Excellent helmet looks so good
I have just recently purchased the urge overkill ss2500 dual sport helmet. I loved it in the pictures, and it looks even better in person. I love the aggressive dimensions of this helmet. A stunning piece of riding gear.

Well let's get started. I am right in the middle of the small size on speed and strengths sizing chart. I am so happy, this helmet fits so true to size. It fits me perfectly. Contact on every part of my head, from chin and cheeks to forehead and crown. It is a light helmet and very comfortable.

As far as features go. My favorite feature of all is the speed strap. I won't buy another helmet without a speed strap. The ease of use and ability to take the helmet off and on fast and with gloves on is something I now can't live without. The venting is good and the toggles are easy to use. The visor seals against soft rubber very well, no air gets through at all.

My only gripe. I just wish the visor had a tab for opening and closing so that I don't get smudges and fingerprints on the visor window itself (I hate smudges).

Did I mention this helmet looks and feels so good? ;)

Almost forgot, I was thinking I would buy a helmet case for it, but no need, it comes with its own helmet bag!

If you are interested in the ss2500 helmet but hesitant, don't be. Such a great helmet

My purchase was an easy choice. Due to the revzilla team and their superb video reviews.

Thanks revzilla

Not To Shabby
It fits a little tighter than i am used to but i am hoping the passing will expand a bit and mold. If you plan on riding on long trips or past 75 mph i recommend earplugs, it's loud.

Outstanding
well i purchased this helmet strictly for its functionality, it does seem to run a little snug. but not snug enough to have to go up a size. the quick release strap is killer! bottom line...great helmet for the price, plus it looks awesome!

Great for the price
The graphic looks as good in person as in pictures. This helmet has basic features but does have a quick release chin strap which is really nice and now that I've had one I wish every helmet would. This helmet has a visor and it will catch a bit of wind, not unbearable, but you can notice it. I used it on a bike without a fairing/windscreen and even at highway speed I didn't feel like my head was being ripped off. Airflow is ok, not the best, not the worst. I'm comfortable in 80+ degrees with the vents open and 40-50 with them closed. Fit is a little more narrow than other helmets. I typically wear a small in other brands and other s&s but this helmet is a little snug around my face. I think the next size up would be too big overall.. It is still comfortable, even if you're in it all day, but it was the first thing I noticed when putting it on. The last thing is that the visor took a bit of getting used to because of the angle of the lens is different other helmets I've had. If you are on the fence I would go for it. It's a decent helmet especially for the price and it looks great too. I ordered the dark shield at the same time and it really sets this helmet off. I have had the dark shield on when riding at night, I would not recommend throwing away the clear if you do a lot of night riding but if the sun is up at all, even when cloudy, the dark shield works great.

Great helmet
Used to use the Fly Trekker which was an OK helmet but was a little too round for my head and hurt after an hour or so. Padding is better in the SS and shape. Also like how the screen pushes up further so it's completely out of your field of view (not so with the Fly), I think it's a little lighter as well. The fast release strap is great too (when you get bees stuck in your helmet or ants crawling in your ear - yes, that does happen)...getting the helmet off fast is much easier. Also goes on easier - just need to push it in several clicks so it holds firm.

This helmet is very light and has a great visual area.
It has a very cool design and looks great with a sliver or black smoke visor. It fits tight so sound doesn't go through that well.

Meets the price point
If you can get it on sale and are interested in it, I would totally recommend this helmet. I personally love the shape (the design is a little much but it's grown on me). Not the quietest helmet, especially if you're coming from something more expensive. It breathes real nice, however I haven't ridden in the summer with it yet. It does fit slightly differently than a traditional helmet due to its off-road styling but I like it. Just know that you're not buying a top tier helmet, so don't expect top tier performance. Typical Mid range price for the mid range performance.

Very quiet for a dual sport helmet.
It fits real good, it's very quiet and you have plenty visibility, great graphic design and light weight.

Functional n looks badass
I was worried that the visor would catch too much air and wrench my head around like my motocross helmet does at high speed. It has a very open design however and it causes very little distraction. Very good visability. Removable padding very easy to take out and put back in. I've gotten lots of compliments on this lid. Great helmet for under $200.

Awesome helmet!
Very nice looking helmet and very functional. Very good bang for your buck. Just takes some getting used to looking down through the visor... Just a little distortion but nothing major. Def upgrade to the darker visors.

Great looking helmet but had an issue with the face shield gasket coming unglued. Sent back to Revzilla and they exchanged it hassle free.

I wanted a helmet that didn't look out of place on a dualsport motorcycle while riding on the city, I tried a motocross helmet and dealing with googles is too bothersome, riding without googles is not an option. This fits the bill so far and I really like the graphics.
Augusto Z on Dec 7, 2015
Look, price, and use of goggles while being able to close face guard were the main reasons why I chose this helm. I'm really enjoying it. I love this helm!

Do the decals continue under the sun visor? I would be doing a lot of riding without the sun visor attached, and I wouldn't want the designs to have cut offs where the visor was. Thank you!
A shopper on Sep 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the decals are fully complete under the visor. Do note that the back of the visor behind the helmet also acts as a cover for some wire mesh and foam. Its not aesthetically pleasing being exposed and held on by cheap glue so I removed them. Might increase air flow and some noise but that doesn't bother me.
Can I wear goggles with this helmet?
Pavel B on Jul 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: YES, From experience. Was riding with goggles on/shield up, when it started to shower (Crazy summer shower in S.B.). I lowered the shield/visor carefully, and had no issues. Goggle strap fit fine with visor down. (Spy goggles)

AWESOME helmet!!!
Snug fit thought. I had to make an alteration to check pads...No problem...
I am running the mirrored lens.
Can i get a White colored glass on this Helmet"?
A shopper on Sep 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Not 100% sure it comes in white, but you can buy the visor in black and silver. Just look for "SS2500 visor" (it comes with a clear visor)
Do the decals continue under the sun visor? I would be doing a lot of riding with out the sun visor attached and I wouldn't want the design to have cut offs where the sun visor was. Thank you!
Jazz W on Sep 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The decals DO continue under the visor of the Urge Overkill. The visors are removable so all color schemes on any SS2500 remain constant.
