Speed and Strength Top Dead Center Jacket
Good Starter Jacket
So I've owned this jacket for about a year now and can safely say from a beginner motorcyclists perspective how it performs.
Bang for the Buck - The jacket has CE certified armor and it has a really minimalist design, for the price it has decent features and protection. However, after a year of riding I'm certainly looking for something more protective from both a crash and elemental perspective as I'm a very safety conscious rider.
Style - The jacket gets a 5/5 in my book. I've been complimented many times on the jacket it's very sporty/matches my dual-sport and overall it's just really a nice bright jacket that turns heads.
Comfort - Comfort is certainly adequate. I'm 6'2 165 lbs. I got a size medium after referencing RevZilla's sizing chart, It fits well but the sleeves are a bit short and the armor placement took some getting used to. Although this can be attributed to me getting a size smaller than I should have, overall it's not uncomfortable in any way.
Protection & Durability - I have no doubt the armor will do it's job in the event of a crash on the street. Although, the textile is what worries me. I know the jacket is also constructed with rip-stop as well, though the jacket is very thin and I think any crash over 35-40 MPH might tear this thing up. I feel safe wearing it though, but the main reason I chose this jacket was budget and the fact that it gets very hot in Las Vegas in summer time and I think this would've been slightly more protective that a budget mesh jacket.
Air Flow - As previously stated, I live in Las Vegas so temps can fluctuate drastically between summer and winter. In the summer, I ride the entire season without being uncomfortable in this jacket. Regularly over 100 degrees the jacket flowed enough air for me to be reasonably comfortable although stopped at a light I was a little hot. As of 2/3/15 it's beginning to heat up in Vegas again around the 60-70F mark It's a little chilly for me but if I toss a sweater underneath I can stay warm. Everyone has different temperature tolerances, I can handle the heat way better than the cold. I should mention I've been caught in the rain a few times in this jacket and it's not fun. You'll get drenched, the water goes right through it. Keep this in mind if you commute like I do and the weather takes an unexpected turn.
Features - Decent amount of pockets, the vents are ok, at this price there's not much to expect.
In conclusion, great jacket for the price. Again if you're on a budget I think it's a good option but for a year round commuter it's definitely limited and you'll be looking for a higher end jacket at the end of a single riding season.

Good jacket, poor Velcro
All in all this a good jacket but the Velcro used is really cheap and probably will not last 1 season. I personally don't like this jacket because it bunches up in front and doesn't have double zippers or any way to decrease the front of it from bunching up. Other than that - it's good. Material is ok, fit is ok, but I'm going to keep looking and invest in a higher quality jacket.

This jacket is the most comfortable jacket I've owned, it's thin it breaths well and has high quality armor. You can't beat this thing for its price. My only complaint is I'm 5 11 195lbs and the medium fit me perfect except the arm length is to short by a couple of inches. But everything else is spot on. And I love the styling.

Save your money for a better jacket
First off, i love the look. The asymmetrical design is KILLER.
The airflow is AMAZING.
that's it for pros.
The build quality is AWFUL. The Velcro wrist closures started weakening about 2 weeks out, and the seems on the shoulder above the armor have started to give way and fray after about 2 months. I ride with a backpack about 50% of the time, and that probably added to the wear and tear, but honestly, if a 2 pound backpack tore it up, i shudder to think what it would do in a down.
As a comparison, i have had 2 other jackets, a Technic and a Built.
Both of those were put through MUCH worse conditions and are no worse for wear.
I do not recommend this jacket... just save up and get an icon/scorpion/astar.
looks alone can not save you, S&S.

Love the design!
This is a nice jacket for spring, summer, and fall, but on a cool morning you may want to put something on under it. Overall this is a nice jacket for early spring riding season and fall season riding, but not designed for inclement weather. I also would have preferred more durable padding in the shoulders and elbow, I change them out to level 3 armor, which allows for a more comfortable fit. It's a nice jacket if you looking for something stylishness and offers protection when needed.

Good first jacket, great for the price.
I'm 5'9" 140-160lbs (depending on the season ;)). I wear a 38 in a suit and I ordered a small. Fit is spot on with room for a hoodie underneath. Features include removable back, shoulder, and elbow protection. Comes with loops for belt attachment and a zipper that can be sewn into your favorite riding pants (probably also zips to other S&S gear. The vents work really well and you can really feel the air flowing in the arms and out the back. Velcro cuffs and forearm adjustment straps complete the "amenities".
It's my first jacket so I can't comment on how it compares with other brands. I would recommend it to anyone who it thinking about getting into the MC world and wants to feel good without breaking the bank.
The vertical stripe down the back looks good and increases your visibility from behind. The only thing I wish it had was more (any) collar, sometimes the wind around the neck is a little cool
Overall it's a sharp looking jacket that seems to be holding up well.
