I was looking for a removable luggage option to carry a wallet, phone, tools, and a light rain jacket (as a liner) that was stable at speed and had a relatively low profile so I could still get over my tank since my bike lacks a windscreen. This pack did the trick, and with the cover, kept my stuff dry through a torrential downpour. The only detractor that I can think of is that you have to 'flip' the bag over to get to the gas cap. The carrying strap is a nice addition, and so far I haven't noticed any issues with scratching my tank paint.
