Michele D: Fit my requirements for protection and has wonderful lines and comfort features. I bought it for my husband, we are both first time riders, so this and the orchid for me are our first helmets. So far, excellent. We're really happy with them.May 8, 2014
Joshua W: good price good look and snell rated those were the criteria for buying a helmet and this met all 3Apr 6, 2014

Theresa C: I had the EXO-700, a helmet I love so much because of the fit, that I wore it with all its pitted glory from the road gravel, until it's untimely demise of the faceshield holder when it fell off the bench it was sitting on. I've had the EXO-700 since 2006, and since Scorpion is phasing out the 700 line, this is the closest model I can find to my old 700.Sep 12, 2013
Brian G: Revzilla video description, and high user rating for a decent price.Aug 21, 2013
A shopper asked:I have the EXO 400. The video mentioned this fits a little different. I wear a 2xl in the 400 which fits perfect. How much difference is the fit between the two. Do I need to go down a size?Aug 19, 2013
Steven M:My previous helmet was also a EXO 400 which is 2XL in size. After wearing this helmet for over a year it has become slightly loose. Please keep that in mind while I continue.
When ordering the EXO-R410 the sizing chart showed I would wear a medium. I ordered a large and it seems to be a perfect fit. Please note, the neck hole is much narrower than the one on the EXO 400. I had to force my head through the neck hole of the R-410 the first few times, but it is starting to loosen up after a few rides. Plus my head fit well after getting past the neck opening.
The EXO-R410 is a very nice helmet. Much quieter than the EXO 400, better ventilation, good eye glass relief, less buffeting in the wind, and seems lighter on the head. I really like it so far. Aug 19, 2013
So you went from a 2XL in the 400 to a large in the R410?? Seems like a huge difference. Great to hear about the 410 being better as the 400 was a great helmet. It was hard to find a replacement in that price range with similar build quality.

Yes, went from a 2XL in the 400 to a large in the R410. Keep in mind the 400 is a little loose on me after riding in it for a over a year. So it might have been a size to large to begin with.

Matthew M:So I received the R410-2XL and it is definitely a size larger than the EXO-400 2XL. I could move it from side to side a little when shaking my head. When it was strapped in, I could lift the back to the front which brought the top of the opening over my eyes. The shield ratchet is great, solid, and snaps tight to close. It is slightly lighter than 400, which would be nice in the wind and day long rides. I have the XL on exchange now which I can't wait for.Aug 26, 2013
Matthew M:So i got the R410-2XL and it is definitely a size larger than the EXO-400 2XL. I could move it side to side. When strap is done up, I could lift the back end towards the front, making the opening cover my eyes. I have the XL on order now. The visor ratchet is awesome. Nice action, great locking system and it is slightly lighter in weight than the 400. Can't wait for the right size to come to try on the road.Aug 26, 2013
Nancy K:I used a broken-in Medium EXO-400 in my MSF training class. When I got the 410, I did go down a size since the fit is a bit different (rounder and not as long front-to-back). The small 410 fits my perfectly.Aug 21, 2013
Nicolas P asked:Has anyone had trouble opening the face shield? Does it loosen up after time? Mine needs quite a bit of effort to lift and even then it does not lift evenly until at the 3rd or 4th detent, possibly manufacturing error? And no, the locking mechanism is not in the locking position.Feb 10, 2014
Caitlin G:I do sometimes. I think it may be a safety thing. But usually when I ride I have it open a little bit for breathing purposes. Past that first and/or second detent it's fine, after that it's smooth sailing for me.Feb 12, 2014
A shopper asked:When I look at the size chart on line, I should be a large, my head is 23.25 inches. when I tried one on at the store the large felt tight. I read that it will loosen up after a while, should I purchase as per sizing chart and assume it will loosen up with ime?Dec 8, 2013
Any difficulty getting it on or off? Nasty pressure points while wearing? Could you keep it on for any duration without even slight discomfort?
A helmet should be snug without pain and remain comfortable during prolonged use. Although the padding will eventually break in and offer a bit more of a relaxed fit, the helmet should not be uncomfortable to wear or put on and take off.
Worst case scenario you could always order a second set of pads at a size larger or smaller just in case, as the helmet shell is essentially a medium and the actual sizing is adjusted by the removable inside padding.Dec 9, 2013
Robert F:The padding around the cheeks will mold to the shape of your face. There is less padding around the crown of your head so that part will not loosen up. If it fit good on your head and it was just the squishy padding around the cheeks, ears and neck that was tight I would say you are fine.Dec 11, 2013
Matthew M:To a point. I have washed mine(EXO 400) in the wash and air dried them. The vinyl on the bottom does get stressed a little from the washer though, which makes it crack, I believe. But, Im not 100% sure if it is also just wear and tear as I put alot of miles on it in the past year. But it does come out nice and fresh!Aug 26, 2013
Muhammad K:I didn't have an exo-700 or never even wore one but for me I just switched to scorpion coming from shark and I followed strictly based on the measuring table and it fit snug and I've been riding with mine for about 2 weeks it's still snug doesn't seem its slowly starting to loosen up and seems like it won't get too loose i has a very good fit on my head. If your extremely concerned about sizes the easy trick would be going to a local shop finding one of these and trying em on. I don't think it'll be a size difference from same line of helmet shape + company. Mar 21, 2014
