The “Warrior” technology used in the EVO is based on highly shock absorbing light composite cell materials resulting in innovative lightness, ergonomic flexibility, superior impact absorption and abrasion resistance. Back Warrior EVO is all the above and is also one-size-fits-all thanks to its micrometric height regulation scale on the lower back. The rider simply adjusts the belt on the scale according to his/her height and morphology. Back Warrior Evo is able to fit both male and female riders from 165cm up to 190cm. The belt is also made of punched, elasticized fabric with Velcro and naturally follows the morphology of the user for extra comfort.
Track Day Buddy
After visiting the store in Philly and talking to Bobby on the sales floor, he convinced me that this was a great back protector to get. It's profile is not as bulky as some other models, it's reasonably light, vents well (I was just at a track day in 108 degree heat in the Mojave desert) and is easy off and easy on. Other than cinching the shoulder straps down too far in my second track session....that pulled the protector up too high, preventing me from lifting my chin all the way (back helmet edge was hitting the Spidi) the fit is comfortable and easy to get dialed. I forgot I had it on while riding. A great, well-designed and engineered product. Terrific protection in lieu of the CE foam pad that inserts into my Vanson Cobra2 jacket...

Thin and comfortable. Appears to provide excellent protection.
I wear this back protector under an Alpinestars Tech 1R. It is thin so it doesn't take up too much breathing room and it's very comfortable. The straps allow for lots of adjustment and keep the back protector securely positioned. The waffle pattern that goes against your back probably enhances air flow but it's hard to detect. Spidi's design is definitely more advanced than the old Dainese back protector I wore under my Safety Pro 10 years ago.

Steven G:The Spidi Back Warrior EVO Back Protector in my opinion doesnt prevent spinal hyperextension. I dont think it secures down enough on your back to prevent that. Im not sure there are any race back protectors that do. I think if there was a back protector that did, it probably wouldnt make for a comfortable piece to wear on a motorcycle, especially in a full tuck. It does however a fine job in absorbing shock to the spine and lower shoulder blades. I have crash twice. Once at 40+mph and a lowside at 65+mph and it did its job perfectly. I think you may be looking for the Leatt STX RR Road Neck Brace to do the job of preventing hyperextension of the spine. Sep 6, 2014
