Shark Race-R Pro Redding Replica Helmet
Warning to Road Racers: No ECE 22.05 Sticker Anywhere
I love this helmet, but unfortunately it is of no use to me as Shark has taken the decision to not put an ECE 22.05 sticker on the helmet. The North American helmets only show a DOT/FMVSS 218 rating only.
Trying to explain to technical inspection why your helmet is ECE rated but doesn't have the sticker really, really sucks.
If you are buying this helmet for street use, by all means get it. Fantastic helmet, great protection, and I assume it is identical to the ECE rated helmets in Europe.
But... if you are intending to use it for racing, avoid the entire Race-R Pro and Race-R Pro Carbon line until Shark starts putting the certification on the back of their helmets.

Just what I was looking for.
I was determined to get this helmet by any means possible once I tried my buddy's helmet. Good luck finding one to purchase in your local area, if I remember correctly there is only one authorized distributer in the states. Yeah sure the helmet is a bit pricey, but so is your head. If you are looking for a helmet there is no excuse to not get the maximum protection. I love this helmet, it's super light weight, aerodynamic, quite and comfortable. Once it's time to get a new helmet I'm buying this exact same one again. RevZilla had the best price listed and shipped quickly.

All Objectives Met
My first new helmet in years. I wanted safety and protection first, then style. What I got was a secure fit, great ventilation, a terrific 'optically correct' face shield and I love the fact that the helmet was built to accommodate wearing glasses.
Then there is the style...incredibly sharp!

Very Good helmet
Very comfortable and aerodynamic. Makes high speed riding more comfortable and the air flow through the helmet will keep you cool even on very hot days.

Helmet with great features
Just got this helmet yesterday and tried this - oh boy, this is an awesome helmet. I was using the HJC CL-16 on my Gixxer earlier, which was heavy, bending my neck and crouching was really painful.
Riding in tuck position is so easy with this helmet. At really good speeds, when you turn your head, you'll hear a nice whistle, which you need to get used to (This is because of the various vents on the helmet). Its fit is spot on, the only flip side is - just like any other race helmets, you need a pair of earplugs to stop the noise.

This is a race thoroughbred
Got this for commuting in dangerous LA traffic because it's the highest SHARP-rated helmet available in the states (Five stars, but more importantly, "Green" rating for all 5 impact zones).
While it's solidly built, looks good, it should be known that this girl is not made to be the most comfortable helmet in the world, it's made for protection on the track.
Noise: she's loud. Coming off a Scorpion 500 she's only a tad louder than that helmet. For $600 you'd think they'd pay a bit more attention to noise.
Before I go into fit let me explain my beautiful head shape: From front to back: my head is wider at the back, and slims as it approaches my forehead. From top to bottom: my head is wider at the top and narrows as it approaches my jaw line. I'm a Large in this and the Scorpion 500-- which is the best fitting helmet I've had for my head shape.
Helmet fit: pretty darn close to perfect, but need a few millimeters more more front to back-- I can feel some uncomfortable pressure on my forehead after about 20 minutes, which as you'll see in other comments here or on forums leaves a red mark and two mosquito bites (from the 2 vents holes in the liner--bad idea shark). I may dremmel out a milli or two from the eps, which I had to do on my previously owned Scorpion 700. I've read others complain about the big cheek pads, and while they do hinder smiling, they aren't bothersome to me. Also, the helmet does not cover as much of the back of my head as the scorpion, it basically begins coverage right where my neck ends and my skull begins, but again this is a race helmet meant to live in the tuck position where your head is kinked backwards slightly.
Liner: Good, but not as good as the scorpion kwik wik material. If my head is hot, it feels the same temp when I put on the helmet-- the scorpion has a cooling sensation (may sound weird but it's true)
Ventilation: crazy good. Especially over the top of the ears if your shield is open because shark leave a millimeter for sunglasses to fit, that tiny opening suck air in, which is good for me and my big ear that get hot.
Shield: Incredible. Easy on easy off mechanism that's very solidly built, far superior to Scorpions quick change system. Optically it's astounding, very clear. Anti fog works well so far. But mainly, she's a beast of plastic. Feel VERY secure when shut.
Misc: love the air filter that's in the mouth vent. Killer idea shark designers!
Sharktooth: was easy to install, really sexy design, sound is just OK. Loud enough-- and yes position is everything. Music sounds the best. Podcast are OK. Phone calls are almost unbearable poor sounding -- voices sound crackly. Best thing is it does work with Siri, which I read one reviewer say it didn't, either they are just plain wrong on apple updated bluetooth capability with Siri since then. Main appeal: design is flawless and don't have to wear earbuds. Had to remove neck liner to install which is a pain in the buttocks to put back in. Here's how: start at the back and as you move forward, pull the liner back toward the rear. So first you push it in between the eps and shell and then pull back to the rear.

I just bought my 4th helmet this year and its the Race R Pro from shark.
All my helmets were from good brands but unfortunetly was not good for me.
My main concern in a helmet is to be quiet and light in weight and finally i can say i found my helmet which is the race r pro....I advice any rider who rides a sport bike to get this helmet.
Its the first time i feel the vents in a helmet works...it feels like i have an air conditioner inside the helmet with the amount of air passing by inside out.
The quality and finishing of the helmet is a high standard and you feel that your head is really safe in that thing.
My friends which i ride with are now considering to get the same helmet ....So offcourse i send them the link of revzilla to start buying there items from there.
Revzilla thank you very much for the videos which really help the buyers decide in the item they want to purchase and for the best customer service and fast shipping.
