Good tire Replaced my worn factory... its like i have a whole new bike... handles amazing now. I bought my bike with a worn rear and i slapped this one on. Shouldve done it sooner. Good tire so far. July 21, 2014
Good tire for the price. Pros: + great in rain + good price + good grip Cons: - wears a little faster than I expected Overall, I'd still recommend this tire. April 21, 2014
Tire has a line down the middle for water to drain Its a very well designed tire made for everyday riders or if you like to hit the canyons every weekend, this is a great alternative that will last you a long time. Rubber in the middle is thicker and stronger, compared to the outer tire which is a softer compound made for better grip incase you want to lean. The zig-zag line that goes down the middle of the tire helps with draining water on rainy days. Overall an improvement of grip and you feel safer, knowing you have a good quality tire under you. Good enough until the Michelin Pilot Street Radial hits the US I have a 2012 Honda CBR250R and there are not a lot of tires offered in sizes 140/70-17 R and 110/70-17 F to fit this bike. The exceptionally reviewed new Michelin Pilot Street Radial was specifically designed for service on this bike and the Kawasaki Ninja 250/300 and is offered in most other major world markets, but for some reason the Pilot Street Radial is not (yet) being offered in the US market. After 8,000 miles though, I needed to replace the stock IRC Road Winner bias plys, so I went with this solid choice from Bridgestone. The Battlax BT45 is a good, solid, well-made bias ply tire. It does a good job of absorbing bumps and it tracks very smooth and straight with low road noise. It runs cooler than the IRC Road Winners, so I anticipate a slight improvement in fuel mileage. However, I feel like it handles more sluggishly than the stock IRC's. Tip-in on curves requires more effort and there's a slight delay in reaction from the bike compared to the original equipment tires. I have not yet ridden in the rain, so I can't comment on wet traction. I also noticed that both front and rear tires lost 10 psi in a week. I have no idea if that is the fault of the tires or not. I tightened the Schrader valves just in case the tire service center left them a bit loose and will keep a close eye on the pressure from here on out. October 7, 2013
Great tires Bought a set of these for my GS500 they feel great. The amount of grip compared to my old ones it night and day. They feel pretty good in the wet a well. September 30, 2013
Solid tire Bought my first bike, 2009 GS500F, used back in July 2013 and noticed that the rear tire had some tire rot. Wasn't terrible but I'm smart enough to know that it needed to be switched out. Anyway, I replaced the rear tire with the exact same model and haven't had any issues. My riding is more of a 'weekend warrior' style and I've already put over 800 miles on this new tire. Like I said, no issues and you really can't beat the price. September 13, 2013
Awesome Tire So Far Exactly what I was looking for in terms of longer tread life, stability, and just giving me confidence out on the streets. Definitely recommend this tire, hope it lasts longer than my stock IRC tires! August 29, 2013
Definitely best Bang for the buck I ride a 1991 GS500E I have been using these for about 200 miles now. They come highly recommended by other GS riders. www.gstwins.com. Price: 4/5 Basically very good bang for the buck Quality: 5/5 They came in mint condition and fast Use: 5/5 I have ridden them in a bit of rain here in the PNW, on asphalt the grip is awesome. I am by no means a racer or agressive rider but these feel great. I highly recommend them myself. I will probably end up getting again in the future Long post: So basically when I got these i rode them for about 50 miles. The first 25 miles or so i took it easy on them never even reaching 40mph. After i had driven sufficiently far enough i jumped on the freeway and headed back home. At this time they were very warm but not completely broken in. On the twisties when i was going slow they had great grip and i never felt the bike give any ways or indication of losing control. On the freeway they were very quite and the bike was very stable. The cuts on the tire are made for all season but dont get me wrong. These will not help you in snow or dirt. They are a everyday commuting tire and nothing more. Excellent for that use. I would say they are great in the rain but not excellent. July 10, 2013
