Dry Feet After getting soaked a few times (even though this is California), I wanted something that would keep me dry. My original pair of Sidi Fusions didn't quite last 18 months, and the Vortices were a bit much for everyday riding so based on reviews I ordered these. They fit pretty tight for a 46, but that's probably the lining. I've been getting poked in my right ankle by one of the armored bits, but it's been getting better as they get broken in. As Sidi boots go, they're pretty subtle (all black/grey). They might be overkill for around here, but I'm pretty happy. I've also got a low tolerance for cold, so those over the bridge freeway rides are a lot nicer now... November 5, 2012
Plenty of protection for road riding, yet plenty comfortable for some walking They seem pretty true to size. I haven't tried out the waterproof aspect, yet. They were plenty comfortable enough wearing around school for a few hours, not a ton of walking, but they handled it well. They don't feel like much more than a normal boot to me. Although, certainly have to get use to wearing them on the bike compared to normal shoes, just a trade off for the protection I suppose. Rated airflow low since it's a rain boot, still after two hours sitting in a 70 degree class room, my feet felt dry. They handled my 45-50deg commute quite well, 30 miles and no chills. Comfortable and Waterproof! Sidi does come a tad narrow due to it's italian construction. They are very comfortable to walk in and easy to get in and out of them. There's a lining behind the zipper to keep out the rain. No complaints on these boots. January 12, 2012
Sidi's Are the Bomb! After speaking with a riding buddy who had Sidi airflow boots and trying on his (which fit perfect), combined with the fact that after 19 years of mountain biking and finding that Sidi's were by far superior to any other shoe, I decided to go with this rain model, mostly for the fact that I live in Wyoming and it tends to get cold, and sometimes wet. Summary? Amazing boots! They fit great, look great, and keep my feet extremely warm and dry. I did a ride in 37 degree weather over the weekend and my toes were toasty. If you're thinking about these boots, or any Sidi models, I highly recommend them and plan on purchasing another pair for next summer for warmer weather riding. October 11, 2011

My foot is size 7- 7.5 usually with a calf diameter of 13-14 inchs. I was looking at the Vertigos for this reason but really like the waterproof feature as we often get caught out in the rain.

Answer: 
I took a measurement around the circumference of a size 41 boot, with the velcro lined up edge to edge and got a measurement of 16 inches. As Vinnie T mentions below, there is a wide section of velcro that will allow for some adjustability if you need to cinch the boot more.

Usually, people worry about calf fit if they have large calves. Also, you will be able to adjust this boot a bit at the top velcro flap. Good luck!
