The blue tooth comes through and goes out clear. People cannot tell your riding a motorcycle. All in all a great product.

Fits my needs

I bought this headset for two reasons. A- as a bluetooth device to connect with my iPhone and 2- for the MP3 capability. Both have exceeded my expectations. It was quick and simple to pair with my iPhone. I haven't had any issues with being able to place or receive calls and the quality of the audio is perfect. The same goes for the MP3 aspects. I'm able to use the voice commands of my iPhone to navigate through my audio collection. Audio is just right. i wasn't expecting to get stellar (big bass) audio coming from such tiny speakers. The sound they produce is pleasing enough for me. FM reception in my area is iffy though. Not sure if that is the unit or the area but really doesn't matter to me as I prefer to listen to my iPhone.

i wear a full face helmet as well as earplugs when I ride. No issues with noise when I talk on the phone. People are actually surprised to learn I'm talking to them while riding. There are no issues with volume coming through the headset. I can enjoy my conversation or listen to my MP3s and still be fully aware of the sounds around me.

I haven't had the chance to try the bike-to-bike or passenger communication though. Same goes for connecting to other bluetooth gear.

I'm very satisfied with the unit and I would recommend this to others.

It's been Good

Fit my purpose nicely, to talk with my wife when she's a passenger; to share separate units with a friend when riding in pairs. (Not practical between three bikes if that is common for you.)
The bluetooth/phone capability was a nice plus. Easy to answer. People say voice quality is fine when I'm on unit. It was easy to hear conversation with my LG phone at 60-70 mph, but my iPhone has been frustrating to use becausee the volume isn't audible for some reason. Phone or Cardo?
I've been pretty happy wih it up to the low volume iswue. Working that issue now.

me informed of what is happening behind. Now we are planing to purcahse another set for the person in between when we have guest to keep every thing in order.

good product, FM radio lacking

Pros:

Works great with my Motorola Q, no one can tell I'm on my bike when taking a call. I wish the FM radio had a better antenna as I can't pick up a FM station reliably. I've switched to using my XM radio with the Q2 via the headphone jack.

Works very well. I have loud pipes but the bike can't be heard at all over the phone. Good sound for voice but I wish the radio was stereo. I don't use the radio much anyway. Stations are difficult to find. I need to purchase another for the wife....sometime.

Great product! I paired it with my Zumo and am able to listen to mp3s while riding in addition to spoken directions. How did I live without this for so long?!

I have seen people complain that the volume of played music is too low. My advice -
1. Install the speakers as close to your ears as possible. This will require quite a bit of trial and error - it took me almost 30 minutes to get this right.

2. If pairing with a Zumo, boost the volume to about 80% in the volume settings of the GPS. The default is only 10%.

3. Wear foam earplugs while riding to block out wind noise so that you can hear the music.

Scala Q2

went on 1200 mile ride the week two of us got the Scala Q2s. works great and well worth the money. holds charge for a 10 hour day on the road. FM radio is worthless. bike-to-bike and telephone work great. sometimes takes several times to reestablish contact with another Scala upon powering up, even after successful pairing previously. all in all, works as advertised.

Pros:
Great Value
Cons:
comfort

easy to set up and install. Still trying to find the best location for the headphones in my helmet that is comfortable. Needed to download updated Garmin Zumo 550 firmware to get it to work properly and reliably. Does not always "sync" up with the Garmin when powered on. Paired easily with two other riders/Scala headsets. Am concerned about battery life and inability to replace the battery on the unit.

Nice, useful product

Flimsy

I had initially bought the BTS-300, which is more expensive. I returned it after finding out that it took it 2 seconds to go from standby to talk mode. When hooked up to my TomTom Rider I would essentially miss most of the directions. The Scala comes on practically instantaneously and is easily paired. I got the (for one headset, the pair comes with it) optional clip which accept a MP3 wired input. I paired my bluetooth phone with the TomTom which in turn relays it to the Scala. This works great. The Scala's speaker are small enough to fit into my standard helmet (no speaker cups necessary). I have not yet tested rider to rider but the specs are better than the BTS-300. The Scala would not pair with my Insignia MP3 player in bluetooth mode as it uses the new A2DP protocol. The wired connection is ok for me as it is controlled by the sound hierachy, i.e. directions from the GPS will turn the music off, phone and TomTom are prioritized as well. I always have a tiny bit of a problem of exactly positioning the right speaker directly over my ear. I couldn't use the velcro on that side as it got stuck in my hair once (I have long hair) and it was a pain to pick it out of it. The speakers are left inside the helmet and are easily installed. The charge lasts a long time due to the fancy battery technology. Even with the music cranked up I have yet to have it run out on me. Charge time is very reasonable. M primary reason to get the Scala was the combination of TomTom and Scala Aand that works very well.
