You get what you pay for.
I was very excited to get these in and was so disappointed with them. I did not like the fit of these pants and there's basically no protection in them. I would imagine a good pair of jeans would offer the same amount of protection, which isn't saying a lot. The knee armor (more like foam padding) sat very low and I don't think they will offer much impact protection in the even of a crash.
I quickly exchanged these for Dainese New Drake pants and while those are $100 more, they are easily worth it. The Dainese pants are very nice fitting, have better materials thoughout, and has great protection in all the right areas.

Works great for my commute
The pants unzip from the ankle all the way up to above the knee to make them easy to slip on. The adjustable velcro waistline is key. I can easily wear them over dress pants with a large belt on or just over athletic shorts on hot weekend days. The air flow is phenomenal with these pants. The knee pads tend to slip below the knee when standing but once you're on the bike they rise up to where they need to be. Overall, great summer riding/commuter pants in my opinion.

Eh...
Other than shabby knee foam there is no hint of armor.
The materials are basic, but adequate, as is design and build.
It will work, but if you want more protection, features, and quality materials, look at something else.

Great Air Flow, Hot in the seat area!
Great pant! I wear the forcefield protection underneath and still manage a lot of air flow. Hot in the seat area when off the bike and temps are up but I wouldn't sacrafice protection for comfort.

Nice overpants!
Bought these as overpants for the occasional commute to work on my bike. Tried Joe Rocket Phoenix 2 pants at first but even the Medium was overly baggy and looked awkward. Ended up getting the Air-Flo pants in size Large based on comments about them running small and they fit nicely over pants without too much excess material. I suspect a Medium would have fit well if I didn't use these as overpants, as I have to cinch up the waist pretty far on the large. For reference, I'm 170 lbs, 5'11", usually wear 32x32 pants. Fit is about right for a Euro product, which is to say probably a little on the small size for Americans.
Build quality is very good. Love the zippers on the side that allow you access the pockets on your street pants inside. Wish there was some sort of zipper or velcro closure for the outer pockets.
A couple of complaints: I would have liked to see CE rated knee armor at this price point instead of these useless foam pads. The pants also seem to run a little short as the hems ride up above my ankles when I'm on the bike (consequently, the knee armor also rises a little too high). The AGV Sport Solare pants, which I also own, does not have any of these issues and uses proper CE-rated armor in the knees for $50 less, so I'll continue to use those when I don't need overpants.

Very Comfortable.
These pants fit great and are super comfortable. Good air flow so they make a good summer pant. Material is of a good quality. very happy with these.
