Some time on

Fits true to size
Pros:
Comfortable, Great Value, and Fashionable
Cons:

I commented on this helmet when I purchased it. Six months on and experience of different seasons I have some additional observations to make. First and foremost I remain convinced that the helmet is good value for money! That said, two minor criticsms. Having worn the helmet in the Kansas cold (and it has been one helluva winter) I have noticed a considerable amount of cold air circulation - even with the two vents closed. I haven't quite worked out why this is. It is either due to a faulty visor connection or air coming up from under my chin. The former I suspect. It is quite noticeable compared to my Shoei. Second, the visor flip back motion has scuffed the high gloss surface of the helmet. That said, I really appreciated the helmet in the summer heat. On balance, I still recommend the helmet but would move it down from 5 to 4 stars.

One of a kind mobile chin-bar makes riding around town more enjoyable - especially in the summer!

By Dinna F. on November 23, 2009
Sizing:
Fits 1 size larger
Pros:
Great Value, Comfortable, Fashionable, and Rugged
Cons:
heavy weight
Comments:

I wear an XL for Shoei. But this one in L fits me right and better than shoei since instead of a round head, mine is more oval. I have full cheeks and the pads are not too thick so I am very comfortable in it.

The Evoline is the ONLY helmet in its weight and price range that has the tug-away chin-bar. 2 months after my purchase, I'm still very happy with it. Almost every time I do street riding, I'd wear it. Lots of times while riding at lower speed in city roads, I'd have the chin-bar up and shield down exactly like in the first photo. I can't imagine wearing the competitors' whose shield and chin as one piece must flip up on the forehead at once, which may obstruct sight and cause weight imbalance.

With a few time practice using one hand to flip up or lock back down the chin-bar (shield up, chin-bar down, a quick smack on the chin, you hear a "click", it clocks in!) I feel at ease with this helmet. Not to mention the convenience of retractable tinted eye shield that makes the ride on redwood-covered mountain roads in the out of sun light much more enjoyable.

My boyfriend's got the matt one. I prefer the shiny finish of this, the tribal theme is simply beautiful!

Right, the weight is significantly heavy, but for street riding, touring the country, and summer days, you would want to leave your carbon full-face home.
I've never taken it to the race track, nor do I ever plan to - buy a Bell carbon full-face for the track, which has a comparable fit. Also, due to the lack of chin-guard and mouth guard, unlike a full-face, you'll have wind pour in loud and cold. Not recommended for cooler days.

This helmet met or exceeded all my expectations. You have the best of both worlds. I highly recommend this product. I would purchase another one in a heartbeat.

Extra face shields are a little pricey

Good service and products = happy customer

Fit is typical Shark fit.

Comments:

I have a Shoei (Have X-11 Large and fit a large RF1000) head. After following the reviews at Webbikeworld I bought this helmet thinking it would fit. I tried it on and it is definately not a fit for my head. I bought the large. The length is slightly longer front to back then my Shoei, the sides fit a little looser than the Shoei and the forehead area is pinched tight. Maybe the medium would have fit better? But then my head would not have gone in as deep. This fits similar to the Shark RSR2 but is slightly larger all around. The Large RSR2 fit tighter front to back and side to side but again has a pinched forehead.
The idea was well executed. I had no trouble getting the chin bar to slide up and out of the way. You open the shield, push the button and pull forward then lift up. It rotates back and locks in place. It is a little tricky getting to the button when it is behind your head but when you do it rotates forward very well. To lock it in place you have to push back on the chinbar after you rotate down. The graphics are outstanding. The quality seems good, the inner shield does not come down far enough so it is in my line of view. Questions for Shark go to some guy in France and he didn't answer my emails.

Sizing:
Fits 1 size smaller
Pros:
Fashionable and Great Value
Cons:
Scuffs Easily and Cramped
Comments:

Looks good, works well,but.... I measured my head, checked the sizing chart and ordered a Large. It is comfortable everywhere except for pressure points across the forehead. After about a half hour of wear the headaches are so bad I have to pull over and take it off.Is there anything I can do to make this helmet comfortable? Right now it is unwearable.

nice helmet

By Lorine H. From SEATTLE, WA on June 22, 2009
Sizing:
Fits true to size
Pros:
Comfortable
Cons:
Scuffs Easily
Comments:

Seems a bit heavy, I guess it would have to be with all the moving parts, but once on your head you cannot tell the difference. Had a time figuring out how the chin bar locks in place, until I took it off and realized you have to push to lock (with clear visor up) and pull to unlock. Like the variable positions of the face shield.
