Avon Roadrider AM26 Tires
Great long life tire that never lets me down
When I bought my Bonneville, it had a set of Roadriders on it. After 12,000 miles, the rear one was needing to be replaced, and the front still had plenty of life in the tread, though the New Mexico sun and dry climate had began to crack the sidewall a bit. I ride all year long with little regard to weather, and I rarely have any issues with traction or grip, even in snow. In regard to sportier riding styles, I have been known to take corners with sport bikes and have been near the point of knee dragging with the Roadriders holding up swimmingly through it all.
These tires track on grooved roads. It is a bit unnerving at times, and becomes bothersome at around 85 mph. Tar snakes also result in tracking, wobbling, and instability at even low speeds. On wet roads, snakes are like slippery goo with these tires as well, so Avon hasn't solved this age old problem.
If you want a good tire for riding long distances and every day, the Avon Roadrider is for you.

Bought these for my 2012 Bonneville (base model) and they are fantastic. They blow the Metzlers that come stock on the bike out of the water. Have not had them long enough to review the tread life properly, but for urban riding, I have been very pleased thus far.

I've never rode on any tires other than Avon Roadriders so this is totally bias. I just got a new pair on my Bonneville SE and had to ride in the rain in NYC. Was nervous going over metal plates and sewer covers but these tires never lost grip in the rain. Excellent tires!

High quality, great grip
I'm running these on a 1975 Yamaha XS500. These tires came promptly; they are nice and heavy with good rubber. Installation was a little tricky, I think these tires run a bit wide. But once they were on the bike, they were a dream. Great handling, braking, and cornering. Nice and grippy and good in the rain. A good tire for people running older bikes and cafe-racer style bikes.

Pretty good tire
Tire seems pretty good so far. This was for my wife's Ninja 500 and she says she likes them. It is an improvement over the stock tires. Can't speak for tread life or rain since they are brand new and we haven't had a chance to ride in the rain yet. When I took her bike out for a quick spin I felt as if the tire could have been a little stickier but they were still really good at gripping the road.

Great bike for a Ninjette
Replaced my stock IRC Roadwinner on a 2010 Ninja 250 (before I sold it a while back). Obviously a brand new tire always feels better than a wore out tire, but after a few thousand miles it still felt way better than the OE tire ever did.
Grips well through corners, felt more stable and softer on the highway during my commutes, and a very good looking tire as well. Unfortunately I never got to see how long it was going to last as I sold the bike, but my IRC lasted 10,000 miles and the Avon was a harder compound that should have lasted longer. For 250s I say this tire is a no brainer.

My Go-To Tire
I've gone through 2 pairs of these tires on my Bonneville. The only thing I have to compair them to is the stock Metzlers that came on the bike. These Avon's are by far the better tire when making that comparison. Grip is great, they look great, and I've found them pretty durable. They do wear a little faster than a harder, less sticky tire. But, that's to be expected when you trade grip for tire life. If you do good, well rounded riding, and keep the tire evenly worn, they'll last about 8000-10,000 miles on the rear, more on the front.

Changed my ride
These are a welcome change on my old Triumph. I was running "old style" tires and decided to switch to a more modern pattern. While these are actually a lower profile and slimmer than the old ones their grip is quite better, the bike feels nimbler and smoother and looks better too.
