This helmet met or exceeded all my expectations. You have the best of both worlds. I highly recommend this product. I would purchase another one in a heartbeat.

Extra face shields are a little pricey

Good service and products = happy customer

Fit is typical Shark fit.

By Tom C From Kunkletown, PA on August 10, 2009

I have a Shoei (Have X-11 Large and fit a large RF1000) head. After following the reviews at Webbikeworld I bought this helmet thinking it would fit. I tried it on and it is definately not a fit for my head. I bought the large. The length is slightly longer front to back then my Shoei, the sides fit a little looser than the Shoei and the forehead area is pinched tight. Maybe the medium would have fit better? But then my head would not have gone in as deep. This fits similar to the Shark RSR2 but is slightly larger all around. The Large RSR2 fit tighter front to back and side to side but again has a pinched forehead.
The idea was well executed. I had no trouble getting the chin bar to slide up and out of the way. You open the shield, push the button and pull forward then lift up. It rotates back and locks in place. It is a little tricky getting to the button when it is behind your head but when you do it rotates forward very well. To lock it in place you have to push back on the chinbar after you rotate down. The graphics are outstanding. The quality seems good, the inner shield does not come down far enough so it is in my line of view. Questions for Shark go to some guy in France and he didn't answer my emails.

Fit across forehead

By Thomas B. on June 22, 2009
Sizing:
Fits 1 size smaller
Pros:
Fashionable and Great Value
Cons:
Scuffs Easily and Cramped
Comments:

Looks good, works well,but.... I measured my head, checked the sizing chart and ordered a Large. It is comfortable everywhere except for pressure points across the forehead. After about a half hour of wear the headaches are so bad I have to pull over and take it off.Is there anything I can do to make this helmet comfortable? Right now it is unwearable.

nice helmet

By Lorine H. From SEATTLE, WA on June 22, 2009
Sizing:
Fits true to size
Pros:
Comfortable
Cons:
Scuffs Easily
Comments:

Seems a bit heavy, I guess it would have to be with all the moving parts, but once on your head you cannot tell the difference. Had a time figuring out how the chin bar locks in place, until I took it off and realized you have to push to lock (with clear visor up) and pull to unlock. Like the variable positions of the face shield.

Shark Attack

By G. Reinke From Seattle, WA on June 04, 2009
Sizing:
Fits 1 size larger
Pros:
Fashionable, Comfortable, and Great Value
Cons:
Comments:

I agree with the comments from Dan (?) in Leavenworth. The sizing is Euro I believe so therefore it is one size larger than what is shown (XL=XXL). It is also tight on the cheeks when clamped shut. I kind of like that. The plastic shield seems to be much clearer than other helmets I have (Nolan, Aria, Scropian) and really does stay fog free much better than most. I like the direct cooling vents, the ability to move to diff positions (up in the city and down on the road). Plus the sun visor on the inside is genius. And it doesn't interfere with your panel display. A very big plus. The D-Ring is easier to attach to the bike for hanging...don't think weight means anything there. All in all, a good helmet...pricey but good. I have yet to see how it works on a long ride. I did 400 miles last Sat over the North Cascades and then 500 miles to Oregon on the very next day. Didn't wear my Shark because I haven't installed the com set yet. So that kind of riding will tell if the fit is good for long distances. Anyone install com on this yet? How do you take it apart to install the ear speakers? Contact me at ranks53@hotmail.com

Nice Helmet

By Fred From , CA on May 26, 2009
Sizing:
Fits 1 size larger
Pros:
nice features, Fashionable, and Comfortable
Cons:
Comments:

Fit is o.k. I wear a 7 3/8 hat size and that was the upper limit of the Large size according to the sizing chart. But the helmet feels a bit big, not floppy but not nice and snug either.

Shark Evoline Absolute Helmet

Sizing:
Fits true to size
Pros:
Fashionable and Comfortable
Cons:
Comments:

I have 3 other Helmets. An Icon Full Face,a Nolan Flip up and a shorty. This Absolute is the most comfortable of the three. I never thought a helmet could be this comfortable especially buying without trying it on first.
You can ride with the wind in your face or put down the visor for a little more protection on if it rains you can convert it to a full face in a minuet .

Revzilla - all those who surf for the best dealwill agree that Revzilla are amonst the very best out there on the internet. Well designed website, the most competitive of prices and very fast delivery. 5 star!
Evoline - this helmet is large, at least in comparison to my existing Shoei Multitec 2006 (not the latest model). That said althoug it feels heavy in the hand (heavier than the Shoei albeit I haven't weighed them both) it does strangely feel lighter on the head. Visually it is awesome - although the high gloss does show fingerprints etc upon close scrutiny. I have a 22 3/4 inch size round shaped head and the medium sized helmet is a good fit although the cheek fitment is a tadge tighter than I would like in a perfect world. Compared to my Shoei it is very comfortable although I agree with others who have reported that the ear cavities are just a little too small. The general impression is of a well made helmet with high quality parts. Persnally, I dont like D rings but I suspect they are the most durable and reliable fastening device - and probably save weight. The visor really only operates in an open and close mode and has a slightly clunky feel to its operation. That said the seal with the helmet is far superior to that of the Shoei - which reduces noise. Visibility is first class. The release mechanism is simple and works. And for whatever reason it appears less prone to fogging up to that which I experience on the Shoei. I like the sun visor. Operation is simple even in gloves. That said the sun visor could be a little larger - there is a considerable gap between the bottom of the sun visor and the bottom of my nose. To be fair this is more a question of 'look' than its operation as a sun visor. The gap that exists would only come in to play where I lying on my back. The clear visor does need to be moved up on the helmet to allow the chin bar to operate properly. I have found that unless it is in the 'up' position it is impossible to get the chin guard to lock in to position correctly. Eleveating the chin guard is simple and easy in gloves. Re-engaging the chin guard is a knack. It pullls dowm and will click in to position but to make it engage fully is does require a scond subsequent pressure to push it in towards the face. No real problem - it is just different. In 'closed face' mode the helmet (despite its size) is far quieter than my old Shoei. At speed the aerodynamic shapeworks well. With my Shoei I have always been conscious of varying drag when I move my head at speed - this is greatly reduced with the Evoline. As summer approaches I am convinced that the open face utility will pay dividends when cruising. Summer has yet to arrive and consequently I can not really comment on the ventilation system. In the high 70s the helmet ventilation has proven effective - that's all I can say at this stage.
Great looking, good price, well made, versitile and somewhat unique. And the price, for a helmet of this quality, aint bad. What's not to like - other than finger prints on the high gloss finish? If your head fits then you can't go wrong! Thanks to Revzilla for their customary great service - and i get a $15 voucher against my next purchase.

Very Nice Helmet

By Ranauld R. From Pleasant View, UT on April 27, 2009
Sizing:
Fits true to size
Pros:
Fashionable and Comfortable
Cons:
Comments:

I only have about 500 miles on this helmet but so far it has met my expectations. It is fairly quiet for a modular helmet and all of the bits and pieces work very well. It is a bit on the heavy side but I really don't notice the weight because the helmet is so stable (little or no buffeting) at speed.

The fit and finish are very nice. It is a keeper. I'm sure I would have given it 5 stars if I had more miles on it.
