The Stella S-MX 5 has been created for women riders as a performance road and track boot, incorporating the latest technical footwear design and material know-how. Following on from the other performance boots in the Alpinestars range, the S-MX 5 is notable for its comfort, hugging fit, safety performance and ease of adjustability.

Features:

  • All-Round protection, durable and high-tech micro-fiber upper construction offering a high level of flexibility
  • Double injected PU shields the shin, ankle, calf, toe and heel from impact while minimizing abrasion
  • Inner protection is given by a double injected panel connected to the heel counter, hidden beneath the outer shell and running up the outer ankle
  • Innovative air vents at the ankle, heel and forefoot are covered with a specially designed mesh to provide unmatched levels of rider comfort
  • Large throat profile instep and Achilles flex bellows for superior flex and comfort. MTP mesh liner and anatomical, removable, PU Foam foot bed keeps the foot cool and comfortable
  • Innovative inner (medial) side entry opening/closure system that features an elastic mounted zipper with an extra wide Velcro© flap, to give a precise, comfortable fit and wide opening aperture for ease of access

Great out of the box Well. Sort of. The first pair I got had a faulty inseam inside one of the shoes that was right at my heel, so every time I walked I felt a hard line rubbing away at my sock and skin. But, Revzilla did a great and quick job of letting me return them for another pair (free shipping both ways). This pair was oh so comfortable, I'm really happy that I exchanged them. My only gripe is that it can get warm in there, but with a pair of athletic socks, everything is a-ok. Oh, my shoe size is 7.5 and got a 38(7?) and it's just a bit tight at first but its pretty dang comfy for what it is. I wouldn't exchange it for the bigger size. April 15, 2013
Just awesome pair of boots... Bought these for my wife and so far she loves them. She has not taken them to the tracks but I can tell you that these boots are durable and offers enough protection on top of it being very comfortable. She said these boots are very comfy around the toes unlike the other brands that runs narrow around the toes which can make it very uncomfortable especially on the long rides. The styling looks great. She said she would buy another pair after these. January 10, 2013
Awesome multipurpose, safe boot! I spent hours researching boots and have tried on boots ranging from sport to harley-style steel toes with laces. One of my first boots were for sport/race that I had a poor experience with, so I was unsure what to expect and hoping I would like these. Revzilla customer service talked me through my top 3 choices and the benefits: I chose these over gaerne/sidi fusion leis and couldn't be happier. These offer high protection but comfort and walkability beyond my expectations. The soles are flexible enough for those of us who can only put down the ball of the foot astride our bikes and have grippy soles. The shift pad area is great on the toe, something I will want in all my future boots, and has a great shape at the front of the foot for fitting your sportbike pegs(something everday steel toes are not so good at and too chunky, both wide and tall in the forefoot). There is venting and enough width in the boot for my slightly wider than average feet to allow for a wool sock if needed. I commute and ride in the san diego area, which ranges from 35 in the morning or mountains to 90+ in the desert, and these are great so far for both. (have not tried in rain) This boot has all the same quality features as the men's (I compared side by side as my husband loves and rides in them also!!!) The side zips and velcro are high quality and allow easy adjustment. I have an assortment of revit, dainese and icon gear and these boots look great with them all (the black with white are gorgeous and standout) Truly the best of both worlds, comfort sport boots and sporty touring-since I have need of neither extreme. Great Boots! Look Awesome! I was a little concerned about the size. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 so I ordered up. The boots were a little big but fit perfectly with a terry cloth insole. The boots are a little stiff so I did have to adjust my riding position slightly in order to be able to shift gears. But the boots are very comfortable and easy to walk in. They are very light and durable. I am very pleased with these boots and will absolutely recommend them to anyone! October 7, 2012

I feel like Superwoman! These are great boots... very comfortable, very stylish, and so far very durable. I also found them to be true to size. I ride for fun and as a commuter, so I am often wearing the boots for quite a while during the day.. they can be a little warm on hot days, but otherwise very comfortable. June 18, 2012

Most, if not all, track boots have a heel of approximately 1/4". The Alpinestars Women's Stella S-MX 5 Boots are no exception.

Answer: 
The inside circumference of the top of the boot is adjustable from 10-3/4 inches to about 13-1/2 inches. This was measured on a size Euro 38 boot and the top of the opening measures 9-3/4 inches from the bottom of the heel on the inside.

Answer: 
The opening of this boot is very wide. I have skinny calves and the opening is wide enough that I can stick my hand in the boot to adjust my sock without any problems. I am very happy with these boots but do wish the opening was a little more narrow.
