The product is well constructed and is made from quality materials - feels expensive! The only let down would be the amount of space available in it.. but overall its a really good bag and the helmet carrier is obviously the main attraction. The half strap on one side is GENIUS! I wish all bags were like this!

Answer: 
It does have a sternum strap. It can be removed. I found the ergonomics of the bag to be good enough to where I didn't even need that strap. But if you want it, it is there.
