    Torque boots represent the maximum expression in Dainese foot protection technology. Light weight and safety come together in a product designed expressly for sports use that is also the natural evolution of the Axial Project, which has now in its third generation following the birth of the D-Axial boot in 2000 and its improvement as the Axial boot in 2005. Like its two predecessors, the Torque-out version was designed for "OUT" wear (the Dainese patented exclusive racing suit/boot coupling system) and vaunts the tried-and-tested internal Axial protection structure developed with help from the best racers on the MotoGP circuit and Dr. Costa's Mobile Clinic. Unlike the Torque-in version, the Torque-out model is worn outside the pants by. The Axial system limits the twisting of the ankle and consequent trauma to the rider, while also enveloping the foot and the ankle for protection against impact, which is efficiently absorbed through even distribution around the entire structure. The insertion of the new Lorica bellows and a new external structure in thermoplastic material improve the boot's ergonomic efficiency, increase comfort, and promote greater freedom in the movement of the foot. A new slider in stainless steel applied to the exterior rear part bonded to supports in thermoplastic material increases both the boot's anti-grip properties and abrasion resistance in case of falling followed by sliding.

    The new technologies adopted for the design of the boot have permitted considerable reduction in industrialisation costs, and this permits a boot with avant-garde technical content to be sold at an extremely competitive price to the advantage of all Dainese motorcycle riders. As in the Torque-in version, the Torque-Out model features a new slider in stainless steel applied to the exterior rear part bonded to supports in thermoplastic material that increases both the boot's anti-grip properties and abrasion resistance in case of falling followed by sliding.

I've been wearing my Torque Outs for nearly a year, and I LOVE em'. Although designed to be worn outside the pant the "hook & loop" calf adjustment at the rear zippered entry allows them to be as easily worn 'INside' the pant leg as “Out”. The "rear zippered entry" is also by FAR a much easier way of fitting and removal than the commonly used 'side zipper'.
I gotta give it up to Dainese for a system that protects against hyperextensions of the foot/ankle that doesn't look like collaboration between a podiatrist and a blacksmith. Most boots with similar protection have the wearer looking like an Imperial Storm Trooper from Star Wars. The Dainese’s design is svelte, flowing, and totally innocuous. This is also true with the many other reinforced and purposefully designed areas of the boot.
Comfort wise? They were comfortable the first time I put em’ on, and they have only gotten MORE comfortable over time. They flex easily and naturally in every direction needed for comfort and control; but they protect and resist like steel against injurious forces.

If you can appreciate “full-race” protection; but don’t wish to resemble ‘Robo-Cop’ everywhere but the race track I recommend the Dainese ‘Torque Out’ boots.
