Good replacement I bought the wired mic because I have a full face helmet. I purchased the (less expensive) boom mic SENA system and just ordered these for it as it was still considerably less expensive than buying the kit with both styles of mics for some reason. They hook right in and the whole thing is easy to install. February 9, 2015
Works well I bought the Sena SMH5 and used this in place of the mic that comes with the system. The mic worked well for the few hours that I was able to use it. Unfortunately the headset died and I havent really gotten to use the mic since then. Luckily revzilla has great customer service and I will have a new one coming my way soon. September 24, 2014
glad I found this I ride 5-6 days a week and had worn out my old mic from my Senna ( which I love). I was relieved that there was such an easy, inexpensive fix to that problem. it installed in seconds and works great. Thanks Revzilla September 8, 2014
Great for the price! I purchased the Sena SMH5 communications device package for my wife and I so that we could communicate while riding my motorcycle. The set came with boom mics that worked well, but took up a lot of room in our full faced helmets. I ordered two of these wired mics. I ride a 2005 Kawasaki Concours with a tall windshield and full fairing, so the wired mic works very well for me, but we might go back to the boom mic with my wife as the wind noise in the wired mic in my wife's helmet makes me turn down my volume so far that I have to strain to hear her even when her visor is down. We will try to move the mic up into her helmet further to see if that rectifies the problem and will update if that occurs. Revzilla's service was very fast. August 18, 2014
Works for what it is It's a replacement mic, it works, does it's job, but isn't the top of the line, but you expect that at the price point. I am happy with my purchase and will purchase more in the future for any new helmets I buy. June 23, 2014
Works great. I bought the SMH5 but it only came with the boom mic. Since I have a full face helmet I bought this Wired Mic. It was easy to install and sounds good. I didn't have any troubles with noise at 55MPH with a full face helmet and windshield. June 2, 2014
Quick to install Needed a replacement mic for my Sena SMH5-FM. This was a snap (literally) to install and has worked wonderfully with no complaints from those I speak with. April 21, 2014
perfect option for full face When trying to decide on a bluetooh device I used price 35%, functionality / durability 50% and reviews 15%. with price as a pretty big factor I can only say WOW!! The SMH-5 is a great unit. for thoes with a full face there is only one way to go, wired mic. it is small and out of the way with great sound clarity on the other end. I do not have to bring yell regardless of the speed and it goes seamlessly in line with the rest of the unit. I do fell that over time grabing my helmet by the face will wearout the foam which is why I make a concious effort to move my fingers. When it commes to communication this will be the best $5-6 spent. November 11, 2013

A s: I would say so. As electronics these days are made to a standard for ease of the manufacturer, I doubt there would be a model to model change for something so trite. I would head to the revzilla store if you are local, just to make sure and check it out, but I doubt there will be a problem. Aug 12, 2013

William G: My guess would be "yes" but why guess when you can just send an email to senabluetooth support. They have been very helpful in answering questions I had before I purchased my sena helmet communication sets. Don't forget to post the answer here on Revzilla Sep 16, 2013

RevZilla: No, the Sena SMH5 Replacement Wired Microphone will not be compatible with the SMH-10. You will need the Sena SMH-10 Helmet Clamp Kit - Attachable Boom and Wired Microphone, in order to use a wired microphone with your SMH-10. Jan 28, 2013
