Avon Gripster AM24 Tires 5 5 1 1
A great all around dual sport tire These tires do a great job. I have them on my KLR650, which I rode to Canada and back last Summer, about 3500 miles. Whether I was on pavement or dirt roads I never worried about grip, stability, or handling. As for handling in wet conditions, I rode through a lot of rain, including a serious down pour with very high crosswinds in Eastern Idaho and the tires did outstanding. I have around 4500 miles on the set and have only used about half of the tread life. April 1, 2012

in the same direction as the rotation on the sidewall. on my front gripster the arrows in the tread, point in the opposite direction as the rotation on the sidewall. so...the arrows in the tread on my front tire are pointing backwards??? is this correct? or did I purchase a bad tire?

Answer:
Your front tire isn't bad, but whoever installed it is. The arrows are there to let the installer know which way to put the tire on. If you're getting ready to change the front tire, don't worry about it. If it's a newly installed tire I'd go back to whoever installed it and ask them to fix it. If they're professional, they shouldn't charge you since it was their mistake.

Answer:
You're correct - the arrows show it and the tread is opposite what you would think in normal.
