Shoei CW-1 Spectra Faceshield
Looks awesome but comes with a price
Defiantly love the look of the chrome with my x12. I get compliments on it all the time. However, the tin isn't very dark so on sunny days you'll be squinting. (Also, people can see you through the visor when directly in the sun which kind of looses that "cool" effect) Overall I'm glad I bought it but the price just seems a little steep for it to have a weak tint.

This visor is the only one you need.
Love the visor, it has made it possible not to have to wear sun glasses. You know unconfotable that can be , when the helmets pushes down . That uncomfortable feelin is gone.

Went with Gold
I put it on a matte grey Qwest. It looks great. The gold coating really shines. I look like an astronaut or like the Wraith from that 80s movie. It's slightly intimidating-looking and it's funny to see people look away. The fit was spot on but it was a little hard to line it up because I couldn't see through it. Slightly tinted. The price is a bit much but it's basically the coolest visor on earth.

Not Completely Opaque
In direct sunlight, your face will be slightly visible. I'm sure that's how it is for all mirror visors but for the amount of money I paid, it felt like it should be totally impossible to see through. Most of the time it's good, and I would definitely recommend it if you want the look. I included a comparison photo, one in direct sun and one normal, so you can see what I'm talking about.

Spectra face shield is a perfect fit on my Shoei Qwest and has excellent functionality. I wanted the look of a reflective shield and the Spectra accomplishes that very well.. I was very impressed with clarity of the visor compared to some of the darker tints I've used in the past. Spectra is pricey but worth it!

Nice face shield
Got the blue shield to go with the blue Qwest. Looks great and hasn't got one scratch yet. Very durable so far. Would buy it again.

I wish they had this shade in the pinlock model
I went back and forth and back and forth on whether to get the pinlock model of visor, which is meant to eliminate fogging issues, or the plain visor in chrome color, which is reported to transition reasonably well day to night. So I purchased both, to do the experiment. Bottom line--the chrome grey color is perfect for driving on sunny days (which are especially painful in western Oregeon since we're not accustomed to seeing that round yellow orb) and still being able to see at night. But the pinlock does a fabulous job against fogging. So I still waver. What I want is a chrome pinlock visor, with a clear insert. What I have now is more visors than I need, but none of them perfect.

Great visor but wish it was darker
I got the gold mirror finish and it looks freaking awesome. The clarity and optics on the inside turns everything a slightly blueish tint but everything is crystal clear and little distortion.
My only complaint is that i wish the lens was actually darker, in direct sun, i still squint which is a downgrade from my previous mirror visor on a different brand helmet.
The pro to this is that you can use the visor in more varied lighting conditions - it will likely be sufficient for bright days but also on cloudy days so you will have to swap it out less.
