The boomless feature is great!
This product is the best we've experianced in a boomless microphone situation. Mounting of the units was easy and solid, as was the speaker installation. Range was as described and volume crisp and clear especially the phone, which paired flawlessly.
As seasoned riders, we highly recomend this product!

Good but could be better.
Easy to install, so much nicer than routing all the extra cables with wired microphones. Audio quality is pretty good so far, extra step to make a voice call compared to a Cardo system. Two buttons for the UClear versus 1 for the Cardo unit. East to sync the two units together. Installation in my wife's Shoei was super easy, the well defined ear pockets fit the larger than average speakers easily. My Icon Variant was less simple. The fit is tight around my ears and will take more riding to decide if it's OK or too uncomfortable. Would be nice to have a kit that had in ear headphones as standard so you could choose between them.

This product has compatibility issues.
The hbc100plus is easy to install, pairs easy with phone or gps. I have a new Can-am that comes with a Sena SM10 for bluetooth connectivity, the hbc100plus will pair with the unit but if you ever use the intercom it will not reconnect to the SM10. The only way to reconnect to the SM10 is to power cycle the SM10, which is hard to do traveling down the highway and it located in the storage compartment. I have tried to contact Uclear and Sena, only Sena replyed and this is what they had to say:
I believe there may be some compatibility issue with teh Uclear and the SM10. The SM10 is program to constantly transmit a signal to a Headset, then it's the Headset that accepts or rejects the signal. For our Headset, if it's already paired with the SM10, it remember to reconnect to the SM10 after it disconnects from it temporarily. I am not sure how the Uclear work technically, so I cannot fully comment on it's function.

So far Uclear support has been non-existence. If you do not have the SM10 then this is the way to go, no boom mic, clean audio. If you have the SM10 then do not get this unless Uclear fixes this problem.

Bought these at a trade show in Feb '12, directly from the manufacturer, with the understanding that if I wasn't satisfied, John, the owner, said they could be sent back and they'd pick up the shipping. Tried them out before putting them in the helmet and both the intercom and Bluetooth/cell worked fine. After installing them and making a cell call the trouble started. With the flip front down on my helmet, the person on the other end of the call could barely hear me; it was like listening to someone talking through a Quaker Oats box. With the flip front up it was barely acceptable. It was the same sound quality for the intercom.
I got the factory involved and they had me move the location of the speakers up down and all around, told me it was the software in my phone, said it was the helmet I had them in and said it needed the external noise created while a bike was in motion to work the noise canceling circuitry properly! What happens if you are on a call and have to stop for a traffic signal? I tried them in 3 different brands of helmets. It was February/March in Chicago and my wife even drove me around in the car so I could stick my head out of the window to see if the noise at speed made a difference. In the end they never did work.
The folks I talked to from the mfr did spend a lot of time trying to figure out the problem. When they could not be made to work and I'd said I'd had enough, I had to put up with a song and dance about getting my money back. I did get an offer to send the units back and as soon as the model 200 came out they would use me as a tester and all's this was going to cost me was what I had already paid. I've done a number of focus groups for my trade and have always been paid for my time; not the other way around. The hobby is riding the motorcycle, not tinkering with the comm set.
Although they were never used at speed with music playing, the sound quality was good the couple of times I'd listened to an MP3 when I was monkeying around with the other issues.
Last summer, after finally getting them returned and refunded, I bought Sena SMH10's from Revzilla and could not be happier. Although I've never had to return anything to Revzilla, their WRITTEN plan carries great appeal.
