Simply the best all-weather 1-piece textile suit

Love this suit, great purchase! Bought in Spring 2009. This is the ideal garment for daily commute. Wore it daily to go to work (approx. 6,000 miles or 10,000 km) and doesn't show much wear. Very easy and fast to put on, take off. Almost completely waterproof: after 1/2 hour under heavy rain, completely dry except for left elbow and front pocket areas. I guess this can be fixed by spraying a bit of Silicone Water Guard inside of suit in problem areas. Very light and thin yet extremely comfortable from 50° to 80° F (10° to 27° C) wearing only a business shirt. For colder weather down to 20 ° F, still comfortable with the addition of heated vest only. I am 5' 10.5", 180 lbs and normally wear Large size. The Large Tall size fits me great (initially ordered Large Regular but that was way too short). Maybe expensive but well worth it!

Great product, worth the money.

I bought the Infinity suit after trying on some other lower priced options (two piece gear). I wanted something versatile enough to work on a longer trip with a variety of weather. After about 7000 miles in this suit, I can say it is everyone I could have wanted. It's rain proof, warm without being bulky, allows sufficient venting for my climate (MI), and it looks good to top it all off. I have been amazed at how well the suit worked in cold weather, without the need to put on tons of layers underneath.

If I had to post one con, the zippers, while waterproof, can tear whatever gets caught in them (skin, shirts, ...).

I survived a major accident in this suit!

Last Saturday I was out on my BMW F800GS with this suit on traveling 60MPH and hit a deer. I survived; my bike and the deer did not. There are many 'skid' marks on the suit, a few 'holes' and abrasion marks... but of course EMT cut the suit off of me, so I'll have to buy another... BUT, I am simply amazed and so, so, so grateful I was wearing it.

REV'IT Infinity Suit

Bought while visiting the store, perfect fit for my 6' tall, 33" inseam, 155lb frame. I have a variation on large. Nice to see a wide variation within a range of sizes i.e. large short, large long, etc.

Can't fault the build quality or materials. Has worked well from 40s to 80s F so far. The suit does breath well, so even though it doesn't seam to have much venting, it stays dry.

Ends of sleeves are bulky, work very well over gloves. I have always worn my gloves over the jacket through lack of choice, this method should be perfect for my heated gloves. If
you can afford it you certainly get a well designed, high quality product.

No better suit on the market

If you can afford this suit, buy it! It is made with the best materials. The protection built into the suit includes back, knee and elbow high quality protection. The reflective stripes are an extra safety bonus that is very much worth the money

The Suit After a Summer...

As promised, I am writing a follow-up review to supplement my "out-of-the-box" review posted earlier.

I have now ridden in the Infinity suit for a summer riding season. My initial impressions of the suit have generally been borne out by the experience.

First, the pros. The fit and finish of the suit is fantastic. The SAS-tecarmor is very comfortable because it is both thin and flexible. I hardly notice that it's in there. I have ridden in temps up to the mid-90s with the suit, with no fatigue, but it does get warm above the mid-80s. I don't mind sweating a bit when riding, so be guided accordingly. Air flow through the chest and back vents is surprisingly good, given their size and number. In hot weather, I do cheat a little by opening the main TiZip to mid-chest while keeping the neck buttoned. The TiZips have broken in and work pretty easily. The suit goes on and comes off in about 15 seconds, which I think is great.

One potential con that I mentioned before is the roughness of the TiZips against bare leg skin if you are wearing shorts under the suit. I did a workaround by buying some thin neoprene fabric and cementing flaps inside each leg at the zip from above to below the knee, so that the fabric covered the zip and isolated it from my skin. That fix (Rev-It take note!) cost me about $20 retail, without compromising the waterproofness of the suit.

Now for the few cons. No matter what the ads say, the suit will get a little dirty and does hold "stains". I say that in quotes because we have not tried to wash it fully yet. Also take note -HAND WASH ONLY - my wife is pretty unhappy to see that! The hip pockets are very small, not easily accessible with gloved hands, and placed too far to the front. Seems to me a case of style over substance. Larger, side-placed cargo pockets would not have been as sleek, but would have added much more value to a top-of-the-line suit.

Overall, I am still very impressed with the quality, materials, design and construction of the suit. I look forward to using it with heated clothing in the colder weather.

GROUND CONTROL TO MAJOR TOM...

This is strictly an "out-of-the-box" review, since the suit arrived earlier today, and I have not taken it on my first ride.

I ordered this suit after a lot of soul-searching. I don't do that much all-weather riding, nor do I commute on my bike, or otherwise have to get from point A to point B no matter what. Further, I have never paid anything near this much for a piece of riderwear. Finally, there are a couple of other suits out there (the Olympia Phantom, for one) that caught my eye, and certainly would not be so hard on the wallet.

So, did the Infinity Suit sooth my soul out of the box?

YOU BETCHA! First, the suit is constructed according to the traditional Rev'It high standards of quality and engineering. But more, both the new materials and technologies used in the suit, and the excellent design approach, makes you feel like you could wear this thing on a space-walk, not just a motorcycle. The seams are completely taped, the Tizip dry-suit zippers are monsters from waterproofing, and the suit even has a pass-through (waterproof of course) for the cord for heated clothing.

Second, the fit of the XL suit is well-nigh perfect for me. Admittedly, this was the second suit I ordered, the first being a 2XL that turned out to be too baggy and too long in the leg. For those considering an Infinity, note that I am 6' 0", 205 lbs., 44" chest and 32" inseam. The folks at Revzilla could not have been more accommodating about both their advice and their willingness to assure that I had a good fit and was totally happy with the product. The best customer service I have seen from a website ever. Thanks, guys and gals!!

Finally, the level of protection that the suit promises is without parallel. SAS-tech armor in the shoulders, back and elbows, as well as hip protectors, all portend a soft landing should that become necessary. (I hope it doesn't!!)

The one possible downside that I noticed was when sitting on the bike with only shorts on under the suit. The Tizip zippers are rather stiff, and at the knee fold around so that you can feel the inside of the zipper on the inside of your knees - not that comfortable. This may work itself out as the suit "softens" with some wearing. If not, I plan to put some sort of cloth inside the suit at those spots (not sure how yet) to buffer the inside of the zippers.

I will try to do a follow-up review after a few rides.

If you want to use any layered clothes for cold weather. I suggest going up one size.
