Was looking for a good summer glove with protection & padding as well as ventilation. The Rev'it Comet Glove fit the bill nicely. The customer service rep's sizing recommendation was spot-on! I'm usually a medium in cycling & skiing gloves & the large fit perfectly (yes, these gloves are cut smaller).
I recommend these gloves without reservation.

Very good airflow and well constructed.
I wear an XL in this glove but usually wear a medium glove, so it is sized small.
I bought these in 2009 so after two solid years of riding, I can tell you they are excellent gloves.

This is my second pair of the same exact Rev'it Comet gloves. I got the gloves to go with my Joe Rocket Meteor 6.0 jackets. the red/grey/black color scheme matches exactly. I have a Red tank / grey frame Ducati Monster, so the gear goes with the bike as well - very pleased to find gloves that not only look good, but function great. I've never had the gloves bunch up, feel too damp, nor be uncomfortable for me. I bought my second pair only as a back-up. My original pair are over a year old and show a little bit of wear on the palm, knuckle guard, and are broken in just right. I have not even had a loose stitch to complain about. For a XXL size glove, I think I'm normally a large in other brands. keep it in mind if ordering online. I tried them on in the store, as I don't always trust my own measurements when ordering online. I highly recommend these gloves, as they have me turned on to more Rev'it products in the near future.

I used the sizing chart to figure out my size and the gloves fit perfectly when they arrived. They're extremely comfortable riding around, there isn't anything bothersome that reminds me I'm wearing gloves. They only times they've felt hot are when I'm not moving. I haven't had any problems with durability as of yet.

I love these gloves. They seem quite protective, though I'm not speaking from experience, and hope to never do so. They're remarkably cool for leather gloves. Riding in Cleveland with the heat and humidity I was worried that they'd be too warm to wear, but they are most certainly not.
The first couple of times out, some of the dye stayed on my hands, but that hasn't happened since.

Unfortunately getting the right sized gloves may be a challenge; I have a relatively standard Large (large L, small XL) and I bought these in an XL thinking they would be snug, which is good if you want to use your fingers. However they are too snug, and even after a couple of weeks of use they are too small in the palms. Finger length is great, however.
Another complaint is the same as many here; there seems to be a seam that presses on the bottom of my thumbs... I haven't worn the gloves for longer than a half hour and when I take them off I notice pressure points that make me neurvous about their comfort in longer rides.
I think the gloves look great and if you can get the sizing right are very nice. Make sure you don't wear them other than to check fit or Revzilla won't take them back.

This is my first pair of Rev'it gloves and I am very satisfied so far. I rode in 90 degree temperatures and although my hands were a bit moist, the gloves did not feel hot. Airflow seems very good even with hand guards. The fit is definitely small as I normally take an XL in a glove, but I called Revzilla and they steered me in the right direction. I ordered an XXL and the fit is perfect. The gloves are very light, seem to be well made and appear to offer good protection. My only complaint is that I can feel the seam on the right hand thumb, which although not a deal breaker, is annoying. Left hand thumb is perfect. All things considered a very good to excellent glove.

Answer: 
Both are designed to have great ventilation, however, the Gasket has leather on the insides of the fingers compared to the mesh on the Comet which will inherently reduce airflow. Other than that detail both gloves are great options for warm weather riding. We have a staff member who has ridden these the past two summers and loves them.

Not sure about the Gasket, but just commenting on airflow - these gloves are downright friggin cold some days, lol.

They flow EXTREMELY well, and in fact, the other day riding to a restaurant at 70 degrees, I showed up with ice cold fingers.

Feels very protected, but I never like to speak on anything regarding protection unless I've personally crashed in it

REV'IT! Jackets are European (slim) cut and generally more narrow in the shoulders than other brands. Please take this into account when choosing the appropriate size. Most riders with any body type other than "slim" would need to order one size larger than they typically might wear in other brands, if you are in between sizes, we recommend erring on the larger side. SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements.  REV'IT! sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
