River Road Firestone Gloves
Decent leather gloves.
Some have complained about the plastic finger joint protections biting in but I haven't had a problem with that. I haven't used them in very cold weather, but they appear to give good protection against the wind. The cut on the thumb is a little long for me, which leaves extra leather at the end and makes operating controls a little more clumsy at the beginning. I have accidentally hit the horn more than once. The wrist velcro doesn't really seal the glove against my naked wrists and probably needs some sort of sleeve to tie around, but my jacket has ties of it's own that don't allow it to fit inside the base of the glove since the glove's style is short cut.

I purchased these gloves a few weeks ago and have since put 500 miles on them. I really hated them at first and now I only dislike them after having broken them in a bit. Physically the gloves look good, they are made of black leather, have hard plastic armor to protect your fingers in case of a crash and have a thick pad on the palms to reduce the amount of vibrations felt through the hands.
My main gripe with these gloves is the armor. Within the gloves are hard pieces of plastic that line the fingers and knuckles; while this may seem like a good idea for protection, it makes the gloves so uncomfortable that I never actually want to use them. The hard plastic pieces always end up at the knuckles of my fingers and because they are hard and not pliable this brings about a large amount of pain when I grasp the handlebars. These stupid things either stab my hands or cause very uncomfortable pressure points that hurt significantly. As a result these gloves are terrible and I strongly discourage anyone from buying them. After 500 miles of riding they feel a little better but not great; they are still uncomfortable. I can’t afford another pairs of gloves right now so I’m going to deal with it but save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BUY THESE.

First Set of Gloves - Comfortable, but the velcro isn't great
Bought this as my first set of gloves, and they fit a little tight when I got them. They've since broken in very well and are very comfortable now. My only real complaint is that the velcro feels like it has no grip after only a few weeks of weekend riding, it just peels right off.
I lowsided with them late this summer, and they stood up very well, saved me from some scrapped up knuckles, the armor is well worth it. Never noticed my hands get hot or sweaty, and the gel helps with the vibration. The only hole worn in them was where I was wearing a rather massive class ring underneath. 7/10, would recommend for a new rider, but don't expect years and years out of them.

Padding on palms
I did not like the padding on the palms. It was counterproductive.

Quality product for the price
These gloves are great summer gloves given the price point. The air flow isn't the best for temperatures above 70-75F, but they are light and protective.
They do need a couple hours worth of time to break in, as they are leather. During the break in period, the armor on the knuckles dig in a bit, but that goes away.
Very comfortable after breaking them in. Very glad I purchased these as my nice weather summer gloves.

Not too heavy, enough air flow but three season and good knuckle protection

Any excellent, semi-retro glove with solid protection
I'm very impressed with the gloves. They fit well and are quite comfortable for a full leather with armor. I was expecting them to be more stiff and a bit bulkier but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are soft, supple, and pretty minimal in size considering their protection.
They do not at all inhibit my use of the controls on the bike.. It feels very natural as if I had on my shooting gloves. Freedom of movement is excellent.
I like the simple clean look. They go great with the rest of the somewhat retro gear I bought from Rev.

very stylish and comfortable
I love these gloves. They are very stylish and look great on just about any bike you want to ride. They are very comfortable and the reinforced knuckles are great. The one complaint I have is that there are small reinforcements down on the fingers that like to shift around. But overall an excellent product
