When it comes to slowing down, motorcyclists do not always use their brakes. This can cause a potentially dangerous situation for drivers/riders behind you who are watching your lights and not your speed. Vololights solves this problem by detecting deceleration by any means via a 3 axis accelerometer. Whether you are using engine braking, downshifting or simply applying the brakes Vololights senses the change and speed and communicates your rate of deceleration to fellow drivers/riders through variable flashing brake lights, giving a clear indication of the urgency with which you are slowing down. So whether you are downshifting to take a turn or slamming on the brakes to avoid hitting a turtle, Vololights has your back.

Cars backs away from me..
Before installing this product, I noticed that cars behind comes real close to me when stopping.. Now, I can see that they are slowing down and moving further away every time I decelerate without hitting the brakes.
It just takes time for me to figure out how to make it in stealth mode. I followed the instructions many times and it seems like it did not go through stealth mode. so I give up and kept it into default settings. but ill try to play with it next time
What matter is... it's working.
Installing is not that bad. you may need to shave the plate a little bit for it to fit. other than that. its working.

Will not work properly with BMW C600 Sport
I purchased one of these plates from VOLOLIGHTS directly several months ago. First, with the BMW CAN-Bus, you CANNOT connect to the license plate light, but must run a fused line from the battery directly. Even still, after calibrating and re-calibrating it, I cannot get the product to perform as advertised. I am in communication with Vololights re: my difficulty, and so far, the best solution seems to be to wait until early 2015 when they expect to have a version for CAN-Bus available. In the meantime, it works when brakes are applied, but not independent of brakes. Doesn't seem to sense the off throttle slow down on its own, until the brakes increase the rate of decrease.

A S: I use my engine brake a lot, even when riding in traffic, and I see cars behind me coming too close. I usually hit the brakes lightly a couple of times just to flash the back light. I like knowing that this product will do the work for me, because who knows, I might forget to tap on my brakes just when I happen to have a distracted cager behind me. Extra lights also don't hurt.Apr 19, 2015
S U: Safety, I ride a KTM 690r and have had some comments form other riders that my brake light is hard to see.Dec 29, 2014
