Great bag for commuting.
Couldn't ask for a better bag for it's intended use. I use it for my commute to work 4 days a week. Yes the zippers are a bit stiff, but they're taped for water resistance. The internal pockets are great, most have velcro or a zipper to close them. It's a very versatile bag, I can load it up and go away for a couple days comfortably. 4 stars.

Good Commuter Pack
I purchased this pack to use commuting from home to work as well as minor luggage while riding my motorcycle, as I have no other luggage to use.
While the main compartment is spacious, the little slots and organizers (zippers, velcro, etc) are a little hard to get to because the main compartment does not open up all the way. The zippers have this weatherproofing on them (havent tested that yet) but it makes them slightly hard to open on the curves of the pack. The straight zippers are fine to open and shut but it can get a little frustrating on the main curved one.
Overall, a good pack for Commuting. I did go camping with it (not on bike) and was able to keep two days worth of clothes, a towel (inside the laptop compartment) and various other items and some snacks in the pack with no problems.
I was also able to transport a 5L jug of oil in it with no problems.

Surprise! Another pocket
I use this bag to carry my lunch, work clothes & other various items. Everytime i use it i find a new pocket or zipper to hid things i'll later forget about. I tried out the laptop storage space & it was very tight but my fat 17" acer laptop fit & doesn't take away any room from the main compartment. When adjusting the strap don't pull them so the bag is high other wise the top hits the back of my helmet when tucked down on the bike. Love that I have the space to go away for a weekend & take all the nesiccary items to stay human. Great bag & comfortable to wear. Not sure if i want to test the waterproof capabilities?

Others have better design for the money
It may be waterproof but the zippers are a nightmare. Some of the pockets are a strange size and shape and aren't very useful. There are others on the market for the money that are much more useful and I'd put moisture critical items in plastic bags in future.

Great back pack for the price, needs one adjustment....
This is a very nice back pack. It is very comfortable and has more than enough compartments. The only change I'd make is the zipper for the larger section needs to be modified for easier access. It is a bit difficult to open and close...I'm hoping that this eases up the more I use it but right now it is a bit of a pain.

Commuter Pack Design = Right on Target
First, I agree with SANGDRAX8. This pack is really well constructed but the main compartment zipper is indeed a chore to open/close and the overall storage space is pretty small.
With that said... this pack is just what I was looking for. I needed something to commute to work with my 15.4" Widescreen HP laptop. I first purchased the bigger Alpinestars Deploy but it didn't do the trick. The awkwardly placed side zipper is way to short. The side zipper on the Commuter is longer and I can slide my laptop right in. As far as storage, I just need enough space for my rain gear, and a few tools. For this, the storage space is perfect. Now... if Alpinestars would have put the same reflective piping and large logo as they did on the Deploy, this pack would be even better. Note to Alpinestars... Increase the zipper length on the Deploy by a few inches. The pack is certainly large enough for it. (BTW, the Ogio Less Drag's laptop compartment has a padded sleeve that keeps the zipper from closing if you have a thicker laptop and the quality of the pack does not meet the Alpinestar's quality.)
