Bridgestone Battlax BT45 Sport Touring Tire
First new tire
I have had a good experience with the tire since installing. I had a friend install it for me and the ride has been smooth sailing. 10/10 will purchase again the same tire from Revzilla.

Good tire for the price.
+ great in rain
+ good price

- wears a little faster than I expected
Overall, I'd still recommend this tire.

Tire has a line down the middle for water to drain
Its a very well designed tire made for everyday riders or if you like to hit the canyons every weekend, this is a great alternative that will last you a long time. Rubber in the middle is thicker and stronger, compared to the outer tire which is a softer compound made for better grip incase you want to lean. The zig-zag line that goes down the middle of the tire helps with draining water on rainy days. Overall an improvement of grip and you feel safer, knowing you have a good quality tire under you.

Good enough until the Michelin Pilot Street Radial hits the US
I have a 2012 Honda CBR250R and there are not a lot of tires offered in sizes 140/70-17 R and 110/70-17 F to fit this bike. The exceptionally reviewed new Michelin Pilot Street Radial was specifically designed for service on this bike and the Kawasaki Ninja 250/300 and is offered in most other major world markets, but for some reason the Pilot Street Radial is not (yet) being offered in the US market.
After 8,000 miles though, I needed to replace the stock IRC Road Winner bias plys, so I went with this solid choice from Bridgestone. The Battlax BT45 is a good, solid, well-made bias ply tire. It does a good job of absorbing bumps and it tracks very smooth and straight with low road noise. It runs cooler than the IRC Road Winners, so I anticipate a slight improvement in fuel mileage.
However, I feel like it handles more sluggishly than the stock IRC's. Tip-in on curves requires more effort and there's a slight delay in reaction from the bike compared to the original equipment tires. I have not yet ridden in the rain, so I can't comment on wet traction.
I also noticed that both front and rear tires lost 10 psi in a week. I have no idea if that is the fault of the tires or not. I tightened the Schrader valves just in case the tire service center left them a bit loose and will keep a close eye on the pressure from here on out.

Bought a set of these for my GS500 they feel great. The amount of grip compared to my old ones it night and day. They feel pretty good in the wet a well.

Bought my first bike, 2009 GS500F, used back in July 2013 and noticed that the rear tire had some tire rot. Wasn't terrible but I'm smart enough to know that it needed to be switched out.
Anyway, I replaced the rear tire with the exact same model and haven't had any issues. My riding is more of a 'weekend warrior' style and I've already put over 800 miles on this new tire. Like I said, no issues and you really can't beat the price.
