process if needed. I had a problem with the sole of the TA being wider than the SR and it felt clumsy so I sold my TA's and bought another pair of SR's Dec 9, 2013

Richard S: I have the Crossfire TA in size 49 and the Adventure Gore-Tex in size 48 to fit my feet. I typically wear size 13 footwear. I don't believe there's a noticeable difference between the height of the toe boxes of the boots, however the plastic cap on the toe of the TA's does appear to taper downward. The toe box width of my Adventure Gore-Tex boots is tapered more than the TA's, which I can feel. Again I found I needed a size 49 in one and 48 in the other fit my feet properly. Jan 3, 2014

Ryan H: I don't believe the Toe Box is lower, although the picture makes it look so. I have a size 9 1/2 foot and have no problems with fit (SZ 43), even wearing thick socks. Dec 9, 2013

A shopper asked: Are the Sidi Crossfires waterproof? Aug 22, 2012
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Sol27: No. They perform fine for me in the rain but there is nothing particularly waterproof about them. You won't ride around with wet feet; you'll probably stay dryer than with shorter, less plated boots, but they aren't meant to be waterproof. May 28, 2013
Reply to Sol27 Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
MamaBear: Decently so, yes. I do not believe they are not made to be waterproof, but I have not heard of anyone having a problem with water during mud races and things. May 3, 2013

RevZilla: No, the Sidi Crossfire Boots are not waterproof. Aug 23, 2012

A shopper asked: I have an older pair of Sidi Adventure in size 46, which are too big. I want a boot with more protection. Should I order the TA in a size 45 or 46 as it seems they are a tighter fit than the adventure? Apr 18, 2014

Alejandro L: Don't know how the Adventure fits but the Crossfire run like one size down. Apr 25, 2014
