The GIRI glove, designed for off-road and tour sportive riders, features the same functionalities as the COMET, with one exception: the GIRI has a rubber knuckle part, instead of a hard-shell carbon knuckle. This lightweight glove is also constructed from soft materials with climate-control characteristics that ensure good ventilation and breathability.

  • Composition outer shell: 50% leather, 35% polyamide, 11% polyester, 4% other fibres

I bought these on August of 2010 after someone stole my Icon's Twenty Niners. I was looking for more protection, more durability and comfort. When compared with Icons these are definitely more protective. The leather is very good quality but the gloves started to fall apart on the stitches...- where there is stitching between leather and that flexible/stretchy material that covers upper wrist. The size runs bit smaller than the Icons I had (in XXL) - so they are a really really tight XXL fit - even after they broke in. I don't know if these are the best $50 gloves out there but they are definitely OK. After all, they lasted for about 3000 miles...lol
No, I do not recommend this product.

I'm a lady rider wearing these mens gloves. Wanted to review this to help other ladies. I'm a tiny gal but don't have petit hands or skinny fingers though - I have a size small in these gloves. Pretty sure I'm a size large in womens gloves.
Just wore these gloves all weekend and they are pretty nice, but I'm worried they are too small. If in doubt or in between sizes, order a size up. And make sure to try them on with your hands on some handlebars. My gloves felt fine out of the package but after being on the bike for a couple hours my fingers started to feel a bit cramped.
The airflow was actually really great in these, I was pleasantly surprised!
Some of the seams on the inside seem a tad uncomfortable but maybe the gloves are just not broken in yet. I was worried about seams but my hands didn't have any sores on them after the weekend.

I love these gloves, they are a great value. They are perfectly designed. They look great, feel great, the cuff is the perfect length. They are good in the summer, obviously don't breathe as well as a mesh glove but just right in my opinion, I anticipate wearing them into the fall and in the spring. The protection is there, the rubber feels adequate and I would not have gone for the Comet after having these. Someone said the seams hurt their fingers- well, they do fit tight, which I like, and they did jam my fingers a little, but it went away after a week or two, no complaints! I would recommend ordering up one size if in doubt. Finally, Rev-It is absolutely the BEST. Their gear is oodles ahead in fit, style and quality than anything else I've tried. These gloves make my Joe Rocket gloves look like silly toys, and for less money.
Pros Great Value, Rugged, Fashionable, Comfortable

REV'IT! Jackets are European (slim) cut and generally more narrow in the shoulders than other brands. Please take this into account when choosing the appropriate size. Most riders with any body type other than "slim" would need to order one size larger than they typically might wear in other brands, if you are in between sizes, we recommend erring on the larger side. SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements.  REV'IT! sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
