Great suit, but had to trade for a smaller size

By Dave B. on July 17, 2010
Sizing:
Fits 1 size larger
Pros:
Comfortable, Fashionable, and Rugged
Cons:
Comments:

I'm tall and skinny: 6'2", 155lbs. My size-50 (Euro) Dainese W-frames fit me perfectly, so I guess I'm a size 50. :) Based on the size chart, I had ordered a Large Tall, but it turned out to be waay too tall for me. The arms/legs were pretty good, but the torso was way too tall; the crotch hung down to the middle of my thighs. I exchanged it for a Medium Tall, and it fit perfectly. (Pro tip: when shipping back, don't tell UPS how much it cost; they charged me an extra $50 shipping insurance) But now that it fits, I love it!

Best textile suit hands down

Okay I am on my second suit. For some reason the back pad pocket started delaminating on my first suit. called Rev'it and had a new one in about a week. Great customer service. They stood behind their product. Yes, the pockets are small, and I think the ventilation is lacking but thats because its waterproff. I have worn this suit in some downpours and I am always dry. The suit can also feel a bit rough on exposed skin especially when the suit is cold. Look if your looking into a textile riding suit and you want the best... this is it. There are no substitutes.

Good suit

The Infinity suit is very well made and appears as through it will last many years. I especially like the T-zip pulls, but wish Rev’It had used smaller T-zip pulls on the vent zippers. I have two quibbles with the Infinity suit. First, the pant inseam length is a couple of inches too short. The problem this presents is the legs to my Levis stick-out from the bottom of the Infinity suit which will allow water to wick up my legs. I remedy this by tucking my Levis into my motorcycle boots. Unfortunately, if I had ordered a tall suit, Rev’It would have assumed that my arms are also long. Rev’It should simply recognize that motorcycle pants need to be a couple of inches longer than Levis because of the riding position. Second, I found the neck to be somewhat uncomfortable. If I unbutton the top snap, the industrial strength zipper rubs my neck. If I leave the top snap buttoned, I feel like I'm wearing a neck tie. Neither quibble is a deal killer. I really like Infinity suit and feel safer wearing it. I highly recommend the Rev’It Infinity suit.

Dry as a bone!

This one piece suit is a little intimidating, but once you get it on and feel the fit, you will love it. This is so easy to get on and off. At a riders school the other day, everybody was trying to get their rain gear on and I was done waiting for the class to start. Everybody was OOing and AHing. But the best thing about this suit is that I was dry as a bone even in a driving rain storm. Great buy!

How to Clean Your Infinity Suit (or at least how I did it...)

By Bill on March 22, 2010

Fits true to size
Pros:

In a prior post on this page, I said that I was a little disappointed with the fact that my I-suit (in light gray) was not as dirt-resistant as the marketing from Rev-It had me thinking when I bought it. With good riding weather approaching, I decided it was time to try my hand at cleaning my (somewhat) dirty suit after nine months of use.

To say that I lack laundry skills is an understatement; my wife won't let me near a washing machine with any of HER clothes in my hand. Undaunted (and also unaided, since my wife knew that the suit was hand-wash-only), I removed the armor, checked the pockets and dunked the suit in the bathtub with about 2 inches of cold water and some cold-water delicate detergent (think Woolite, but I used generic). I let the suit soak for 30 minutes or so, and then went over it carefully with a soft-bristle brush, working only those spots with persistent dirt or grime. Rinsed it a couple of times in clean water, and hung it to dry. Took about a day to dry completely, but wow did it get clean! Looks like I just took it out of the box.

A tip: hang the suit upside down to dry; this will allow the waterproof pockets to fully drain. Take special care to clear the back-protector pocket of water, because it will retain some, upside-down or not. The armor pockets in the arms were the last to dry; you may want to turn the sleeves inside-out to help that along.

Simply the best all-weather 1-piece textile suit

Love this suit, great purchase! Bought in Spring 2009. This is the ideal garment for daily commute. Wore it daily to go to work (approx. 6,000 miles or 10,000 km) and doesn't show much wear. Very easy and fast to put on, take off. Almost completely waterproof: after 1/2 hour under heavy rain, completely dry except for left elbow and front pocket areas. I guess this can be fixed by spraying a bit of Silicone Water Guard inside of suit in problem areas. Very light and thin yet extremely comfortable from 50° to 80° F (10° to 27° C) wearing only a business shirt. For colder weather down to 20 ° F, still comfortable with the addition of heated vest only. I am 5' 10.5", 180 lbs and normally wear Large size. The Large Tall size fits me great (initially ordered Large Regular but that was way too short). Maybe expensive but well worth it!

Great product, worth the money.

I bought the Infinity suit after trying on some other lower priced options (two piece gear). I wanted something versatile enough to work on a longer trip with a variety of weather. After about 7000 miles in this suit, I can say it is everyone I could have wanted. It's rain proof, warm without being bulky, allows sufficient venting for my climate (MI), and it looks good to top it all off. I have been amazed at how well the suit worked in cold weather, without the need to put on tons of layers underneath.

If I had to post one con, the zippers, while waterproof, can tear whatever gets caught in them (skin, shirts, ...).

I survived a major accident in this suit!

Last Saturday I was out on my BMW F800GS with this suit on traveling 60MPH and hit a deer. I survived; my bike and the deer did not. There are many 'skid' marks on the suit, a few 'holes' and abrasion marks... but of course EMT cut the suit off of me, so I'll have to buy another... BUT, I am simply amazed and so, so, so grateful I was wearing it.

REV'IT Infinity Suit

Sizing:

Pros:
Comfortable, Fashionable, and Good Fit
Cons:
Comments:

Bought while visiting the store, perfect fit for my 6' tall, 33" inseam, 155lb frame. I have a variation on large. Nice to see a wide variation within a range of sizes i.e. large short, large long, etc.

Can't fault the build quality or materials. Has worked well from 40s to 80s F so far. The suit does breath well, so even though it doesn't seam to have much venting, it stays dry.

Ends of sleeves are bulky, work very well over gloves. I have always worn my gloves over the jacket through lack of choice, this method should be perfect for my heated gloves. If
you can afford it you certainly get a well designed, high quality product.

If you can afford this suit, buy it! It is made with the best materials. The protection built into the suit includes back, knee and elbow high quality protection. The reflective stripes are an extra safety bonus that is very much worth the money

REV'IT! Infinity Textile Suit Videos

RevZillaTV

REV'IT! Jackets are European (slim) cut and generally more narrow in the shoulders than other brands. Please take this into account when choosing the appropriate size. Most riders with any body type other than "slim" would need to order one size larger than they typically might wear in other brands, if you are in between sizes, we recommend erring on the larger side. If you have any questions about REV'IT! sizing please call 877-792-9455 for help.
