Brian B: I needed a decent pair of boots and really like the ability to fit them to my feet with the laces and then have the convenience of zip on and off when needed. It makes it very easy to put my dress shoes on before going into the office after my morning commute.Oct 18, 2013
A shopper asked:Someone commented that they didn't like the steel toe fit on these boots. I don't see steel toe in the description. I would like to make sure these are not steel toe boots. Can some one please confirm steel toe or not?Jan 14, 2015
Brian B:These are not steel toe boots. I am not sure what fit they are referring to. Certainly the boots have a wide, roomy fit. This is one of the reasons I like them as a 3 season boot. The side panels let air in to cool in warm weather making them too cool for under 40 degree weather. Jan 14, 2015
A shopper asked:How much smaller should I order? The size chart on RevZilla doesn't have a section for RiverRoad boots. Some of the reviews on other sites said they ran large, so instead of my normal 8.5 I ordered an 8. There is probably an extra inch in the toe and the boots seem huge. Should I go down to 7.5 or all the way to 7? How was everyone else's fit compared to their normal shoe size?May 9, 2014
Jason H:All of my other shoes are a 9.5, but I had to exchange these for a 9. My left foot felt good in the 9.5, but the right seemed like it had an extra full inch, and could lift the heel of my right foot. In a 9 the right boot still has a little extra room in the toes, but the heel didn't lift when new. I had a retie them a few times as they broke in to keep the heel anchored, but now they're good.May 14, 2014
