A high quality, yet relatively low cost adventure type riding jacket.
Like most Alpinestars gear, this jacket runs a bit on the small side. I normally wear a size XL in most other shirts & jackets, but an XXL in this fits me perfectly. Nice quality features, & stitching, comfortable. Very waterproof with a double zipper system over the main zipper. Removable insulated liner. A bit warm for riding around town or in the wood at slow speeds, but once you get moving, the shoulder vents scoop up a surprising amount of fresh air, right out the back vent. This jacket is best for cooler weather, a bit too hot for mid summer riding for me. But it could be done. Nice padding in the elbow, back, shoulders & chest. Well laid out pockets. Could user a few more vents, but that might compromise its waterproof ability. All in all a very nice jacket.

I am a large male raised in the U.S.A. The jacket fits very well. AStars thought this one through, very weatherproof including rain via a offset dual zipper system with a velcro held fold in a tab between the zippers - absolute perfection!. Snap adjustments can be made to keep armor where it should be when you ride. I do not own a car. I depend on my motorcycle to get me everywhere besides work, where I take the train. Great jacket, but I would not recommend for summer, it would be too hot for me. The removeable inner liner is very warm and runs the full length of the sleeves. There are lots of pockets for gear that does not need waterproof protection. I love the high collar as it really keeps the neck warm. I ride in 15F temperatures with this jacket and there is no problem with warmth where it protects me. The liner material inside the lower sleeve area seems like it is a low tech rubbery membrane and may hold in moisture if used in warmer weather. I absolutely love this jacket.

The jacket overall fits well but the neck tends to be a little tight. Tends to run a little small - ordered a med but think I should have ordered a large. I ride a Goldwing and have worn this many times between St Louis and Dallas. Well made and have received some nice comments on the jacket.
