Excellent companion to Dainese Airfast Perforated Jacket Love my Airfast Jacket, but it moves so much air, that under 65 degrees can be chilly at speed. This had me looking for a way to extend my usage down to 50-55 degrees without buying another jacket. Only portions of this shirt are windproof, but the portions match up perfectly with the perforations in the jacket. The rest is highly breathable, making it fairly comfortable. I wouldn't want to be in this combination of summer jacket with a windproof shirt for great lengths of time in weather beneath 55 degrees... but it is perfect for taking off in 50 degrees as the day is starting to warm up and is still comfortable at 65+. It also folds up small and fits in a tank bag as the temps come up. Sizing was better than i expected from the reviews. I am a 42R in the chest and a 34 in jeans... small beer belly... wear a 54 in the Airfast Jacket. The Large shirt fits perfect... not too tight or loose. Basically fits like anything in a large from Banana Republic. October 27, 2014
Worth every penny. I got this to go under my Rev'It Airwave summer jacket to add versatility and be able to layer during Spring/Fall riding in the North East. Quality is great, stopped the wind and insulated as expected. I used it while the temperature was in the mid-50s-70s, and took it off once it hit 70º. I'm 6'1" and 165lbs, wear a Rev'It M/L depending on style, and ordered the Dianese in a L…fit perfectly. If you think you may be between sizes i'd say order up a size. As always, Revzilla customer service was excellent and it was shipped super fast. May 12, 2014
Great layering piece, keeps me warm! I got this as a layering piece to my Dainese Speed Naked Leather jacket. It's a perfect match and keeps me well insulated even when I ride in the 40's. The only issue I have with the shirt is that it is pilling where the zipper for the zip in pants rubs against it on the lower back. Other than that, great shirt and I would readily recommend it. great addition to winter riding gear nice fit--pairs well with my Ignition 2 jacket, i wear it over compression shirt and with only wind liner in and I was comfortable and had good mobility December 29, 2013
Perfect piece of cold weather kit. The shirt stops the chill that comes through the zipper section of my Spidi jacket and just happens to line up really well with the stretch fabric areas as well. It does exactly as stated, and stops the wind. Excellent gear. October 29, 2013
Good product you get what you pay for and I don't regret to get the shirt. It keep you very warm and block the wind very well. October 24, 2013
Perfect base layer I have the Revit Airwave jacket and live on the California coast, so temperatures vary quite a bit within a short distance. This base layer is exactly what I wanted to wear under the Airwave jacket. It blocks the cool/cold coastal wind that passes through my jacket, yet it is light weight and stylish when I stop and remove my jacket. The thin material around the neck works well under the collar of my jacket. An added benefit to the base layer is that it allows me to look for a different winter jacket, one that is stylish vs that I have a solution to the variable temperatures and mild winters here on the California coast. So much warmer These things are really really warm. Great for naked bikes. You get really hot when you go inside, so plan to have to take it off. Drying them is a bit of a pain, they take forever to dry as they absorb a ton of water. August 25, 2012

Christopher S: Hi William,

I'm 6'1", 205lbs. I wear the XL and the fit is perfect. You might consider the L. Cool thing about Revzilla is the return policy. I've had a couple of returns over the years and these guys always make it easy. By the way, this Dianese Windstopper is very very effective. Take it from a year round Pacific Northwest rider. Keep the rubber side down bro'!

Michael S asked: How cold of temperatures does anyone think this would be good for? I wan't to find something to wear under my Icon Overlord jacket instead of having to buy an outright winter riding jacket. Oct 24, 2013

Louis V: The windstopper is great for frontal warmth. I found the shirt to be a bit short. You might try one size larger than you normally order.
I rode at snow level (about 40 degrees) last year with the wind shirt and a perforated leather jacket. I was quite comfortable during the day long ride.

Christopher S: I wear the shirt and pants, and they are very effective. I highly recommend these to anyone. I'd like to answer your question, but I don't quite understand what you're asking. It might be a language barrier. Can you rephrase your question?

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements. Dainese sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chest: Measure from under/top of armpit across chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
  • Gloves: Using a flexible measuring tape, measure around your hand, behind the knuckles, not including the thumb.
