nice but they could have added a few extra bells and whistles
First off I havn't ridden with the pants yet but my first observations find the pants to be quite comfortable. I am 5'11" 205 lbs and have 34 waist. I ordered the XL and was able to get them over jeans comfortably. I can only see a few things that would be nice to have. Better venting or venting at all and some reflective stripping. Other than that great bang for your buck.

Waterproof but no airflow
A nice enough pant.
Knee pads are too low when walking but in the riding position seem to be about right.
The pants themselves are not waterproof but the removable liner is. Negative point is that with the liner in (when raining) it is very warm indeed and no air can circulate. So only comfortable as a cold weather pant when using liner.
Second point is that the waterproof liner is not attached at the bottom of the pants so when you take the pants off, the liner does not stay in place, and comes out with your legs.
So on hot/warm days leave the liner at home and bring a some waterproof over trousers.
Honestly am neutral if I would recommend them

Great Value
Pants are a little long and baggie, but a great value for the price! Feels durable and the adjustable knee protection is a big plus.

This pants are great, you really keep dry and even when they are a little large you can adjust them to fit well.

Good overall riding pants
Wear these most days to work. Good rain protection and also keep me warm on colder mornings and nights.

Had a 50mph crash in these pants
So I took a spill in these pants at about 50mph and all I ended up with was a small break in my fibula bone. And bad bruise on my left shin. All other parts of my body were protected by these pants and other ride gear I was wearing i.e. jacket gloves etc.
The pants worked great, I was only hurt in areas where the pants had no ce protection. Nice pants, look great too.
To bad the EMT people cut them off me so now I need some new ones...bool.

Nice pants
These pants fit a little tight across the hips but they kept me warm. Well worth the cost in comparison to more expensive pants.

Durable but Bulky
These are my first pair of motorcycle pants. I'm 5' 11", slim build, and normally wear 32" waist and 31" inseam in jeans, so I ordered the size Medium Short (inseam 32"). I guess Joe Rocket doesn't have options for folks with shorter inseams? The pants were bulkier than I expected and I had the feeling I was wearing ski pants. Overall the fit is big, as the waist runs a bit large, there's plenty of room in hips and legs, and when standing straight up the pants legs are definitely dragging on the floor. But when in the riding position (knees bent), the length is almost perfect, at least for me.
The pants come with a liner that I haven't used, but even without them they are decently warm (rode in low 40 degrees). So with the liner in, I think you'll be protected but in the extremest of cold weather. I don't think these pants will be good for warm weather, as they aren't really breathable.
Protection seems quite good, with the CE-rated knee pads and non-CE rated foam pads for the hips. The ballistic nylon seems quite tough. One thing about the knee pads - there are two slots for height adjustment. When standing, even the highest adjustment for the knee pads feels a bit low (like the center of the pad is below the center of my knee). But in the riding position, the knee pads move up the leg a bit, and feel like they are where they need to be. Haven't test the waterproof-ness as I haven't rode in the rain. Overall, these are an ok from me as my first pair of colder weather pants.
