Spidi Neck DPS Airbag Vest

Extremely light and comfortable vest incorporating inflatable neck airbag. A double cushion wraps around the user’s neck area and will inflate upon impact (via tether cord), increasing the level of safety in case of crash. The system works with the rider’s helmet to reduce potentially damaging neck movements and increasing the tendency to roll on the ground, thus limiting potentially dangerous leverage situations against the terrain’s surface.

Features:

  • Designed to be worn over track suits or jackets (zipper expansion for race suit hump)
  • Helps prevent neck related injuries
  • Inflates in 2 tenths of a second (0.2)
  • If airbag is not damaged in crash, it can be reset by installing a new C02 cartridge
  • The trigger comes with new generation YKK buckles mounted on Keramide wires able to resist a 440lb pull to prevent accidental activation
  • CE level 1 Warrior Chest Protector included

Bought a large to fit over medium spidi jacket which fits well I am 5'10" 150 pounds. I have the Spidi Netix Mesh Jacket along with the back insert. That jacket fits snug and well. Almost taylor fit for my size. I felt that to go with another medium in this would be too tight so I went with the large. The large fits very well over it as I hoped. With the adjusters on the side you can make this thing tight even without the jacket underneath so I wouldn't worry about the large NOT accommodating properly over a medium spidi jacket IF you happen to be my size. I can make the large fit snug (as recommended in the manual to function properly) over the medium jacket well. I battled with the price of the thing as many have but in the end look at this as a valuable life saving device. The only thing that keeps me from riding is safety concerns so this thing allows me to ride a little more. :) Every time any of us get on a motorcycle we are playing the lottery with who gets hurt and who gets to walk away. This increases your chances on walking away. I am gambler in real life so this lottery ticket means a lot to me to stay safe. I don't like getting on a bike wondering. I want to know I have the best odds. June 4, 2015
Jacket Large = Buy vest Large The Spidi Neck DPS Airbag Vest I bought, was a "Large" size and it fits over my "Gerbing" "Large" jacket. The fit is comfortable yet snug, as is required for the efficient operation of the vest (plenty of Velcro adjustment available). Great quality and finish, very happy. P.S. Get the Spidi Warrior "Comp" 510 Back Protector to compliment this vest. March 23, 2015
